agaugust: You don't win war by k.illing innocent civilians, it's the real armed enemy that gives you the real problem you have to kill. MumuThe biggest war human kind has ever witnessed(world war 2) saw cities will innocent civilians targeted. Your post is irrelevant. |
andrewza: If he was intelligent he would have been able toIt is normal in the Nigerian army, soldiers will run like crazy without senior commanders screaming at them. NCOs don't have a proper role. |
agaugust: Very intelligent Colonel, should promoted to Recce Battalion officer. Brilliant escapology from inside enemy territory, world class soldier.Pure coward. Our Colonels in Angola,Lesotho,CAR and DRC never wore women clothing to save their skins. |
PrinxArthur1: MRAPS WAS FIRST BIULT IN 19TH CENTURY BY US ARMY,BUT STILL IN USE IN 21ST CENTURYNew designs not the same old Dragunov. |
FighterPilot: NAF can never defeat BH in an infantry battle, at some occasions the colonel had to disguise as a WOMAN to escape the fierce of BH after his man lost the battle. LOL!!!! Funny but true. |
agaugust: You live inside Damboa? This is the 21st century. Your army in 2014 introduces the Dragunov as a sniper rifle. ![]() |

There's a clear command and control in the SA. You'll see soldiers using their laser range finding and designating binoculars will deadly accuracy. Guiding mortars, artillery, smart bombs etc. But civilians always die in a war zone. |
Thiza: When Islamist militants raided the northeastern Nigerian village of Izghe, killing 90 people, some government troops dropped their weapons, stripped off their uniforms and fled in civilian clothes, according to two soldiers who were at the scene. That's like R1000. SA soldiers on deployment make that like within a week or two, through allowances. |
agaugust: No, we fought Boko infantry mixed with civilians inside a town.South Africa has the artillery and artillery engagement system in sub-saharan Africa. Including heavy mortars. |
Thiza: SOUTH AFRICANS CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS IS THE TRAINING OFFERED BY THE NIGERIAN MILITARY ACADEMY....HENCE IS NO SUPRISE THAT @AUGUSTUS CANNOT THINK,REASON AND MAKE A POSITIVE INPUTLmaoooooooooooooooooooooooo. Is that an "escape and evasion" tactic Nigerian soldiers use during combat? That's why some fell into holes during combat in Damboa. @Thiza the pics in that link had me in tears mate. |
andrewza: Does BH have tanks, GBADs, Arty, IFV, APC, extraOne of the officers had to hide during combat. |
agaugust: Google battle of Damboa, new world record !Damboa? You mean the disaster in Damboa? Lmaaooo. It proved nothing but the clear lack of command and control. Lack of infantry firepower: Still No AGLs,Portable ATGM,ISTAR,Mortars and more. |
agaugust: .Show us One Real War Nigeria fought Alone Since 15 Years Ago . #APC Nation of Cowards |
andrewza: Nope, gets your facts lined up strait. One guy in the ANC(SANDF never choose the end product, they just said what they will have and guess what the Gripen was the best choice) was offered some sweater by BAE not SAAB.The SANDF gives out operational requirements and tests equipment proposed. |
agaugust: ANC and SANDF leaders collected bribe from SAAB to buy Gripen jetsWe bought the right equipment. You expected us to buy second hand Mirage-2000 from France? Which were proposed under project Ukhozi? |
agaugust: The beginning of the endOh you forgot to finish your sentence, internet cafe closing? Well Mike..ZA is here let me finish it for you: 1. The beginning of the end of the Nigerian army to be seen as a strong, capable force. 2. The beginning of the end of the Nigerian propagan..da. |
agaugust: You want me to make you cry again? Have I not batter.ed you enough? You want me to make your teeth fall out?The only "crying" we know of on this thread,is that of the wives/girlfriends of Nigerian soldiers who won't let their husbands/boyfriends report for duty. ![]() |
Just so people. It is now a year since Nigeria's president claimed he needed four months to crash BH. His forces are taking a bad beating from the insurgents,on many occasions soldiers are out-gunned,out-ranged,out-classed by rag-tag rebels. No proper command and control over battlefield systems and soldiers. |
agaugust: You want me to make you cry again? Have I not batter.ed you enough? You want me to make your teeth fall out?We kindly ask augubugubu to produce facts and stop throwing threats and insul..ts around. |
agaugust: Show us the name and model of the Nigerian Police Electronic Jammer and the date/year it was manufactured....Don't make Mike..ZA to start asking you to provide pictorial evidence of systems like the Tucano,FH-77B etc. Nope,SA beautiful women don't eat bush meat and wouldn't wanna be seen around with 40 year old virg....in like your self.#Derailment. |
