Let the person use DHL except you're absolutely sure that the person you're taking to is the one whose name appears on the DL - also have proof that that's the case so you don't get charged for ID theft or something else. YoungG4life: 1 Like |

IHS will not be refunded if a visa is refunded and you don't use it to travel even if UKVI caused the day that made the visa unusable. You'll need to pay IHS and visa fees again for your next application - basically rinse and repeat the whole process. yungfritzzleDee: |

Do you want permanence or flexibility? Do you look forward to moving to a new role after 12 months or would you like to have some stability until you decide that you need a change? Which experience do you reckon will leave you more satisfied in terms of the JD? Which one do you see leading toward your planned career aspirations? What benefits do both companies offer aside pay? Trainings, work in different areas/subsidiaries etc. Ultimately, you need to do a SWOT analysis of both offers and go for the one that benefits you more. hyzich: 1 Like |

This is a dicey situation. Please speak to your kids about the implications of made-up tales on the family unit - depending on the learning needs of your daughter, find a way to communicate this. It is your word against the kids and if they persist with their statements, you might end up having a drawn-out battle which might or might not end up with the children in care. What kind of shows/movies do they watch on TV? sometimes, the contents of these shows are something else and not all kids are able to separate fiction from real life. I once had the same issue with my lil one years ago but it was just to friends and a good talk reset the young 'un back to default settings. PS: I don't know what the communication or disciplinary actions are in your home but if you can find a way to correct them outside of the hard-stanced Naija way, it might help. That doesn't mean that you should keep mute while your children are getting "rotten". Also, get expert advice biko because children can sometimes keep up these tales and when they recant, it might be said that they were threatened into doing so. Odedenshi1: 2 Likes |

IHS is only refunded if the visa isn't granted; once it's granted, it won't be refunded even if you don't travel with the visa. If AR overturns the refusal, you can't use if for September. You'll need to rinse and repeat the whole process which includes POF for at least 28 days before your online submission. Tboy243: |

A successful AR means that they can easily issue you a new CAS for another entry if your course's latest date of arrival passes before the successful AR. What this means is that if your school doesn't extend your latest date of arrival and your AR is successful, it is easier to get another CAS to apply for the session you defer to since they know that you have a high chance of being granted the 2nd time around. Downside is that you'll need to pay your visa + IHS fees all over again. Tboy243: |

To change the name on her passport in the UK, she needs her old passport, NIN with the new name she wants to change to, and a letter from you the husband about the change of name. Newspaper publication not needed. For bank name changes, BRP/Passport in the new name and marriage certificate are okay; for all other name change purposes, BRP/Passport, Marriage certificate, and an utility bill in your name will usually suffice. No need to change if you don't really want to though. Sinchester: 1 Like 2 Shares |

How and why did the school have issues with it? Did she flag it with them when she noticed it? Why did she continue using the name during her school process knowing fully well that it isn't the name on her passport and documents? As it stands, she will have to speak to the school and show evidence that they made the mistake and didn't correct it when it was raised. Ibodlauren01: |

1. If you print, you have 31 days from print date to submit your application - the funds must have spent at least 28 days in your account before print date. If not used within 31 days from print date, you won't be able to use it. Alternatively, you can submit your application, print your statement and count 28 days prior to your application - this means that the funds must have been in your account at least 28 days before application submission. 2. Usually close to the black market rate because banks will deduct transaction charges and all banks end up using different rates. Mcleo007: |

All you need to do is to 1. visit the link - https://www.gov.uk/apply-immigration-health-surcharge-refund 2. Fill out the required information. 3. Input NI number instead of BRP number 4. Provide the payslips for that period that you're claming for. 5. Wait for a response on the success of your application. If successful, it will be refunded to the card/account from which the payment was taken. Note: As long as she worked in healthcare for the period for which she claims and has corresponding payslips, she should be refunded. skealoo: 8 Likes |

Something similar happened to someone I know few months ago. HR was adamant that the person didn't have a valid visa even though all necessary documents and guidance were sent to HR to show that the person made an in-time application. The company assumed that since they didn't give te person COS that the person was in the wrong whereas the person was on a non-point-based visa. HR said that they had to remove the person from their payroll even though the company was in the wrong. There was a compliance/disciplinary meeting called and the company still went ahead with the payroll scrub. Long story short, the company finally carried out checks which came back after about 4 weeks and they had to pay the person for all the time that "they" weren't allowed to work. No apologies were offered probably due to the fact that they didn't want to admit that they were wrong. The person still works with the company but planning an exit already. Note: this was an employee that had already worked 5 straight years with the organisation and who shouldn't have been treated so unfairly. My advice - get all the govt guidelines and every necessary document to them to run their checks. Each check is valid for 6 months and must be carried out every 6 months until the visa is issued or refused. If you're part of a union, get your union rep to advise you and attend the meeting with you. If not, you can get a well-versed immigration lawyer to go with you. Try to be as professional as possible in all your communications with the company to ensure that the error is cleared up and that no bridges are burnt. Worst case scenario, you can always go to the employment tribunal to get compensation for the unfair dismissal if they go ahead with their threat of dismissal. Think about this hard and long to be sure that you want to toe this path or you just wanna leave without any drama in the hopes that your application will be decided soon and you get another job - I say this because many people would rather not toe this line due to their personal reservations. rollykotex: 4 Likes |

A quick check on their page will give you the payment information that you need. https://www1.chester.ac.uk/international/fees-scholarships-and-finance/how-pay No one can tell you the timeframe of responses except the school as it is usually dependant on the number of applications received and a combination of several other internal factors. freshbillz15: |

With UKVI, It is sometimes a waiting game and their delays have cost many people their registration deadlines. You can try to contact them again but it is not a sure-tested way of quickening the process. ElMejor10: |

Yes but since your visa was issued, the process should be easier this time as long as you dot your Is and cross your Ts. Based on similar situations that I've seen, decisions are usually faster the 2nd time around. But make sure that you follow up with your school if you hear nothing from them on the day that they are to start issuing CAS. As long as your TB cert isn't expired by the time you apply, you don't need to do another one unless it is requested by the ECO. Horlawale32: |
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by mimilyrics: 3:49pm On Jan 31, 2023 |
This is wrong. Horlawale32 You will need to pay again. Even if not using your visa is caused by UKVI delays in making decision, your IHS won't be refunded. It will be refunded if your application was refused and a visa isn't issued but your case isn't so. Now you'll need to speak to your school about deferring, get a new CAS when they start issuing it, Undergo a new TB test if the current one is expired, make your application, pay your visa and ihs fees, attend your biometrics appointment and wait for a decision. You should be the one to check that you have the right information before saying that the information given is false. Once an application results in a visa being granted, IHS won't be refunded even if the visa isn't used. Don't be in a rush to discredit information by other people when you haven't even found out if it is actually correct. In your words, "if you are not sure about a situation, ignore than give false information". IFSHR: |

Your school will let you know if you can defer or have to reapply. You'll need to reapply for another visa if you defer or reapply. Yes, you will pay IHS and visa fees again. You will also need to show that you've had the required funds in your account for at least 28 days before your online submission and payment. Basically, you'll rinse and repeat the same process from start to finish again - with the exception of your TB test if it hasn't expired before then. Horlawale32: |
