Most of the faults you list are for not liking flash caused by the screenwriters and director, not with the actor itself. As an actor he is okay, working with the story and character he is allowed to show(in short the blame is basically CW). The bolded part is flat out wrong and a diss on the acting chops of Grant as the reason for WB not having flash tv show in DCEU is not due to acting testing but a executive decision to keep its various properties separate and avoid trying to tie everything together like marvel and hence limiting the creative choices of the shows and the movies. Also Ezra miller is relatively untested, the only movie of his worth anything is Perks of a Being a Wallflower and that is not a good show of whether he can act as flash or not. I wish him the best but not to the extent of dissing the acting chops of Grant who really is one of the few things that keep that inconsistent, ill-thought out show watchable.

Agree with you on Iris and Canary thought, those two are legit terrible.

i d0n't doubt Gustin as a g0od actor. He's great but can he stand up to the A listers if merged with them? Maybe he could, maybe he can't but fr0m what i've seen he can't. Not yet or maybe its how i see him. I thank WB though for n0t including the cw shows. The only thing i'll miss fr0m them though is Jesse Martin and Tom Cavanagh.

Grant Gustin as the flash is great minus the humor, Barry Allen is just a foeresnsics expert not Einstein so I think they got that one right and hey it's the only DC TV show currently worth talking about.

Do we even kn0w if gustin screen tested with them before WB decided against the idea of having him as flash in the dceu? Well the main pr0blem was Amell. Adding gustin if by ur opinion would mean bringing Amell as G. A and that felicity character. The cw is in fact n0t right for the dceu. Imagine that awful iris west in the flash film or katie cassidy as black canary.

bro i saw Barry Allen in Ezra miller the very m0ment he was interviewed on Mtv. He was m0re Barry than Grant Gustin. Gustin kn0ws how to play the nerdy and em0ti0nal type but he's n0t that g0od at being funny or able to pull Green Arrow's legs or call him out on being overly serious. That Barry Allen's kn0wn for. He calls Batman out fr0m being a douche bag. Watch flashpoint paradox and see. Barry is supp0sed to be intelligent and the cw's or Grant Gustin's Barry is no way near. To me he's m0re like an average kid in science. The barry in c0mics isn't shy to get the gal. He's even kn0wn to be a flirty type. He's flirted the black canary, Oliver's babe in the c0mics. Watch Grant try to act funny e.g the Arrow seas0n 4 ep 8 clip where he m0cks Savage. He came off weird. The only time he actually came close to being funny was in Arrow seas0n 3 ep 23 when he went to nanda parbat. Am n0t saying Grant can't act, he can even m0re than Stephen Amell but there are scenes he can't really pull off. Roy Harper is m0re funny than him but the actor is n0t very g0od at acting but better than Amell. In fact in the whole of Arrow, he and that Sara lance actress 'caity lotz' are terrible. I wish they had kept justin Hartley as the Green Arrow in Arrow.

The Avengers film will feature about 60 of Marvel's most prominent characters. I don't think DCEU is ready to challenge that yet.

Marvel might lose steam after the avengers though (I learnt they are planning to kill off some important characters), but all in all Avengers has a greater fan base.

If Marvel doesn't up their game in film production by 2018, it is very likely that even the coming Flash movie will stand head- to-head with the so called Avengers Infinity. DCEU is bringing a new technique to the table, which might mar Marvel in the future. Don't forget that the Flash already has a strong followership in the TV world with one successful serie in the 90s and the current flash series...

Those were the pr0blems with the then dc films that came out po0r. Lack of c0mmitment which n0w has being rectified. Fr0m the l0ok of things Aquaman and Flash m0stly flash might begin filming late this year. Thats after JUSTICE LEAGUE.

My point is that, if the writers of the show had taken full advantage of Barry's power, there wouldn't have been the need for help from Oliver's team in the first place.

Take for example, when Barry first had a face off with Savage. Instead of just knocking him down, he could have easily carried him to the star labs prison. He had the element of suprise in that scene.

Another example is when Savage appeared in star city. Barry took on the defensive role and allowed Oliver and Thea to attack, he even brought Oliver's bow to him.

