Melaye To Bello: Sell Kogi Properties, Meet Me In Court Tom Olasunkanmi The Senator representing Kogi West senatorial District, Sen. Dino Melaye has sent a strong warning to the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, advising him to stop his plan of selling monuments that belong to the state under the disguise of wanting to boost the economy of the state. This warning was contained in a Press statement issued by the legislator today. In the statement, Melaye said that "There is no gainsaying the fact that Kogi State is a civil service state. Although blessed with resources that remain untapped, the state has avoidably relies on allocations from Abuja to keep body and soul together over the years". "Despite a poor Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) profile occasioned by the foregoing coupled with bad governance syndrome, Kogi has remain one of the underdeveloped states of the federation irrespective of its natural endowments". Against this backdrop, he said it is unthinkable that the current state government under Governor Yahaya Bello will contemplate trading off what is left of Kogi's glory for momentary financial gains under the pretext of bolstering the state's finances. "I therefore urge the Kogi State governor not to sell, as planned, the following edifices or legacies built by the past administrations in the Confluence State as doing so will portray Yahaya Bello as a prodigal son of the state". "The state properties/legacies are Kogi House in Abuja; Mega Terminal Park; Kogi State Liaison Houses in Kaduna and Lagos; Commissioner Quarters; State Assembly Quarters; and Confluence Beach Hotel". "For the records, no past governor of Kogi State since inception contemplated selling the state's monuments or properties like the ones listed above and as bequeathed by successive administrations, hence Bello must listen to the voice of reason otherwise his prodigal decision will be challenged in court by me as a representative of the people" Melaye concluded. http://www.thetowncrier.ng/2018/02/06/sen-dino-to-bello-stop-the-plans-to-sell-kogi-state-properties-or-face-legal-action/

Senator Iyabo Obasanjo, first child of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has blasted apologists of the Muhammadu Buhari administration for recycling an old and settled issue with her father in defence of the former president’s stinging rebuke of the incumbent administration In a strongly worded statement issued to our reporter from her Virginia, United States base, Senator Obasanjo flayed the Buhari administration for dodging the fundamental issues of bad governance raised in the statement issued by her father, Dr. Obasanjo last Tuesday. Instead of drawing wisdom from the letter issued by her father, she expressed dismay at what she described as the cheap tactic of the Buhari apologists in drawing unconnected issues to run away from the “advice and admonishment of one of the most brilliant leaders to ever emerge in modern Africa.” In a strong disavowal of the recycled 2013 letter she wrote in the wake of President Obasanjo’s missive to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Senator Obasanjo affirmed no relationship with the Buhari administration nor with the preceding Jonathan regime. “The wise should listen, wherever help and advice come from. Those who republished the old letter should have spent time to respond to the content of the said statement,” Senator Obasanjo who served in the Nigerian Senate from 2007 to 2011 said. Senator Obasanjo, now a university professor based in Virginia, United States, in a statement sent to our reporter said: “My attention has been drawn to the republishing (in social media) of a letter from 2013 that has since been overturned by events. I am surprised that agents of the current Nigerian administration who should benefit from the advice and admonishment of one of the most brilliant leaders to ever emerge in modern Africa have resorted to a cheap tactic that further reiterates the message that they found abhorrent enough to start looking for unconnected issues to put together to make their point. “To say that Nigeria has problems is to make an understatement. The wise should listen, wherever help and advice come from. Those who republished the old letter should have spent time to respond to the content of the said statement which, among other things, called on President Buhari to join the rank of retired elder statesmen in 2019. I would think this was appropriate and even unnecessary advice, given the serious medical problems he has had over the last few years. “I have had no connection with his administration or to the previous one after I left the Senate in 2011, and to try and use me and my name as some excuse is shameful. I agree with the contents of the open letter and like all people that wish Africa well, hope that Nigeria someday comes out of its death spiral to become a leading nation in the world. “It is tiring to continue to be part of the Nigerian conversation when there is no positive impact to it. I really do not want to be part of it, as I have found over and over again that speech and words are wasted on people who have no understanding of the responsibility on us as black people on this planet.” http://www.thetowncrier.ng/2018/01/28/senator-iyabo-obasanjo-backs-father-blasts-buhari-denies-viral-letter-against-father-over-letter-to-buhari/ |
The Serial deception of Yahaya Bello. By Senator DINO MELAIYE Kogi Park built by Governor Wada’s goverment and commissioned by Gov Mimiko of Ondo State is one of the edifices painted to celebrate GYB’s 2 years in power and to be re- commissioned. Mrs Buhari is a respected woman and should not allow herself to be used in perpetuating corruption in Kogi State. https://www.thetowncrier.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/26903779_541649946213175_4372094467351891539_n-300x300.jpg We love her and will not want Kogi State government to rubbish her. Let her investigate my assertions. Kogi State Government have received over 200 billion naira in 2years and yet no 1 kilometer road to showcase or commission. Kogites keep faith, this too shall pass away. Every lie has an expiry date. The reign of Jebusites in Kogi is temporal and evaporative. In God alone we trust so we fear no soul. https://www.thetowncrier.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/26907539_541690376209132_7125050894819743524_n-225x300.jpg Imagine the intellectual stagnancy of Bello and his advisers. SENATOR DINO MELAIYE UNCOVERS MASSIVE FRAUD IN THE NNPC NNPC operates a secret account used for siphoning monies, currently has a balance of $137mllion,$4million has previously been withdrawn – Sen. Malaye Lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, has raised the alarm over alleged operation of a secret account by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and other joint venture companies. Melaye, who raised a point of order at the plenary on Tuesday, alleged that the account, which was supposed to be domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria, was with Keystone Bank, had no Bank Verification Number and had a balance of $137m as of today (Tuesday). He said, “While some individuals and government appointees will continue to steal, we have decided to continue to expose corruption in public life. “This morning, I call the attention of the Nigerian Senate to a suspected, colossal, monumental corruption in NNPC. “A company was registered with the name ‘Brass LNG Limited’ with the Federal Government having controlling shares. “We have some Italians, Belgians and French as shareholders, with the Federal Government with a controlling share of about 50 per cent. “It is a known fact that once you have a joint venture, the account of such joint venture will be domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria. “But in this case, that was not what happened. In private, the account was opened with Keystone Bank; this account has no BVN and there has been periodic withdrawals (from it). “The last withdrawal from the account was to the tune of $4m. As I speak to you, the balance of that account as of today is $137m.” President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, sought the permission of the lawmakers to allow Melaye to bring the matter up as a motion at the next legislative day, which was unanimously granted. Melaye was asked to move the motion on Wednesday (tomorrow). http://www.thetowncrier.ng/2018/01/23/senator-dino-melaiye-uncovered-massive-fra |
Idiot! What Hausa fulani dominance are you talking about? Fulani population is not even up to 500k in this region. Kogi, Kwara, Benue, Plateau, Southern Kaduna, Abuja don't have a single Hausa fulani as indigenes. Just take your nonsense away. |

