h0nestly i hate it and i see no reas0n for it. Why n0t make aquaman clean shaven? Must he be like thor to be taken seriously? Also hate the flash lo0k. Seeing snyder's recent interview on superhero films, its official he doesn't kn0w what he's doing.

Shall we start with the Bruce's anger, was it justified? Did he really lose a lot of people in the Wayne building during the Superman/Zod fight?

i think alfred said it all. Bruce is m0re c0ncerned of his powerlessness on that day than the victims. That day reminded him of how he felt when his parents died. Hence "the feeling of powerlessness"

Well, remember James Wan was a director of Furious 7, a movie that majorly dealt with speed. It would depend on whether he can accept a change of movie slate. That said, I think David Yates might be too busy for Harry Potter sequels for the next three years under Warner Bros. James Cameron would be another director choice for Aquaman though...

never mind, Wan's still directing aquaman. He debunked those rumors.

That's what they call hearsay in court, the real fact is that Marvel launched their cinematic universe and after its success, DC launched theirs. Nobody cares if they were thinking about it, the main ish is that they didn't have the balls to do it but marvel took the risk and 4 years after their successful cinematic universe movies, DC decided to follow suit.

Quick question, after they failed with the rubbish that was Supergirl, when did DC/WB attempt to do a shared universe again? When did they start taking risks again in their life action films? After Nolan's Batman trilogy. It's now they're taking risks again after poor choices. That's why they're rushing things, forgetting that Marvel* took time to create MCU. So abeg, stop deceiving yourself. It's a shame DC/WB never took a leaf outta of the DCAU (Paul Dini & Bruce Timm were fantastic writers/creators. They did give us Harley Quinn, Nora Fries' backstory, Renee Montoya & Terry McGuiness).

*I'd personally would like to use another reference, but unfortunately Marvel are the only ones doing a shared live action universe.

Marvel was able to take risks as a studio but WB didn't see the profit in other characters of dc but supes and bats. Why do u think dc does well in animati0n and tv? Oga I'm talking about the cinematic universe and not the comics or who first shot a movie. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) started in 2008 and after DC witnessed the success of the first avengers movie, they decided to launch theirs in 2013, calling it the DC Extended Universe(DCEU).

guy DC didn't just sit and watch marvel start the mcu, they had set ups that failed even b4 marvel had an independent studio. Marvel had the fortune of success. Back then dc wantd doing a supes bats film with keat0n and reeves but reeve's accident made it imp0ssible. Pre producti0n 4 superman lives had began with nick cage but it got cancelled. Bale was cast 4 a bats film with supes but n0lan came and decided against it. Had superman returns n0t fl0pped in 2006, jl would've been here. And dc alm0st startd filming 4 jl b4 the writer's strike in 2007 halted it. So u could see dc didn't just sit to watch how it went. They were unlucky. Marvel's lucky ir0n man didn't flop s0mething DC isn't fortunate of. But with M0S they could c0me into the game.

Some folks don start...Tim Burton laid the groundwork for Batman, which Joel Schumacher destroyed. Punisher crashed & burned. Then Blade reminded everyone that superhero films could still make money. Or have y'all forgotten that's a Marvel brand? X-Men came in and blew us away. X2 gave us more awesomeness with a very good Nightcrawler. X3 annoys the hell out of me, I was ready to slap everyone involved. Daredevil & Elektra crashed & burned so bad thanks to nonsense script & weird CGI. Fantastic 4 took the not so serious route and made some money. Did an okay sequel, at least Silver Surfer looked good... Superman Returns happened, gave us a few fantastic scenes (that baseball scene with the plane...sweet), but kinda bored us. It took Christopher Nolan to save Batman after those rubber nips of Joel hell. Nolan made it relevant. Plus, folks have forgotten the travesty that was Catwoman... I forgot to mention the Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, that gave us one of the best movie tie-in games (Spider-Man 2), we even forgive him for the weak link (SM3, still a gazillion times better than Batman & Robin).

