I also live in Germany. Many of you guys came here with false informations. There are Nigerians doing good in Germany and not all of them are doing Unskilled Labour..What do you expect in a country that you cannot speak and write their Language nor have some of their culture.Everybody knows that Germany is still a little bit conservative like Scandinavia countries and that Nigerian degrees aren't valuable.Hence many of the guys doing masters here would always have problem. The few ones that got lucky after doing Masters here were good at software developing or programming. There some courses that aren't marketable in Germany. There are still Opportunities for those ones that are prepared and ready to grab them.

For the ones that migrated out of Nigeria with wrong impression about Abroad,You will always see them lamenting.Migration and integrating yourself into another Man society is not a day job.You should be ready to work your ass off.According to Eu labour law,Third world Nationals should always be employers last option. If you as a Third world citizen knows this fact,Then you should be ready to work harder so that you can find into competition

There are other opportunities in the EU, just that your residence permit status determine how you gonna grab those opportunities. Each country have law and you shouldn't expect the law to favour you more than their own citizen!!

What does not work for Mr A might work for Mr B,You guys should stop spreading false news !! If anyone of you want to live large, Go back home, break a bank and live large..Oyinbo designed their country for comfort and not for show off.

Perhaps you could point out the wrong statements in the whole thread. You started as if we made false statements yet subconsciously agreed with whatever we are saying.

Migrate to where. Italians don't even need a visa to leave their country to any other developed nation.

So a Nigerian moving to Ghana ie not Migration or what? Someone needs to define migration to you. Definitely not me.

It's understandable now when you say you don't see smart and beautiful Nigerian women. Coulomb's law states that "Like charges attract, and unlike charges repel".

Europe is not for people like you honestly, to live comfortably in Europe you have to be financially responsible, buying a car is not a necessity when you have good transport network system, renting 3 bedroom flat as a single person is just waste of money.

Car and bigger accommodation are necessary when you are married with kids

You are right. It is financially irresponsible as a single person.

The Nigerians there should all come back to Nigeria then since Nigeria is better than Italy. Any Nigerian abroad who is advising a fellow Nigerian or African to remain in Africa is more wicked than the devil. Op even the politicians in Nigeria all have foreign passports. They give birth to their kids abroad and yet they tell the commoners to believe in Nigeria. Believe in what. You are bright and young leave ASAP. I finished school and no job in this shithole called Nigeria. To run a business or raise funding in this hellhole is as hard as rocks yet I kept on working and believing in the continent. We have suffered so much that we see abnormal as normal. Op flee if you can flee.

Please don't pour your frustrations on me. I'm not responsible for whatever challenges you are facing. We all have ours. Direct your anger to the politicians who have the foreign passport you are screaming about.

My advice is to the Op. May I remind you that the Op is not searching for a job nor seeking funding for a business. He is earning 500k in a good organization. Telling him to seek advice from those who have PROPER EXPERIENCES and knowledge about the life and work situation is not and should not be a crime. He is not migrating to the USA to go and feed on good roads, fast trains or drink the blue sea.

At least if he should seek one, not from those suffering from inferiority complex.

"I used to think it was impossible for women to be interesting and funny but white women proved me so wrong". says a lot about you, your lifestyles and the people you surround yourself with.

Not only is that comment an insult to my mother and the thousands of Beautiful and Intelligent Nigerian women I have studied, worked and interacted with, it is an insult to the many black people who have fought and sacrificed their lives to correct this kind of stupid notion that is now coming from a supposed black man.

I mean, of all women in the world, Italian women. If they were well read and know absolutely everything, they will first of all know that Africa is a continent and not a country.

I agree with everything you have said, though there are still Nigerians with even more than 3 bedroom and a car, wink
Some have even more than 1 house and car cool cool

The minority must have been so small for me not to have met any smiley

I'm happy to. That's if you are have some knowledge or interest in Agri-food production and processing.

Indeed, you are talking from experience. I appreciate your advise. I think I can learn a lot from you.

What experience are you talking about? The experience of chineji, someone who spent a few days in Italy on vacation, not even someone who studied, worked or stay longer in the country to understand the real experience. Someone who has experienced and with no knowledge of neither the living or working conditions.

