Queenhadassah: After I got my ielts result yesterday I called my cousin that works with immigration Canada yesterday if he had any idea when FSW program will resume and he told me he has no idea, that they are working on Afghanistan refugees, I guess the Canadian govt is trying to bring them in as refugees. I just pray and hope that this doesn't affect FSW program. This is already mentioned on their website and it said enquiries only. Call center agents have limited visibility and instructions come from the Minister. While they maybe prioritizing Afghan refugees, we have to wait until travel restrictions are lifted to see how things unfold. Keep the faith!! |

brogxy: Finally passed my IELTS at a second trial. I guess my emotions affected the first test due to what I passed through during the week to the test. My FIL was sick, so shuffling reading, work and scheduled night visitations to the hospital added more stress. To cap it all, we lost him the Thursday to the test and that added to the emotional trauma already passed through.
I had to brave up and sat for the test but I got 7.5, 8.5,7,7 in LRSW respectively. While the preparation for the second was also intensive since I would not want to have the test again, reading was so tough on test day that I wondered if it wasn't the same IELTS reading, I also checked if I mistakenly registered for IELTS academic. Alas, the result came out 8.5, 7, 8, 7. I feel so good!
Both tests were BC CBT. Congratulations , everything will fall into place |

There isn’t anything we can do for you so I’ll recommend you speak with the person and ask for a refund. |

Ajaxa: House let me come out like this. I know his two kids are in Canada and he has been there too. He showed me a visa tonight that was granted on his phone. Though I'm sure my money will come out and I have been doubting him too but I'm just trying to play safe because I know he can't go away with my money. That one is certain he is my landlord. I will collect my money but I just want to know maybe he is trying to help so I don't rush things with him or just hint me on what questions to ask him to know where I am. Already I have an interview at us embassy for spring intake into wiu. I did this myself and to God be the glory but I already started his own before trying US. Please just key questions to ask him to know if he is only trying to scam me What do you want to hear? |

HOMA777: Good morning, please I need your polite and sincere advise? I got a job offer from a company in Canada, hopefully to resume by mid September. They have designated an immigration attaché whom have reached out to me for submission of my credentials and international passport for visa processing. Please be informed the said company have paid 850 dollars in my name for the visa processing and also rep as my guarantor.
Here his my challenge, my passport expires in Dec 2021 I need a renewal link fast track precisely 7-10days Max. It's been over a week since the immigration attaché reached out to me for submission, right now I feel like every day count. My other challenge is that I just resume a new job in July 2021 I need time to visit immigration office for renewal but my current job is so stressful that even when you step out of the company every other staff will be questioning how did it happen?
I hold a high priority position. I reside in Lagos. I am feeling like running away to have the time to do what I need to do. Please advise me? I resigned from my former job and it took me 7month to get this new one. You can request a day off and I think getting a passport renewed is done online these days. In all you do, communicate with the person handling your application and he or she might even be in a position to help get a renewal. All the best!! |

Favouriteguy: Thank you @MissMa01 for the head on. I will start by saying yes it is spousal sponsorship. No PPR email yet. For the JnJ single shot, is it readily available here in Nigeria as it seems to be the fastest since it is a single shot.
Thanks for helping out Oh congratulations , you are on a different pathway from ours. For vaccination, register here https://nphcda.gov.ng/ and go for your shot on your appointment date. All the best out there and may Canada favour you and your family. |

About vaccination, I would love to know the accepted ones in CA b4 I take any here in 9ja. Can I take both jabs in 3weeks?
I am at your DM sir Hello , Canada recommends Pfizer, Moderna,AZ and JnJ. I’ll recommend you visit cic website and read the steps you need to take before arrival. In addition, unless you are taking JnJ single shot, you can’t do both in three weeks. Besides, do you have the actual PPR email or passport stamped with COPR issued? Not to be a buzz kill but with the way things are moving, you will need more than three weeks for all these to be done or is your application under spousal sponsorship? |

I guess Canada also doesn’t owe anyone including citizens of other G7 countries (supposedly on their level) any form of transparency because Nigerians are in the mix. Interesting part is IRCC has admitted that their current system is out of date meaning they have to physically be in the office to process applications.
We blame pandemic but other countries are already back to normal life and working. As simple as COPR re-issue it gets discussed in House of Commons every other business day.
Let’s not even talk about the judicial review of waiting 57months to get a response. If they want to cancel applications, it’s within their rights to do so but they actually owe applicants a decision after the processing fee has been paid.
Anyway, our fellow countrymen cross the atlantic and suddenly assume people on the other side are not enlightened - we have seen such comments here over and over.
Anyone that wants to grumble ,cry, wail should do so- feel free instead of holding it in and being depressed. If there’s no space here, your AOR WhatsApp groups should let you vent, cry and kumbaya with you.
You started this journey and that’s brave, it’s only a matter of time and everything will fall into place. |

