On what caused the resentment. I'm sure you all remembered when MTN network was down until the next day. Well, that day I and my daughter went to bed hungry. It was the first time in my 28 years I have ever gone to bed without eating dinner. I receive my pay in my dorm account in USD. So I have a BDC guy who I transfer dollar to whenever I need cash. I didn't know MTN will fumble that day because I splurged all my Naira earlier that day. Evening came, MTN was down. I couldn't get across to BDC and it was already too late to go to bank to withdraw. I saw this woman's bank balance that same evening but she lied she didn't have any cash. I didn't challenge her and she chose to allow everyone sleep hungry that night including our baby. Don't even ask about breast milk because the whole night, all I was hearing was her whining that she hasn't eaten and the baby shouldn't disturb her with cries for breastfeeding. The next morning by 7AM, I was able to get across to my BDC guy and exchanged the cash. That was the first time I have ever confronted her and I lambasted her that morning. Still it is the same. When I have to pay PHCN bills, she'll rather have us sleep in darkness if my bank has network issues than use her own account. Now the funny thing is, she will never go out without buying something on her way for me. So I'm a bit confused and resentful. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Just curious so I can stop worrying about it. ***NO FRONTPAGE PLEASE*** JUST HOPE TO GET SOME INPUT FROM EXPERIENCED MARRIED PEOPLE. Married for close to two years now with a baby. My wife hasn't worked since partly due to a lack of suitable opportunities and the fact that we are alone where we stay with neither family present. She is a graduate of a private university and I've had to sponsor a skillet training which has been completed so she can open a business. We intend to wait until the baby is one before she opens the business which is a few weeks from now. So I'm 100% responsible for everything. She is not on any specific allowance but I purposely allow inflated bills so she can get some change from it. She is also involved in weekly contributions which I pay 90% of the time. One thing I have noticed is that she will not help with any expenses around the house. Let say I'm cash-strapped for something we need to buy today, she'll pretend she doesn't have any cash and rather wait until I bring the money tomorrow than buy it for the family. She is currently doing so now and it is reinvigorating resentments I have for her. One event actually caused the resentment. I will share it in the next post. 4 Likes |

Religion / Re: Have You Ever Experienced Or Witnessed A Miracle Before? by Mille: 11:10am On Jul 25, 2021 |
Yes. I'll never forget it in my life. I went to the village a long time ago. While greeting someone in their living room, I saw and heard an idol speaking. The idol was hidden at the back of their entrance door. It provided a physical description of the lady that was coming, what she was coming for and what should be done for her. It didn't take up to 10 minutes, the lady arrived. She was exactly just as described. That experience changed me from an atheist to an agnostic. It was a firsthand experience that there is a spiritual world somewhere. 1 Like |

FreeStuffsNG: Brotherly. E pass fond memories o. Initially I was afraid cos of the gypsies but mehn, I hiked to many gypsy villages and was treated like a king. Over 4 years since I left and I still daydream about the food, people and beautiful women I met. It may not be as rich as the UK and Germany but there I met the nicest people in Europe. Poland is not on Romania's level. More job opportunities and better living conditions. But quite a lot of skinheads and not immigrant-friendly. 5 Likes |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Multiple Writers. 57k. 90 Articles. Job Has To Be Finished In A Month by Mille: 9:45pm On Jul 08, 2021 |
Jobola1: This is even more reason you should pay proper wages. That way you have a loyal, motivated and dedicated team to call up for future tasks instead of having to train every Tom, Dick and Harry who will be demotivated and surely leave at the middle of the project. With these wages, you will surely repeat the cycle of searching for workers, training them and they leave at the middle of the project. I repeat again, you will never find a proper writer who will finish your 90 tasks on this pay. And btw, I'm not painting you bad. Fair wages for fair work. Trust me, with the proper wages, you won't even have to say this in your ad. "However, u CANNOT back out midway as it cost quite a lot to get u subscribed to the writing aid". 1 Like |

