Someone in those comments claimed a python swallowed all the dogs in her area one time I'm wondering how that happened considering that once a python feeds on prey as big as a dog,it can go more than 9months before needing to feed again. Someone was obviously stealing those dogs and blaming it on an innocent python |

this semi literate foolish women is the classic reason why Nigerians are loathed in so many places
she is in a mosque.
look at most of the other women around her - conservatively dressed. in a mosque where she should be focused on her prayer, she is trying to outdo everyone there with meaningless fine girl. this same idiot attitude that is so prevalent in nigeria - i must oppress, i must be noticed, is what these jokers carry outside this country, and is what drives them.
why will the people in that mosque not notice and be irritated by her? and that is the same attituide you see from the barely educated hustlers that smear us all. their empty pathetic lives revolve around showing off in the most foolish , off putting ways This is quite accurate |

PlayerMeji: As much as I would want to agree with you, I keep finding myself disagreeing with your points like you wrote Exportation is Sub-Saharan Africa's lifeblood, ma'am, I don't agree completely because no country thrives on importation.
Therefore, Exportation is basically every country's largest form of revenue. That's what Trump is willing to change as successive administrations before him tried to upturn the trade deficits to China to no avail because it was hurting the economy.
My original point was that it's high time African leaders took the initiative to develop value added products that would make us gain more not by sending raw materials uniquely or not (just saying) but finished and semi-finished products that would trade favorably anywhere in the world.
Missy, I think Africa is being exploited because we can't add value to our products and when we trade with these good-looking, well-suited fellas we are always left bloodied because of the cutthroat deals we bring back.
Just my two kobos. That has been my point all along and what i meant by Africa needing the west more than the west needs Africa. The result of this is just why we are always left bloodied from cutthroat deals. I get your point nonetheless tho. |

baby124: I agree. But Logobenz said the capsize happened very soon after departure. Nigeria and Cameroon share borders but our Navy should also have been present at this incident if the report is accurate and even if it’s just to show support. I read it sank in the bakassi peninsula, that is Cameroonian waters |

Logobenz3: The bolded is not true!! What happened was COMATRANS had 4 vessels but was plaqued with incompetence since the owner decided to fire all the expatriates running it and started training his tribesmen to run that vessel. Their first disaster happened in Gabon where all crew left their ship unattended to and improperly berthed to go and flex in town as big ballers wey dem be It floated away to a restricted water and when the navy of that country radioed them, there was no response. It was shot down!first loss. Second loss was their shining star Brenda Colette that caught fire right in a jetty due to flammable cargo. I can't blame them for that. Third loss was due to overload, the vessel did not even move an inch from the wharf and began sinking immediately right there infront of everyone. Here now,the owner bankrupt(I know him personally) decided to borrow small money to rehabilitate the oldest of his fleet(Austrheim) to help him raise money for a better vessel which has now sank. I think it is improper crew that wrecked this company because when the Senegalese crew were still there(captain Kahn to be precise),they never had a single incident for more than 13 years. Really sad men. This is sad |

baby124: Honestly, I don’t think people have reported these incidents. If not for Logobenz this would have gone unreported as well. It’s a huge loss of lives. Nigerian government try to minimize responsibility. If they are not shamed in the media, they pretend like it never happened. I don’t think this is about Tribe.
Amaechi the minister of transport should answer for this. Also the Navy should be questioned seriously. How come Cameroon is rescuing our people. There is no presence of the Navy in our waters. So we are as porous everywhere as a broken basket. God help us in this country.
Also, the neighboring states and originating states should have stepped in or called the attention to the FG on this. So that sea travel can be made safer. This mode of transportation is definitely needed and FG need to support it and provide opportunity for the industry. Safety must be a priority. RIP to those who lost lives... passengers should not be in cargo holds for cargo vessels though. That’s completely crazy. About the navy,i think if the capsize happened on Cameroonian waters, their navy would be the ones authorized for rescue operations. |