The writers of the show have shown that they can limit Barry's abilities whenever they like.

thats what's irritating me with them and this whole seas0n. The writing. The way savage was portrayed is bad thats why i didn't see him as a threat or interesting. The savage i kn0w has his g0ons do his dirty w0rk. 1st they had barry run fr0m the 1st fight when his immediate thought could've been what if he's also a meta sent by z0om? Bam! Speed him to star labs. But instead they had barry take kendra 2 oliver, exp0sing his identity. What if it was a plan all al0ng by kendra? What if she knew s0mething was going on with the flash team? What if she was fbi or s0me rogue intelligence? After all she just sh0wed up in central city. Thats why i prefer all these intelligence tv sh0ws like pris0n break. The writings are intelligent. Seriously th0se legends epis0de are epis0des i despise m0st. The flash is getting generic, i h0pe the M0vie can c0me and shake things up. I trust Ezra Miller. Arrow this seas0n is bad, the acti0n choreography p0or. I want the seas0n 1 fight sequence. The cw is bad 4 g0od c0mic shows thats why am n0t anticipating Legends. That and the vandal savage character.

how is making it a period piece ruining the m0vie? Its set in the 1920s. And fr0m the l0ok of things, the m0vie is a prequel of the DCEU and how WW got to be in bvs. Its an origin st0ry partly th0ugh and am sure n0t all of us kn0w her origin, her villains etc do we? Saying they are ruining it is funny cos same you would c0me asking how WW got to be a part of bvs, or how she came to be. And FYI, hawkman is n0t an egyptian mythology. Dr. Fate is. His reincarnati0n makes it seem he's of an egyptian mythology. How many egyptian myths do we want in the DCEU? Shazam, dr. Fate, hawkman, hawkgirl etc? To me, its better Dc c0nnects hawk people with green lantern corps film to best explain their eventual employment in the JUSTICE LEAGUE. Have the sinestro war or whatever take place on many planets just like guardians of the galaxy and include easter eggs like--the Martian war, Thanagar being an ally to the big headed Guardians that created the green lantern corps. Finish. We've c0vered an unnecessary tale of magic and having to explain it with the plot and thus we've c0nnected or extended the dceu.

I guess this is another version of Vandal Savage they are portraying. For reasons known to the producers, they have changed the origin of this Vandal Savage, with a pretty much different timeline. I guess they are trying to avoid using the real character because he might appear somewhere in the extended DCEU in the future. The real Vandal Savage has lived for over 40,000 years, the one in the Flash/DC crossover started living around the time of ancient Egypt, circa 4000 B.C. which makes him only about 6,000 year old. Do you know that the origin stories of Hawkman and Hawkgirl were also tweaked? The real Hawk ancestors were never from Earth, not to talk of being Priestess and Prince in Egypt. I guess the DC multiverse storyline is at work here...lol.

seeing d0omsday in the trailer makes me doubt it. These rum0urs are spread by agents w0rking with the film team to thr0w fans 4 a lo0p. Its a marketting technique. The m0re u hear these rum0urs and the m0re snyder shows off m0re clips debunking th0se rum0urs, the m0re u and i would want to see the final pr0duct even th0ugh we do or d0n't want to. Bizarro isn't in the film so l0ng as d0omsday's in it. The rum0ur mill would've w0rked on me if i never saw d0omsday in the trailer.

From what I can get in the scene, I think Batman and Superman are racing towards a crime scene and somehow Superman got there first. You can see why Batman was passed to find Supes around the same vicinity. This looks like their first official meeting. ..

It depends, it is certainly a risk but I can see a successful spider man helming the franchise. Characters like captain marvel being a big enough success too. Although yeah, X-men has their best stories but Inhumans has a couple of great stories. They would also be getting the fantastic four back soon following that fantastic failure of a movies so they have a lot of options.

Can we discuss Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman? New trailers will be released on CW on the 19th of January which coincides with the Flash mid-season start-up. I am not too comfortable with the director of Wonder Woman because I haven't seen any her outstanding movies. What do you guys think?

well for Patty jenkins, she was to direct thor 2 for marvel but left due to marvel n0t wanting to go dark with the dark w0rld <pun intended> i guess there's a reas0n WB ch0se her.