agaugust: BwqhahahaYou can also post images of your NNS Aradu and claim it isn't a fish tank. |
Why is BH getting stronger at the presence of the "strongest army in Africa". |
FighterPilot: As the saying goes that the poorest army is seen at its riffles. Have you all seen how warn out is Nigerian army's AK47. One cannot differentiate them from those of rebels. No DM rifles. When it comes to infantry weapons the SANDF is experienced and equipped its members well for the African battle field. |
The Nigerian military is a logistics nightmare. How do you resupply a force that operates "un-standardised" weapon systems in the front lines of a high intensity war? From different calibres, spares and system sizes. what happens? The military machine stops, logistics officers try sort out the mess. While a well oiled military machine moves quickly, highly mobile to strike with the deadliest efficiency Aka Mamba strike. Applying combat power where it is needed and effectly. |
The SANDF still remains Africa's most mobile force. From motorised infantry, mechanised, airborne and soon sea landing. A well balanced military unlike some whom will buy a Cobra today and buy a BigFoot MRAP tomorrow. In a real war full blown Nigeria would be crashed while the military's logistics chief is still trying to mobile, sort out ammo and spares and allow forces to move forward. |
patches689: FacingSo we(SA) are about to go on another shopping spree and the public still has fresh memories of the alleged corruption deals in the SDP. "How about we spread stories of the armed forces being in a bad state,to distract them"? Someone would say. A story to justify more funds for the SANDF without a public outcry? Who knows. |
patches689: so in a hypothetical war with nigeria we would end up ignoring 99% of the munitions they fire at usYep,not forgetting the Skyshield can also calculate the incoming RAM's(rocket, artillery and missile) POO(point of origin). Meaning artillery or precision smart bombs will within minutes struck the unit responsible for the attack. Or insert mortar teams with ground search radar to destroy them. |
agaugust: Startstreak SAM Definition :NOPE,the SANDF uses the LML version. |
patches689: Are they changing the Umkhonto's flight and performance characteristics for the mobile launcher system?Yes,the ground based Umkhonto will have a longer range and flight ceiling. With data links the air defence chief,if detected that SU-27/30 will be tracked,if it changes its flights to high altitudes to be engaged by GBADS,the Gripens will intercept it using real time info(via Link-ZA) from the GBADS sensors. It is a layered air defence system the last tier has a CRAM capability missiles, mortars, artillery will be destroyed mid air. Their POI(point of impact) will be calculated,so if the bomb or missile will hit an area unoccupied by friendly forces it will be ignored. |
agaugust: No, your GBADS is actually in phase 0.You're referring to the delivery of the Skyshield air defense systems. It is part of the GBADS not the GBADS. Systems will be delivered throughout the years until completion in 2017. Military contracts are executed in years. The contract includes C2 systems, upgrading the twin barrel MKV guns, delivery of radars, training and other stuff. Go cry to Beegeagles that Nigeria needs an equivalent system ![]() |
patches689: South Africa has NO air defense GBADS system as at today, plan is to start 2015 and complete 2017 approximately. Today you have nothingThe next phase of the GBADS entails the delivery of the ground based Umkhonto missile and RSR 320 missile guidance radar. All which will be linked,so a commander sitting somewhere with his compact C2 system will be able to have a clear view of the battlefield. Let's focus more on air defense, you can have your: 1. GBADS 2. Ground based radar 3. Mobile radar 4. Multi-role fighter jets. If any aircraft strays into the "no flight zone",the air defence chief will have options on whether to intercept with jets or shot down with the GBADS. "At the tips of his fingers". The GBADS will offer a 24/7 automatic air surveillance and visual ID of suspected systems in the zone, meaning civilian aircraft which strayed can be intercepted and escorted out. The minister of defence can see exactly what her/his commanders are seeing at the operations Centre and on the soldiers ground via portable systems. Completion of the GBADS project will give SA a modern air defense capability.

PrinxArthur1: Nigerian Roland missile approximately mach 2I won't bother replying to this one. |
