Better to leave it till a decision is made. Shadybeauty: |
If it's a visa that allows you to live and work in the UK, yes but if it is a visit visa, no. MendeZ: |
This is exclusive of your POF. The payslips are to prove that you received pay for that period + plus the account statement for that period showing the payment into your account. Fadd2: |
Your employment letter and payslips (if they match your bank statement for that period). Don't forget to include their contact details too. Fadd2: |
1. No. 2. No. If required, you'll be asked for it so make sure that you've got evidence/explanation just in case. LongSword: |
Any Govt correspondence e.g. tax letters or any letter/document with yiur name on it thats sent to you by a governmentinstitution/organisation. PS: just seen that Duchess90 provided an extensive explanation. Focus99: |
As far as I know based on the applications I was privy to, they don't except they just started it. Your school will need to update the UKVI on the completion of your studies (mostly in cases where the degree hasn't been formally conferred) but if you have your degree certificate/transcript, that's as good as the school informing UKVI. You'll need to get on UKVI website by yourself to apply (within 28 days of the student visa Expiration) because it is not the school's duty to provide you with the application link. wonlasewonimi: |
No but this might be requested so better for him to have this ready just in case. What's left on his visa is more than 9 months so better to have all 9 months' worth in your account. Check the 1st page for documents. Updated costs here: https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/family-members (visa fees and application link) Calculate IHS Surcharge here: https://www.immigration-health-surcharge.service.gov.uk/checker/type The above costs are minus TB test (around N57,800.) costs, flight costs and TLS value added service cost. midey93: |
You were talking about a change and I stated "not necessarily" since the OP only needs to hop on at LHR (not Gatwick and no change needed) and get off at Reading. It's a direct journey from the pickup point. I'm not arguing the partnership or the carrier because it doesn't matter who's fulfilling the service. All the OP needs to do is book with National Express, follow the instructions on the ticket/at the airport and be at the pickup point at the required time. Walexwal: |
Not necessarily. The journey is from LHR T2. See attached screenshot Cc: honeyspeak1 Walexwal:

More of visit visas not study visas. ObaOfEsan: |
Use your school's address. Marioboyz: |
What's your entry port? And your destination (last stop - Post code area; no need to be exact for privacy reasons)? Have you tried the coach: https://www.nationalexpress.com/en Should cost you about £23 from Heathrow T2-3 to Reading Station from where you should be able to get a bus to your final destination. She can't work on a visit visa. If she does get a job, she will have to leave the UK and apply for a work visa from her home country. gr8femfred: |
No disadvantage. You can either apply together or separately. The only thing you need to watch out for will be your finances. Keep them in order to avoid suspicions of recycled funds. Fraih: |
The main issue that I see here will be proving that your relationship is genuine and subsisting. You will need to include every document to prove this; this includes but not limited to marriage certificate, joint accounts if you have any, joint investments, money transfers for upkeep from either or both of you (evidence in your bank statements), flight and trip details of visit to each other, pictures, evidence of communication (calls, chats e.t.c.), children's birth certificates if any. The guy has to pull his weight. I might be wrong but the guy seems to be using her and would eventually file for a divorce after attaining ILR. If not, he would have addressed his wife's concerns instead of readily agreeing to separate or divorce. He's more worried about being deported than building a sustainable relationship with his wife. If he gets a sponsored job now, it seems he won't bother with the marriage which says a lot about his commitment towards the marriage and the current situation of things. It's good though that this is happening now and not after ILR has been procured because that would make the woman feel worse and more used than she might feel now. It is normal for a man/woman to feel frustrated when he/she has to handle things or live like he/she's single when they are not. The lady probably expects her husband to pull his weight and the husband needs to understand where his wife is coming from and her fears, dreams and wants. From a 30k job, he has no excuse re job search because whatever he get or saves after bills will be more than the 30k he earned in Nigeria - this is assuming that he doesn't supprot financially. He should pull his weight and apply for as many jobs as possible as a possible start point and contribute to the household financially, emotionally, physically and in any way possible. No man/woman will be happy to bring their partner to the UK where they can work together to make their lives better and she/he acts like she/he's doing her a favour by being here. I suspect that the woman must have forked out the cost of his application and flight to the UK and the stress of everything is getting to her. This situation can be difficult to bear with am unsupportive partner. It's good that they don't have kids yet so no ties that will make them constantly be in each other's faces if things go south as it looks like it will. In my opinion, the woman is making the right decision because it seems that the man bidded his time and played along just to be in the UK. If he wants to save his marriage, it's up to him to address the issues and support his wife but if not, he should leave her to get on with her life, biko. What you can do though is speak to your friend, encourage him to analyse the situation to evaluate his faults and what he can do better and thereafter, have a honest discussion with his wife. This might not change anything but it might be just the push they need to sort and talk things through. It might also help the wife to accept that nothing she could have done would save the marriage and she won't have to start blaming herself for the failure of the marriage thinking that if she had triple-bent over that things might have changed. Better a failed marriage than a frustrating marriage that leads one to murder or any form of abuse. Thastie: |
If it hasn't changed, short stay visa is what you need since the transit between 2 EU countries is seen as domestic even when part of an international itinerary. Adults: €80 (equivalent to NGN 39,790.55)*. Children between the ages of six and twelve: €40 (equivalent to NGN 19,895.27)*. Yea, he is very good. From Lagos to London to anywhere you need him, he's gon show up and deliver. Solumtoya: |
Address to your local BHC not that it makes any difference which BHC you address it to. ASOT23: |
His visa will be revoked and he will be given about 2 months to switch to another visa or leave the UK. He's at risk of incarceration and deportation. Thastie: |
If you buy the ones from Morrisons, watch the water that goes in as the rice tends to get soggy if you dont watch the water unlike Setara. barnaby04: |
If you have joint accounts or individual accounts showing same address for you, upload them. Also your driving licences, NIN card or voters' card showing same address for both of you count as evidence. Any letters from your doctor, workplace, children's school (addressed to both of you - names and address) will also help. Include tenancy agreement(s) with both your names or property documents with same. They just want to be sure that it's not an arranged marriage solely for immigration reasons. chukgol: |
1. 28 calendar days. This includes weekends. 2. May 25. If the 1st day of your count was 27th April, your 28th day will be 24th of May so you can print from the 25th of May. 3. Better to submit form the 29th or 30th day to avoid count errors. If you submit on the 28th day, it means that you've held your funds for only 27 days before submitting and that has a high chance of a refusal except the ECO requests for an updated statement to see that the monaley was and still is in your account. No but they'd need to be assessed by a doctor at the test centre. The cost is usually lower than for an adult. RetiredAdult: |
Submit your documents + your marriage certificate. It's not compulsory to change your name to your husband's after marriage and the UKVI understands that as It's normal in the UK. What UKVI needs to know is that your marriage is genuine. You can prove this with your marriage certificate, pictures, proof of you living together since you got married (bills, GP letters, Govt letters e.t.c.), joint account & joint investments with both your names and any other docs that can prove that your marriage is real. imolemiimole: |

The answer to the above questions and more that i haven't asked should help you hold your own in the interview. Shayboy: |
Dot your Is and cross your Ts. Ensure that your documents are as they should be, declare previous refusals and ensure that your financial documents are clear and held in the manner specified by UKVI. If you have specific questions, ask and someone will answer you. No one can tell you what your chances are but you stand a high chance of receiving your visa if you follow UKVI guidelines re the application process. Note that sometimes, mistakes are made by UKVI even when you've done all that you need to do and in situation, you can apply for an admin review to address the error. mary042: |
