In all, anyone who feel abused by another irrespective of relationship has a right to speak out more especially where the family has proven to repress the degrading action(s) or the police has diminished the severity of the issue presented

I never believe one sided stories,so the man's side must be heard. The daughter's story of being beaten holds no water to me. Nigerian Parents correct and discipline their wards all the time. I'm more worried about the spousal abuse.


SM most times makes things worse. If she can't get extended families/religious bodies to mediate,then SM can at least save the wife from abuse. Dont know if the dad would forgive such public shaming though. I won't be surprised if he stops paying her fees or something.

If a human being feels it okay to inflict physical and emotional pain on another, why should such a demented mind be shielded from public shaming?

There is nothing like an African man here, before the law the man is now a criminal for defiling a minor. He would be prosecuted and would then be cooling off in prison for some years to come. He nor his family will have no right over that child when born.

Threatening citizens makes them feel high.

I can deduce that domestic violence is normalized in that family. The now adult children grew up seeing their mother and themselves being repressed through beatings, reason as adults they didn't develop the capacity to challenge their violent father. How can 2 grown up sons continue to condone their father's violent nature because sons are more likely to challenge their father's abuse. There are things going in that family which outsiders don't know.

I work in a health facility and no Dr would write on such paper to reflect billing. It is ONLY the finance and account department of OAUTHC that is mandated to generate the official invoice.