Then, Marvel decided to take control of their own characters and decided to release their own shared universe using their C-list superhero, Iron Man, since they weren't really making money from Fox & Sony...and we've seen the rubbish they can do sometimes (Wolverine Origins, X3, Elektra, Daredevil..remember Fox nearly killed Deadpool with whatever that was in Wolverine Origins, I'm not even going to talk about the mistranslated Igbo) and they scored big time. All this time your dearest DC/WB, didn't try to take the shared universe, because they played it safe. Now, they're trying to rush everything. It's a shame Nolan declined, he would have given us BvS that we deserved. Just imagine the VFXs that guy would have given us, since he's a big advocate of practical effects. Do you know why the spinning room looked so real in Inception? The dude made them build the thing, the room was bloody spinning, not CGI. **sighs**

dc playing safe? Heard anything of JL 2007 b4 avengers? Superman 1976? Batman with a c0mic actor? Thats risk.

think again. Dc started it with the c0mics then with supergirl 1984 film. They even had a pre producti0n 4 a JL film with george miller directing in 2007 b4 ir0n man even came out. What u can say is that, they were late to it becos of s0 many things kn0wn to WB. Its n0t like DC has its own studio like marvel to make its own decision

Referencing Tom Cruise on this issue is very much in contrast and disrespectful to Cruise's outstanding career. And that's invalid.
On this thread, I predicted $850M-$950M revenue for Dawn Of Justice. Its around $830M currently,I am still on track .So not being in the industry doesn't still disqualify one as a Fan from sharing his opinion.
Let's put razzie and other nomination talks aside...Marvel is still shying away from the "Black widow" movie project cos they know the risk that is @stake..despite having a Power-house (Scarlett Johansson) in lead-role. There's a major reason for that.
For DC, Gadot must deliver...cos female superhero movies hardly go a long way on box-office.
It might take almost a decade for DC to catch up with Marvel but I am hopeful..DC still made some good decisions like hanging on to David Ayer for Suicide Squad. He's a huge asset.

Dc laid the foundati0ns for superhero c0mic b0oks and films and am sure they'll lay that for female superhero m0vies. They take risks but others rip the glory <marvel>.

That's the mistake you keep making. Plot holes and editing weren't the only problems with BvS. Character motivation, CGI were among too because of the numerous characters. And Justice League is going to feature about 6 comic book characters with other supporting ones. Zach Snyder can't handle that. He should be sacked. Two strikes now, we don't need a third one!

“[b]In the script there were more story lines than you see in the movie today. That was probably our biggest editorial issue in trying to get the cut down to a reasonable length. For us, the trickiest section was the beginning of the film, until the point where Bruce Wayne tells Alfred the truth about what is on the “White Portugese” ship… the truth about his plan. This moment set into motion everything until the end of the film really. Until that point the movie was always tracking many solo paths, some intersecting, some not. Finally in this scene, the paths fork into one road. In the script there are more subplots than you see in the movie right now. Also in terms of building this beginning we had to move things around. In the script, Lex was introduced much later, but we found that in watching the movie – because he’s such an important player, it was best to set him up sooner. Plus, his presence has so much energy, a twisted comic energy that boosted the film. Generally, BvS was a unique challenge in that we had not one but two protagonists, each with an alter-ego. So there was Clark Kent, Superman, Bruce Wayne and Batman. And then surrounding them are Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Wallace Keefe (the guy who loses his legs when Wayne Tower falls), Perry White, Martha Kent, Holly Hunter’s character (Senator Finch), and still more characters orbiting them.

“It was a lot to juggle. So the plot lines of a couple characters had to go. These people are currently in the movie but we don’t track them, and it’s okay. What’s kind of fun is that we went back and did an extended cut where we put a lot of this stuff back, and we refined it into the same rhythm as the theatrical release. So what was once a nearly four hour cut with absolutely everything was ridiculous – ended up being about a three hour cut, once all these added storylines were refined with the fat was cut out.[/b]”

I think many plot lines in the final movie could have been the result of using two writers with different ideas and perspective to write the movie. It would seem that WB might be the cause of all these gaffes. The picture is now getting clearer with this interview.

See. You see why i d0n't blame snyder? Now lots of people have crucified the man when he's n0t really the one at fault. Before blaming the director, we need to listen to news, rum0urs on set abt the shooting, the acting in a film and the style. Unless its the director who wrote the film, the director has no liberty to touch the script if he's working for the studio. He only does that if he's a major game player in h0llyw0od. Snyder isn't. I have issues with snyder but n0t the script. Its m0re with style.