Jobola1: Lol. You can't afford me. Imagine putting writing an article and zero brain work in the same sentence. Even if you're plagiarizing an article, you still need to use your brain. You said someone can write a 1000 word article in 60 minutes. Will it just be copy and paste? I'm curious as to how that is possible, especially when they have to type. 50 KOBO per word for an article. Mehn. (Even more depressing when you factor in electricity and internet charges). Yes, some will accept it but almost everyone will quit after a few articles or payments. I wonder what's the issue with paying employees/contractors livable wage. With that, you get proper dedication to your job instead of those who will accept cos they have no choice and eventually quit after two or three articles. I can bet my balls you'll never get a proper writer who will finish all 90 required articles. 1 Like |

SuomyNona: Thank you for the replies. Cc; LFJ11 I will ask for the document from them. I have a 15/20 French GPA. The problem with French grades is the lack of uniformity in conversion across universities worldwide. I have also tried scholaro and it is more suited with the US market. It's conversion is different in Canada. For example, like most US universities, Scholaro grades 14 upwards as an A, an A in McGill is 16 upwards. In Australia, an A is 15 upwards. In Scholaro, a 13/20 is 3.0. The same 13 is a B+ (3.3) at McGill while for university of Alberta, it is their minimum grade which I take to be a 3.0. The problem is Alberta only provided the minimum grading for France. I guess I won't know until I apply. SuomyNona: Thank you for bringing this up. I need to have this confirmed cos if they decide to use my undergrad, I'm royally bleeped. Local man was not serious during undergraduate days. Last 4 undergrad GPA are 4.6, 2.9, 4.56, 3.08. The discrepancy is enough for them to bin my application. |

Please, I will appreciate answers. Cc LFJ11 I have a masters from France and intend to apply for a PhD. But due to lack of some certain course prerequisites, my supervisor and the program cordinator adviced I apply for their masters which will be also be fully funded and then transfer to a PhD. Will I have issues with getting a visa for a second masters given that I intend to go with my wife and daughter? Also is it okay if I ask the graduate coordinator to provide me with a written letter stating that I lacked certain course requirements? Another problem is I require a 3.7 to be successful. How is the last two years average calculated for a masters degree holder. Will it be a course by course evaluation or will be masters degree be evaluated as a whole. The graduate school at University of Alberta is refusing to give information on GPA conversion until I apply. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is This USA Conference Invitation Genuine? by Mille: 12:51pm On Jun 27, 2021 |
Sophisticated scam. RED FLAG 1. The said conference will be in Dallas while the said hotel accomodation will be in Houston. The cities are at least 3 hours apart. 2. Why will a conference even pay for your visa and flight fees? It's normally the other way round. 3. The said hotel has no visible online presence, apart from it's website which I believe was created for the sole purpose of scamming. No reviews or nothing. Big red flag for an hotel said to host conference delegates. 4. The said hotel is missing on google map. The said address of the hotel is actually a residential street. 5. Your visa documents will be processed here in the United States and the approval letter of your visa will be sent to the U.S Embassy in your country for the collection of your visa. . This is the biggest red flag of all. 269 Likes 16 Shares |

KingZaddy: My brother, I witnessed something like this back then. Went to visit a female Nigerian friend/colleague. It was not the first time but it was the first her boyfriend abi na fiancee will be there. We had about four other Nigerians there. After babe served us confirm local food, boyfriend was the first to finish eating. Man dropped plate in the sink and wanted to take water from the fridge when the last shouted at him in our presence to "Wash those plates". We were in our 20s and this man is late 30s and above. I was in a dilemma that day. Many things were running through my mind like 'Do I finish my food and go and wash my plates jeje before person come embarrass me. Last last, it was the boyfriend that washed all the plates. FYI, this happened in Germany. And btw, the lady was on a long stay visa like us, not a PR or Citizen. So the idea of the man totally leeching off her for papers is not it. 44 Likes 2 Shares |