I hope Mr chineji has been to Milan lampugnano to see the hundreds of Africans who are looking to leave Italy in droves due to lack of job opportunities. I hope he has been to Parma to see how 12 Nigerians are cramped in 2 bedroom apartments. I hope he also saw well educated Nigerians who are sweeping the streets of Italy. And I do hope he knows there are as many Italians migrating to Germany for better opportunities.

So I think you need those with more experience that that. Well, unless you are going to the USA or Canada to go and admire the blue sea, US & Canadian women, the good roads or the fast trains.

Those wey know no, no fit know

Though I won't advise you to come back to Nigeria yet, next election is between Buhari and Atiku (APC and PDP), to me there is little or no difference. At least in Ger,many you don't have NEPA and Security problem cheesy

And don't lose hope, structure your CV and cover letter well, consult some career agencies and services, you could be on your way to get something good and professional, especially if you're fluent in German, and german immigration has an automatic stayback option for certain graduates, make use of that opportunity first, see how it goes, don't rush and come back to Nigeria, Unless you are 95% confident in getting something you desire

Cheers bro

Buhari and Atiku can burn for all I care. The reason I am waiting is just to see if there will be any brouhaha after the elections.

I'm only bothered about Security. Na to just find solar take console myself. Even if na 1.5KVA.

The thousands wey stay back for Germany. How are they faring. Most are into low-level Logistics jobs like Amazon or running from one temp agency to another. In all my sojourn in Europe, I have never met a Nigerian who could comfortably afford to rent a 3 bedroom with a car. Of what purpose is migration if I cannot live a better quality of life than the one I live back home.

Bros, I am not coming to search for job o. The one thing I am thankful of, is that Europe has exposed me to the many opportunities in Nigeria that I couldn't see before.

God bless you for this piece, Mcowubaba
. Claremont, I doubt you understand the kind of racism that goes on in the professional sphere in Europe. We had this argument with a colleague also. I applied for internship positions with my CV (same format, just different names, emails and phone numbers). I received 29 rejections in a space of 4 days while all 30 scheduled an interview with the one with the German name.

I am in Germany and it is pretty much the same. Thousands of Africans here even with German Masters & PhDs working low level cleaning and physical logistics jobs. I mean, seeing those who have been settled here for more than 20-30 years looking so haggardly is enough to discourage my continued residence in Europe.

I'm just waiting for the 2019 elections to be over and to receive my degree. Heaven knows I won't be here come June 2019.

In Nigeria of today, every household should be encouraged to engage in one form of agriculture or the other. I am a practicing catfish farmer, I know female farmers who are engaged in catfish table size marketing, catfish rearing, and even catfish fingerlings production. I encourage female farmers to keep the flag flying. Whatever a man can do, a woman can do it better (with determination).

If you're in Lagos and environs interested in learning catfish rearing, I can mentor you, with free 50 high quality post fingerlings, for hands on training, leading to a successful catfish (table size) production.
Contact : 0802-334-0270 call/whatsapp.

I am not in Lagos and I am not interested in mentoring. I just need some information about catfish farming.

I hope I can message you for free. smiley

dude can a guy who has resident permit in France use that visa to study in Belgium (probably leave in Belgium while studying)?

Not possible.

Schenghen visa only allows you to travel, partake in short courses or conferences but it does not allow you to study, work or partake in any economic activities in another country other than which it was given.

I had to apply for a separate student visa when going to France, despite having a valid German resident permit.

That's surprising since most French people understand or speak English.

Believe me, it will be more surprising when you get there and see for yourself. Even if some can speak, they will not attempt to. Most blacks that are in France DO NOT also speak English.
Education / Re: Top5 Cheapest Countries For International Students To Study Abroad by Mille: 9:53am On Sep 04, 2018
Whoever wrote this article is high on cheap weed. I have studied in both France and Germany and I will point out facts.

- Grand Ecole is not the same as a university. In fact, they are levels apart (just like comparing a college of education to Unilag). A grand ecole is more elite, prestigious and renowned than a university in France. They are regarded as the Harvard of France, so it shouldn't surprise you that over 80% of people in top managerial positions are graduates of Grand Ecoles.

- Did I read wrong or did this article just say Grand Ecole is free in France? Even the normal polytechnic and universities are not free talk more of a Grand Ecole. Grand Ecole's can have tuition up to €50,000 per year. While normal universities are much cheaper (from €600 per semester), the cost of living in France is something else. In my opinion, it is second only to Switzerland when talking about the most expensive countries in Europe.

