University of Sheffield accepts 2.2 if applicant can prove he/she has a lot of relevant work experience (paid or voluntary). Some schools do accept if the person has relevant postgraduate studies.

There is no sin in not enabling dead beat parenting. So you think it is okay to do away with parental responsibilities/obligations over a child and be rewarded with "Honour thy father and Mother"?

Both parents are yet to acknowledge that they did wrong, dismissing the wrong they did to their child. No mea culpa but feel entitled to assistance from a son they deliberately abandoned to experience a traumatic childhood.

This is not just about forgiving or not but are you capable of accommodating their toxicity? Uninvolved parenting tends to have adverse effect on an individual up to adulthood as most tend to have difficulties forming attachments.

Reality is that, we tend to live in denial that a 5 year old can't be having suicidal ideations. The child is certainly depressed and it is very important to immediately let the parents (if father is in the picture) know and advise them to promptly seek the professional help of a child psychologist (if possible, one that also has certification in play therapy).

Cutting of self, kind of create a sense of having control over emotional pain for some people who are living with some forms of mental health issues though it is self-harming but makes them "feel good" for the meantime as it makes them feel numbed to their emotional pain. Cutting of self is an indication of an underlying mental health issue and an unhealthy coping skill.

OP, I will encourage you to share what you are going through with your father though he may not be understanding but you need his support.

You need to see a psychotherapist and from your first session, if there is an indication of clinical depression then there is need for referral to a psychiatrist who would diagnose and prescribe medication. Whether there is need for medication or not, make sure you are engaged in talk therapy sessions.

Please make sure you on antiretroviral medication and highly adhere to it