She is not too far from the truth, the part about self induced hatred i mean. Nigerians are more intolerant and suspicious of themselves than most other nationalities towards Nigerians.
What i don't get tho is how this is the reason why anyone should be involved in fraud. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Can USA Win This Trade War Between USA And China? by missjo(f): 12:20pm On Aug 27, 2019 |
PlayerMeji: Interestingly, everyone has something to trade with. Africa has its raw materials: while Saudi Arabia had its oil they were able to negotiate deals that worked for their economy... Of course there's always something to trade with but is it tangible, is it a unique product that cannot be bought elsewhere or even if it could,at the same quality or a better quality. Also, can the country do without selling and still be self-sufficient. That is the problem with African countries, exportation is the lifeblood of most nations in sub-Saharan Africa and the west knows this. These same countries also lack self-sufficiency hence are also heavily dependent on imports for even basic amenities. Now if you were a businessman who had to negotiate a deal with another businessman like Africa, who do you think would have the upper hand on the negotiating table? You or the other? |

XhosaNostra: So what do you prefer being called? Because that's the often used word, even by Coloureds themselves. Is there a new term I'm not aware of? You sound like a cool girl, so I'm sure once people get to know you, they warm up.
Hmmmm...sounds very interesting. Do you consider yourself a South African or a Nigerian? Do you have a Nigerian sweetheart? That's the vibe I'm getting Lol,I'm black. And if that seems too odd due to my skin tone, then biracial is fine. My preference is black tho. You know that coloured can't be used in places like America and England right? Its considered a racial slur that evokes memories of slavery so i guess that's where my irritation of the word comes from. Even in SA, it should evoke the memories of apartheid so i don't get why its used still so casually. Until recently, I had not considered myself either Nigerian or South African as both my parents were not born in Africa,my nana on mom's side is white British, dad had an Afrikaans father. Given my genealogy, I'm clearly more South African than Nigerian although i seem to gravitate towards Nigerians and yes that vibe you're gettin is accurate. |

XhosaNostra: The bolded though is due to the fact that some Coloured people think they're better than blacks, hence nobody is too eager to embrace them. A baseless superiority complex is after all very offputting & people also have their own big egos that stand in the way of bridging the gap. I'm saying this because I know Coloured people very well & before you think I'm being biased. I have a Coloured mother, who thankfully, wasn't like the kind you normally find in Cape Town, for instance, even though that's where she's originally from. She spoke fluent Xhosa, like most Coloureds in the East London area. I also attended a Coloured high school, so I know how some be feeling like something special even when they barely have hair They're full of prejudice even to their darker counterparts. Not to say blacks don't have their own prejudice against Coloureds because they do. Just speaking as someone that understands both sides of the fence.
With that said, please tell me more about your visits to Nigeria. What brought you there & how was it? Eishhhhh,oh how i feel being referred to as coloured, whites coined that word & its downgrading but i forgive you. But hey i guess that means I am paying for the sins of others despite me having no airs about me,lol Nigerians are friendly with foreigners, just be sure to have someone taking you around. If it's Lagos u plan to be tho,it's safe as there is a fair number of foreigners living, working, & moving freely tho i noticed they're concentrated in certain areas. I & my girls did a trip on our own just to get a feel of the Nigerian experience cos my mom is Nigerian but i have spent more time in Nigeria than she ever did,she doesn't even seem to care & i keep taunting her with this. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Can USA Win This Trade War Between USA And China? by missjo(f): 8:59am On Aug 27, 2019 |
PlayerMeji: Sadly, I meant both.
Ma'am, no country will allow its economy to be exploited like African countries are in the West. These countries that don't allow their economies to be exploited by the west, well guess what, they have a certain level of development and industrialization which makes them self sufficient to an extent, meaning they can go to the negotiating table with something tangible. Can you say the same of most African countries? |
Romance › Re: What's Your Stereotype? How Do People Treat You At First Sight? by missjo(f): 8:37am On Aug 27, 2019 |
Depends on my location. In Nigeria, I'm stereotyped based on my mixed race xteristics which translates into people staring, also being nice, formal, & helpful.mostly positive. And guys always feel they have to take a shot. In SA, I'm stereotyped as neither black nor white, almost confusing. Too light to be black, not white enough to be white. This translates into indifference mostly from people. They look, acknowledge my presence and then turn away. Outside Africa, I'm completely invisible no one even sees or looks at me directly, but if they have to talk, it's usually courteous. |