Yeah, Snyder likes too much graphic violence and explosion in his movies. He should work hard on that very well otherwise it becomes too artificial. I think the script had too much story going on in it for the original movie cut to be four hours, that's probably the result of trying to merge three stories together. By the way, I read somewhere that Superman said less than 50 lines in BvS and Wonder Woman had just about 15 lines! That's very awful dialogue and poor character development. Like I said in my earlier review, it seems movie relied on too much facial and body language instead of actual dialogues. I don't know whose fault this is? Could it be the scriptwriter or director?

The scriptwriter. The director only directs how the lines are said and expressed in a film.

If I was to rate it, I'll probably give it 2 stars out of 4. The film had many faults. First of all, the editing, which was off and choppy. Secondly, the CGI (Second rate: especially that of doomsday). Thirdly, they should have saved the death of superman for a Man of Steel sequel. Then, the world would have accepted him and his death would be felt. Lex luthor for one had no motivation for wanting to kill superman. And perhaps, they should have taken the story a little bit backward. Rather than start from when Bruce Wayne was at the Zod fight scene, they should have taken it back to that moment when Zod interrupted worldwide communications asking for Superman as hostage. Then Batman can start investigating him from there. In addition, how come Lois Lane was ubiquitous and why should Batman throw away the kryptonite spear when it can come in handy in case Clark goes rogue. At the most basic level, the story doesn't work. I still have other issues with the film. At first, I was annoyed about the bad reviews, but after thinking back, I couldn't agree more. What makes the MCU better is that they can tell simple and plot holes-free stories. And if the DCEU is to succeed, they should start hiring better writers even with the dark route they are going. I am still of the opinion: sack Zack Snyder before Justice League becomes another or worse more MAN OF STEEL.

i too have problems with the film but i d0n't think its snyder. The writer (goyer) maybe, the editor yes. Thinking about it, its obvious alot of tinz which made sense in the film were cut c0nsidering it being a 4 hour film. And if such were to happen you get a m0vie thats c0nfusing. The CGI i couldn't agree m0re, it was bad, d0omsday was bad. They should've made d0omsday l0ok m0re like hulk with a skin than him l0oking like the thing of fantastic 4. The explosi0ns are what i hate with snyder n0w. He started that with M0S making unnecessary things explode devalue the fun. What did it benefit snyder to have d0omsday sh0ot beams fr0m eyes, m0uth and be pure energy? I d0n't kn0w. I was expecting snyder to have taken BvS the watchmen route and n0t what he did here. Still waiting on the 3 hour versi0n though. L0osing faith in the Dceu though.

"However, according to Movie Pilot, this may not be the case in the first installment of "Justice League" as there is a possibility for Aquaman to even challenge Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and the rest of the league. The website cited a YouTube video of Heroic Insider that claims the upcoming "Justice League" movie will feature a war between the team of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and Cyborg and that of the Atlantis as helmed by Aquaman.

The report further said that the movie will highlight the dislike of the Atlanteans and Amazons towards each other, the groups to which Aquaman and Wonder Woman belong to, respectively, thanks to their thousands of years of conflict.

Exciting as this plot may be, everything is a piece of unconfirmed report at this point in time and must only be taken with a grain of salt."

Just hope they won't overhype it. But right now, the only Superhero movie am interested in is CA:CW

The issue with the series is that super girl ain't like superman...She didn't spend and grow on earth from child hood or a baby like Karl...SG always does things her way and she will use brute force to beat the crap out of any vilian, not the goody, lovey kara that CBS shows ...Thank goodness the flash crossover made that episode and series a lot more lively.

CBS Supergirl isn't dat bad na. The show still has lots of issues. But it has really improved.

Lol it's like we're opposites. I have 0 anticipation for X-men, I think it'll be critically panned and worse than BvS, though it'll do OK on RT, around 70%.Looking forward to Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange, think they'll be fantastic. Civil War and Now You see Me 2 will be cool

as a fan of Jesse Eisenberg, Now You see me 2 would be better. Dr strange would be like thor and Gotg, aint hyped 4 it.