littyprincess: What are you even saying? Is IRCC delaying the applications for no reason? Aren’t you seeing that we are in a pandemic? Aren’t you hearing about the numbers of people that are dying? Abi the pandemic nor reach your side? She said what she said. It’s not fair but if you’re going to complain all day, you might as well withdraw your application so you can have peace of mind and ‘certainty’ as you call it. P.S nobody should even tag me. I know it’s not fair and that it’s also frustrating but I’m tired of adults grumbling all over the internet. All these complaining isn’t going to make the applications process faster. But here you are grumbling at the fact that adults are grumbling all over the Internet. Perhaps if it bothers you so much you can leave the thread for folks to seek comfort or sanity during a process that lacks transparency. Tell that to the girl that got COPR,resigned her job and still can’t get a reissue. Tell that to folks that can’t wait to reunited with their families during a ‘Panasonic’. |

sweetoma: I’m almost running mad. The way I immersed myself in French for over 9months, neglecting all other aspects of my life Including work. Just to come now and be waiting aimlessly. The annoying part is if you venture on twitter and see the way IRCC is ignoring all enquiries related to FSW, it’s just inhumaine. At the end of the day, it’s not the wait that is bad, it’s the fear that the stream may be discontinued. If we at least had a timeline to look forward to, it would be easier I understand how you feel. They lack transparency and Ofcourse being political about it. It would be easier if they could be honest and say “hey we don’t have the capacity to process all 750k plus PR applications and we will need a year” or “we are suspending FSW for now” that way hopefuls can either plan for a study option or make plans for a different country. Nonetheless, I am certain we will all get a positive outcome in the end. We just need to remain calm. |

AgreatMan: I don't know why u are being combative.
USA graciously donated 4M Vax...when will we stop begging?
4M Moderna was delivered 12 days ago, I bet they r waiting for EU to donate 4M needles. You really want me to dig into this
Just get d Vax no Matter what. Where did I tell anybody not to get it. I am not being combative and I’ll respond to you as this is a public forum/thread. Perhaps if you paid attention more you’d realize there’s vaccine nationalism even Australia can’t lay their hands on Pfizer. Even Canada at some point was scheduled to receive vaccine donation from the US so what?? The vaccines weren’t administered because as with any reasonable process, it needs to be tested, healthcare officials trained on how to handle and administer , what to expect etc. Perhaps you expected them to roll out almost immediately without following due process. If something is done right, there will be little risk involved. |

AgreatMan: I don't want to tear into Naija matter, it's depressing.
Just get d jab anyhow I don’t give a f**k about Nigeria but let’s not peddle wrong information while at it. The government is literally begging folks to get vaccinated. USA ‘graciously’ sent 4M doses of Moderna, we have received JnJ and about to receive Az this week but you comfortably left that part out and dropped a message saying people should go to Ghana for it. Same stock in Ghana is what we have here - literally from AU/COVAX or USA. This is a matter of life and death and the least you can do is encourage people to walk into the nearest primary health center and get vaccinated. Is it the same Ghana that will collect money for yellow fever card so you get a pass at PoE - there’s nothing fascinating about their shitty governance. It’s a sh*thole all round. |

Emmy2009: An applicant can appoint a person to do business with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on their behalf. Does Emmanuel Babatunde Ajagun want to allow IRCC give their information to an appointed person (such as an immigration consultant, lawyer, friend or family member) to contact IRCC on their behalf? This person can also get details on their case file, such as the status of their submission or application. (This person is called a "representative".)
guys please what should i input for the above question when entering the pool. mind you i dont have a representative or an agent right now because im doing everything myself. but i dont know if i will have one tomorrow, if i select yes to the question, does that mean only the representative can get my details in the future and if i select no, does that mean i can never ever use an agent
the options are 1. designated individual 2. representative 3. both 4. no 4- no |

1.Since what year? (required) Am i supposed to select the year and month i started my masters, ended my masters or was awarded my masters degree
2.This is my current study (required) It asks for yes or no and i don't even understand the question at all.
3. Complete full academic years. It states when you click the question mark buttton -You must enter the number of full academic years you completed, supported by a final transcript. How am i supposed to fill this. My masters session was 17/18 - 19/20 but i was awarded the degree in 2021. How and what should i write exactly. and i'm i supposed to upload a picture of my transcript? there is no place to do that here
Thanks for your help. Image is below for reference 1. The year you started 2 . No (it’s not your current study) 3 . Your program was 2years (or perhaps I should ask the exact year you started and year you finished - that will help you with the duration) No, your certificate will be uploaded in your e-apr |