- Some parts of Germany are tuition free but most states have introduced tuition. Besides that, you need to pay a semester fee for every semester as well as deposit about 4M in a German blocked account. I wouldn't call that cheap. You are better off going to countries like Poland, Ukraine and Turkey even with a paid tuition.

Please if you ever want to study in France, make sure you speak French to an understandable level. I speak French up to level A2 before going and I must confess my life was still a living hell. The language barrier in France can make you commit suicide (not an exaggeration) despite the fact that I was in the second biggest city in France. It is almost the same in Germany but still a lot better than France.

Politics / Re: Boko Haram Kill 30 Nigerian Soldiers by Mille: 5:58pm On Sep 01, 2018
When will Yoruba soldiers in the Nigerian military decide to stop risking their lives for a worthless fight.

You heard the Emir of Kano today (Sanusi Lamido). The Northern Elites consider you as colonizers and are hell bent on allowing only their 500 year old Almajiri Islamic Education.

According to Emir Sanusi, Northern Muslims want real independence in the practice of their Almajiri education and these people will keep funding this independence struggle through Boko Haram who are against Western Education as well as using their Northern brothers to sabotage whatever mission of the Nigerian Military while using Southern soldiers as Pawns.

Politics / Boko Haram Kill 30 Nigerian Soldiers by Mille: 5:57pm On Sep 01, 2018

At least 30 Nigerian soldiers have been killed in a gun battle with Boko Haram fighters who overran a military base in the country's northeast, according to military sources.

Scores of fighters in trucks stormed the base at Zari village in Borno state late on Thursday and briefly captured it after intense fighting, two sources told AFP news agency on Saturday.

"They came in large numbers in trucks and carrying heavy weapons and engaged soldiers in a battle that lasted for an hour," a military officer said.

"They overwhelmed the troops who were forced to temporarily withdraw before reinforcements arrived," said the officer who asked not to be named because he was not authorised to speak.

Boko Haram took weapons and military equipment before they were pushed out of the base by troops with aerial support, said a second military source who gave a similar death toll.

"The terrorists also suffered heavy casualty from the bombardment," one of the military officers said.
Boko Haram are thought to have attacked the base from the nearby Garunda village, where 17 troops were killed and 14 wounded in an attack on another military base last month, the sources said.

Military response

In a statement late on Friday, the Nigerian military confirmed soldiers fought Boko Haram "insurgents ... on rampage to loot the community and extort money from villagers".

"Troops ... have successfully routed Boko Haram insurgents in an encounter that ensued yesterday evening at Zari village," the military said in the statement.

It did not speak of military casualties and the raid on the base but maintained "several Boko Haram fighters and weapons" were destroyed in the fight.

The Nigerian army has on several occasions disputed reports on losses to Boko Haram and has in some cases played them down.

Boko Haram has waged an armed campaign in northeast Nigeria for years. The fighting has left more than 20,000 people dead and displaced over two million since 2009.

In recent months, the armed group has intensified attacks on military targets in recent months.
The assaults appear to undermine repeated claims by the Nigerian military that Boko Haram had been defeated.

On July 14, Boko Haram fighters overran a military base in Jilli village, in neighbouring Yobe state when dozens of troops were said to be been killed, wounded or missing. Soldiers and civilians have also been targeted in separate attacks in neighbouring Chad and Niger.

Gestational age of pregnancy is usually calculated from last menstrual period and not day of conception .. which would add a few weeks to the actual date the seed was sown cool

That being said, the chances of conception happening on the same week of marriage is very slim.

So its either; your wife is extremely fertile and took in immediately
Or

Yes, you are right. I'm no medical doctor and he might be the owner but it's all doubtful. Ovulation is on average usually on the 14th day (+ or - 2days), equals to two weeks. And I think the Op could help himself if he could recollect when his bride had the first menstrual period in their marriage.

BTW, Mr Quintuple , have you heard about Prenatal DNA. Please do so if you are doubtful

make sure you don't turn yourself to houseboy catering for all her needs during pregnancy only to find out the kid aint yours. Nigerian women of nowadays, fear dem.

Not just Nigerian women but women in general. With what I have seen, heard, as well as personal experience, I would be damned if I don't conduct DNA tests before and after the birth of a baby projected to be mine.

Oh, and BTW, a Federal appointment is not the same as a private appointment. This means the man who helped him get the job cannot withdraw his appointment.
