It is transactional, the married man feels there is nothing wrong in being adulterous as variety is the spice of life and willing to pay for the extra marital affair even at the expense of his wife and children, while the lady he cheats with, is there for the money. |

BigDick70inch: Well I everythin I typed on here is from experience bro..
Stay in Abule egba side of Lagos..
A divorce issue once happened to one of relatives sometimes ago..infact cousin to be precise..
Parent got separated through divorce..but then the kids were in custody of their dad while they were granted the chance to spend vacations with their mum..
Believe me bro.. Those kids really suffered ehn..the man re-married and left the kids to the new wife..cos he was always busy with work..
So the woman enough opportunity to maltreat the kids..
Nigeria woman..cant just seem to treat kid not birthed by them nicely..
Well..i dont know if the had changed now tho.. I recall back in one of my undergraduate courses-Marriage and Family Therapy, where the issue of women maltreating children from their husband's previous marriage/relationship was analyzed and how the fathers of these kids opt to become silent witness of the abuse in exchange for the external validation. They are rarely very vocal about the abuse as he does not want the society to perceive him weak in protecting his children against the wickedness of the woman who he has made the society to believe is better than his ex-wife likewise the shame of not getting it right the second time, so these step-mothers cash in on these irrational beliefs which serves as an enabler and these kids suffer for this. |

majesterial: Yes o. But you can always confirm by going to the said department to confirm the doctor whose name and signature is on it. So the pharmacy would send someone to the hospital to confirm........am learning! |

E suppose support am na. Businessman wey no fit show you way for im business, always running to the Red Sea where he is hiding from other rogue businessmen. How can he see anything wrong in this? You don't need to hear or see what goes on in therapy sessions! Your job is to listen to what is not being said. I brought up the issue of therapy and he said he never had one and does not need it! |

majesterial: In Nigeria or in the US? The signature is there, and the name of hospital and department is there. So you mean anyone can use a Microsoft package to design a replica of the prescription note, print it out and have it filled it out with a pen and go present it at a Pharmacy and it is sold to him or her? |

BigDick70inch: My Oga..
Men like dat wont let the kids be in custody of their estranged wife even after separation/divorce..
Infact..they had rather allow the kids suffer with them than releasing them to the wife..
Except..the kids are old enough to decide who they want to be with in court..
Maybe..the court might grant the mum the chance to check on once in while..while they remain with their father.. As far it is Lagos state, it is not about the nan letting the ex-wife having custody or checking on the kids once in a while at his discretion. Attached is a scenario I posted in August

BigDick70inch: Better u don't even think of divorce..
Cos..while u r gone he will marry another woman..
Then your kids automatic become slaves or housemaids in their father's house.. If separation and eventual divorce will be of the best interest to her and their kids, then that should be it. The man should be free to remarry while she has custody of the 2 kids and that shouldn't stop the man to be actively involved in his children' lives while they co-parent. The belief that once the man remarries, the kids would automatically live with him and their step-mother is false because the family court favours biological mothers unless the man can proof beyond reasonable doubt that the children would be at risk living with their biological mother. |

JONNYSPUTE: ....The truth of this matter is that this guy is not sick. He has a relative who is a psychiatric patient and has been taking advantage of that to scam people. From the way he writes so coherently and his non challant attitude towards showing remorse,it is easy to findout. People, hear me,this guy is not sick but has a psychiatric patient he is using to scam others. Be wise. If one can use information gotten from a family member or a friend who is undergoing psychiatric care to make money then that person also is mentally sick to go to that length and needs to be locked up in the prison section of the psychiatric hospital (if Nigeria has such) |

majesterial: I never reached that point. My issues cannot be dealt with by talking. All of my symptoms that have reversed completely disappeared when I used high doses of said drugs. I research drug interactions, lethal doses, side effects, therapeutic dosage, and studies that go above the therapeutic range, before I take any drug. Even paracetamol. The biopsychosocial model is the most effective treatment model being applied in psychiatric facilities because it recognizes the role of the psychiatrist, the therapist and the family in dealing with mental health issues. It is not about reaching that point because psychotherapy ought to be mandatory for you as the patient and also with your family (family therapy) as it has to go hand in hand with the medications, reason you see nothing risky in swinging the dosage and feel there is no side-effects in prescription drug misuse |

majesterial: The dosage given never worked at all. Doctors were reluctant to change dose or change drugs. The symptoms I had then were very severe. I couldn't study as a student. Days, weeks, semesters passed yet no improvement. Since I noticed that I responded immediately to a higher dose, why should I wait for months, bagging carryovers, becaus of a resident who clearly didn't know what he was doing, or just didn't care. Furthermore the doctors had no understanding whatsoever of my symptoms. Most of my most severe symptoms were discarded in the original diagnosis. I don't need to be a doctor to know that 200mg sertraline or 300mg amitriptyline is safe. I researched. If you didn't have confidence in the residents, did you make efforts to see any of the consultants? In as much as the internet is there for research, it is not wise to up one's dosage based on the contents there. Were you offered psychotherapy? |

Those drugs you have mentioned are well known to me because I work in a psychiatric facility and like someone has noted earlier, non adherence to dosage should not be what a patient should gamble with. |

I pray God help sha No job, no accommodation.....advise her to go back to her family in PH and while there, be following up leads on getting a job and possible relatives in Lagos. I still ponder how people still feel comfortable requesting to be housed (when it is not airbnb) by a total stranger in this era of debauchery, missing persons and ritual killings, is it that one's sense of self-preservation has switched off? |
