Many times the FG had tried to intervene in sporting associations affairs but the World umbrella body will always come up with threats of sanctions.
What happened here that we now have two factions in our AFN. One supported by the Ministry of Sport. It was the one that doesn't have the Ministry's backing that signed this Puma contract. So the Ministry rejected it for the Olympics.
How was Puma to know the AFN has been fractionalized?
And the Ministry too, instead of approving preexisting contract it hurriedly signed another one with a local brand that obviously could not live up to the standard that Puma promised us

2. When did we sign the Puma contract and when did we sign the AFA?

3. Which faction of the AFN signed the Puma contract?

4.Did the AFN carry the Ministry along in signing the contract?


What I see here is lack of synergy between the Ministry and various Federations. What see here is corruption.
The Ministry was unhappy with the Puma contract because it wasn't privy to it.
One contract should have been signed for the whole Olympic team .
