What flaws are you talking about. Beats doesn't hide flaws. Rapping without beats is equivalent to listening to a Rotimi and FFK arguing.

this mikuz is still clinging to the pre-historic years of battle rap. acapella is the new school - battling on beat is rubbish. the beats take out the clarity of the rapper & the effect of the bars get lost in the bass.

if you can't battle acapella, you are not ready...

Anyone who can rap on a beat can also do acapella. Wait make I do the acapella version of my verse against Jreyez. Its nothing.

It doesn't allow for enough lyricism? I don't think so. I can say whatever I feel like saying on a simple beat man so long as I end my rhyme at the 4th beat. Na you know wetin you dey yarn. Acapella brawls to me is like niggas quarelling at the top of their voices only difference being that they are rhyming.

You can pick out any of your text raps on FFR and do an acapella with it - but you can't do that if you want to rap it on a beat. You ll have to fine tune it so you don't fall out. In acapellas you only care about delivery and cadence but in audios you ll additionally have to count beats. Anyone who can rap on a beat can also do acapella but not everyone who can do acapella can rap on a beat. That's why its more difficult.

Battling without a beat is boring to me. It takes more skills to rap on a beat than acapella. Its more interesting abeg, you are the only one I've seen saying that.
