gbadexy: That's part benefit of the media exposure on the Evans guy. People are learning how to be more security conscious and his victims can come out to share their real experience with him. The reports we are reading is a far cry from the non violent approach he would want the people to believe to whip up sentiment. funny enough he hurts and harm people and turned jelly when caught. I'm disgusted whenever I read comments by some persons lamenting and complaining about the Evans thread. I think such people are questionable characters. If you are tired of reading about the guy simply ignore the thread and move on to others! are you people trying to intimidate others into gradually dying the case or is it by force for you to read about him! Thank you! |

Education › Re: FG Denies Removing CRK From Secondary School Curriculum by Misterdhee1(m): 11:05am On Jun 21, 2017 |
It is so unfortunate that the fp was filled with bigotry comments. I was earlier of the view that the development was unnecessary, but after speaking with a friend of mine that attended a public secondary school back then (around 2005), i was informed that Arabic and Islamic Studies have always been a separate/optional subjects, same as CRK and French. Aside that, i also got to know that Arabic is the 2nd most spoken language in Africa, after English, with over 100 million indigenous Africans speaking it. http://www.africaranking.com/most-spoken-languages-in-africa/5/So, having such option in our curriculum is not really a bad idea. Aside that, there are millions of Arabic speakers around the globe that aren't even Muslims. Arabic is just another language, and is not necessarily an Islamic identity. Many Muslims don't even understand standard Arabic, aside the basic ones they used while praying. Bringing these kind of issues up at this period of our national life, is just intended to heat up the already heated polity and further divide us. It's just a pity that many Youths are blind to this and are swallowing the sentiments hook, line and sinker. |

There is a reason why Anambra state is the only state in Igboland where there is no where the hausas are given land. We chased the ones at headbridge into asaba, Delta state and the ones at amansea into ugwuoba, Enugu state. Look for the black goat while it is still day. So the prevailing laws also include jobless youths (omo onile) requesting for money from them abi? Since you chased them from Anambra, then it is sane to conclude that none of your indigenes should also be allowed to stay and live in Hausaland. Two crazy regions! |

Politics › Re: Igbo Youths Write UN, Demand Protection Of Igbos In The North And Referendum by Misterdhee1(m): 9:12pm On Jun 20, 2017 |
The shallowness in this Writeup speaks volume of how pathetic Ipobs are. 1. They talked about Boko Haram: Yet no single eastern state has witnessed any boko haram activity since the start of the insurgence. Boko haram is simply a crime against Northerners by few crazy Northerners. So what points are they trying to pass across by including it in their write-up? Stupidity! 2. Except these guys are 15 year olds, no sane individual can deny the fact that igbos led by Kaduna Nzeogwu and Emmanuel Ifeajuna masterminded the first coup in Nigeria. And that that, played crucial role in the event leading to the civil war. 3.That igbos have been killed several times in the North is nothing but a baseless claim. Nigeria has always witnessed a lot of extra judicial killings across all the regions. Aside the single example cited in the article, i still can't remember any igbo killed in the north in the last few years. Hausas, Fulanis, Ijaws, Yorubas, and other tribes have been killed in the north. Same have been witnessed in the South. It has been an inclusive shit. And if truly igbos are being killed in large volumes as stated, then why are there still tons of igbos living and trading in the North The fact remains that igbos have gained a lot from the union than any other tribe. There is no denying that without the largeness of the Nigerian market, most successful igbos would have been grounded. How many successful igbos are even based at home? Its really sickening to know that the same ipobs that promised to burn the zoo are the same people writing to UN for protection after being clapped back at. |

LordAdam16: The more shameful part is that it is even a debate in the first place.
In this day and age, if a person above the age of 15 and has passed Junior High (JSS) is arguing against gender equality (usually because they have unashamedly failed to grasp the faintest idea of what it is about), it paints a rather grim picture of how far off the mark we are as a nation.
It's not like it was ever that encouraging, but at least girl child education isn't a taboo topic anymore, and one would reasonably expect that normal, functioning adults know a teeny-weeny bit about gender equality, it's relationship with girl child education, and why the world's future rests on progressive stances like gender equality and equity, resource sustainability, increased tolerance et cetera.
Many of the comments I see here are statements I'd expect from ret*rded folks, unambitious dropouts, religious f*cktards, men who have failed in life (and need to mudsling others to feel better about themselves), or privileged egoists. But you'd be surprised about the standings of many of the commenters on here and how they are a bitter reflection of the society.
Just walk into any random eatery and bring this issue up, you'd be surprised about the similarity between the contributions you receive and the comments you read here.
And it is particularly nauseating that a forum run by a self-acclaimed progressive atheist would actually promote a non-religious position that would never stand in any rigorous academic debate in any of the world's top 10,000 institutions for discussion, never mind the ridiculous balderdash that made up the OP.
Am I disappointed by the comments I read on here, absolutely not, many Nigerians redefine stupidity with their opinions that are about as factual as the Santa Claus myth. But then, did I expect to see the kind of promotion this thread gets, not likely. I read through this thread in one of my recent forays in the Romance section, and decided against commenting because I deemed it a perfect avenue for misfits to throw a pity party about how the world is conspiring against them. And some d*rtbag mod decided it was a party deserving of prime-time.
Unbelievable!
-Lord All i can deduct from your post is rant, rant and rant. No single intellectual contribution. There have been several arguments for and against the topic on this thread. But all you can do is try make yourself sound more learned than other commenters without any meaningful statement. That's trashy. Whoever made u a Lord sef! |

I think you are just scared and want to maintain your "dominance" at all cost, even if it means holding others back. You aren't making sense. Can you possibly allow ur sister climb palm tree while you are standing or your wife go to war while you sit at home? Gender equality is a big fuss. Ladies are naturally wired to submit to men. Men are naturally wired to lead and protect them. All this shout for gender equality is just outright nonsense. |

Even though i am a Muslim, i do not subscribe to the introduction of Arabic into our educational curriculum, whether it is compulsory or not. There are many other more important diplomatic languages we can introduce into the system, not Arabic. Major parts of IRK already contains Arabic, so why make it a whole different subject on its own. Instead of languages, i expected this administration to introduce more tech-based subjects into the curriculum. This policy is in all honesty wrong and should be reversed ASAP. Nevertheless, we should all be mindful of FFK and his ilks. They are politicians and surely have their strategies of causing division among us along ethnic and religious lines. |
