Lucid1: I'm quite certain that 99% of you guys have valid IDs but due to the hate-filled nature of the average Nigerian towards their government, you just want to criticize cos you have a medium to do so.
National ID is free, even if you misplace it you can get another for a 'token'. The ID might take years to get ready but the slips are valid too and are replaceable on the spot. Reality creeping in? I see you mean the hate-filled nature of chronically irresponsible governments towards the average Nigerian. You now admitting government's woeful failure in all this after all? You find those questions too heavy to answer? Tell me something else please. |

Azmanaty: Will u shut up there! Is Nigeria an advanced country?? First provide the citizens with water and basic amenities before u start talking about positive ID. In advanced countries, ID takes minutes or hours to get processed and released to the owner, in Nigeria NIMC takes minimum of 8years. Abeg yarn another thing What more can we say. Lucid1 just in case you are typing from outside the country. |
Politics › Re: Army Begins Operation Identification Nationwide Today by mindtricks: 6:27am On Nov 02, 2019 |
Lucid1: Story. IDs can't be replaced ni? Outside this country you're required to carry some form of ID, why can't such be replicated in Nigeria. There are always exceptions and if that happens, you'll be quizzed on other means of validating your citizenship. I support the army 100% And you sound like such replacement, even getting one in the first place is easy as it ought to be like you make it appear. You no longer trust the corrupt system and corrupt officials of same government in charge to as usual frustrate such efforts. You forget the unofficially official racketeering that goes with it unchecked, unpunished? Does the law say you should become a criminal because you don't have your ID with you at any point in time? How do you know such exceptions, can you define it? You supporting the army does it change the fact the military is pushing too far into what is not their core function or is it your way of confirming that after all like critics say Nigeria is a banana Republic? |

GENERATOGERIA: You should be worried about your country. Stop talking trash, huh? Ghana is doing fine and your people are arriving here in their thousands despite the “border closure “. How are these nigerians able to pass through a “closed border?”
Fuckeduppedness I can’t believe nigerians think not allowing a couple of Ghanaian trucks to enter their country will collapse the Ghanaian economy very foolish reasoning, if you ask me. By the time your generator-powered economy zooms into recession, na that time una eyes go clear Needless using abusive words my dear. It is well. We all need each other to survive. |

Charly68: People should allow the military to do their job ,the men should however be professional in their conducts Police work now military work, in a civilian regime? Professional? People who have history of unprofessional conduct will suddenly become professional because they are now demanding for ID card from people in an already polarized country? All manners of abnormality now looks normal because there are "good" reasons why they should be allowed to stand. I guess professional criminal elements don't know how to beat this arrangement to go about their criminal activities. |

rexosazy: This really wickedness of the highest order. The Fulani- Hausa herdsmen were never this inhumane 2 decades ago. Where is the hope for agriculture and food sustainability in Nigeria? This incessant farmland destruction by herdsmen is discouraging for prospective farmers, especially the youths. Moringa does quite better in the north than other rain forest parts in Nigeria. The way forward is think security before even starting a farm in the North Honestly, speechless. Wonder what is stopping powers that be from closing the borders against the blood sucking herdsmen in favour of national security and agriculture they act like they care about. Such hopelessness, all manner of hurdles genuine hustlers have to surmount just to make it. |

tinapaj: we don’t really pay taxi in Nigeria, Nigeria is among the countries where its citizen pays the least tax. Don’t like Buhari, but must confess this a positive one from him If you know how much the impoverished masses sacrifice for the great comfort and luxuries the criminals in government enjoy at the peoples expense (like hardly any other country in the world), you will know it is blasphemy to say the people are already not being overtaxed. |

Elipsis: So, if i go to a supermarket to buy goods worth N1,000, i'll pay N50 for Stamp Duty, pay N4 for SMS Alert and still pay N52 for inter-bank transactions.
If i go to 5 supermarkets in a day, ill still pay all these things again!
Minimum wage has not been implemented. VAT has increased to 7.5%, Cost of rice and other food crops has skyrocketed. Toll gates will soon be introduced across federal roads. NEPA/PHCN has increased their tariff. Even to get National ID in your own country, you'll pay N5,000.
Borders are still closed, other ECOWAS countries are now planning on waging economic sabotage on Nigeria.
No good roads, no water, no light, no security, no jobs.
By the time Buhari is done with us, Somalia will be better than Nigeria. We pray God forbid. |

NimrodEndOfDays: 2019 and the best policy our affidavit president is to close borders and be chasing people with bags of rice. Many Nigerians are outrightly dvmb and can be manipulated easily. The budget was passed and education was not considered as a project that is worth upgrading and people are here debating smuggling and rice ban Our senators spend more than half of our budget through reccurent expenditure an people are clapping that Buhari closed border. No one is talking about the debts that this government is piling up. But what we have to show much concern is to close borders. It's not hard to again see that APC and PDP are same after all. Even with their so called victory at the polls and the courts, the APC cannot help reward or I should say punish the masses with their bad governance exactly like PDP with their Atiku will do. Use that money to buy a second grade laptop + a modem and learn a digital skill on YouTube with night plan. I don't want you to buy a phone you'll only use to watch porn, masturbate, and chat with unproductive friends.
If you disobey, I don't want you to come back to Nairaland years later with a new moniker complaining about how you're depressed, how you masturbate too much, and how you need financial help, else you'll commit suicide. Be warned. Be wise. LMAO! So na so the matter be now? |

Use Adeyanju,a public self acclaimed human rights activist to deliver a legitimate petition and EFCC later comes out to claim it is investigating the petition as it's legally bound to. If Tinubu back tracks from his rumoured presidential ambition, the petition dies a natural death. If he doesn't backtrack, then credible and substantial evidence would be made known,to be based on this petition and "others" that Tinubu has been a fraud all his political career. Something like that sha. You no how the story goes. |