surgical:Wise you say? If this is being wise to you, then you should have your mentality re-examined again and again and again until the fog clears off. |
Apart from her vjay, what else has she got to offer? Lying or fake life? To what end is this show of shame? Nobody asked her to do this and post online... why? To think that she was once married and later denied ever knowing the ex husband is even more shameful. What a low-classed mentality... |
This is really sad. What kind of mentality does this boy have? I think he lack self-esteem... This is quite shameful. |

This was aimed at deceiving Kogites, Mr. President and Nigerians at large. Recall that Mr. president lauded Lagos, Kebbi and Ebonyi state Governors on their strides in the agricultural revolution which was in line with his Government’s agenda. A worker who spoke to us on the condition anonymity said, the state government contracted out the branding of the bags in which they later filled with another rice they purchased through the back door. Even though some Kogites challenged the state government to show them the farmland on which the rices were cultivated, there was no response on the part of the state government. CORRUPTION HIT THE APC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN’s OFFICE https://www.austinokai.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/WhatsApp-Image-2017-12-15-at-11.01.32-AM-225x300.jpeg https://www.austinokai.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/WhatsApp-Image-2017-12-15-at-11.01.37-AM-225x300.jpeg Breaking News !!!!!! Cross River APC For Sale A Decampee Senator (name withheld) has revealed that the expected exercise to fill the position of State Chairman of APC in Cross River will never hold. According to our source, a whopping sum of sixty million was paid to the National Chairman of the party to help in perfecting the fraudulent plan. In his words: “The National Chairman called the Lawyer, Barrister Osim, to withdraw his suit filed in Court with a promise that the election for Chairman for State Party Chairman will never take place”. “The NDDC Boss who just came from the PDP to the APC wants to pocket the party at the state level, and this development is not favourable for the real APC members in Cross River State”. However, further research on the the story by an independent observer revealed that the National Chairman who approved November 9th 2017 as the date for the all congress the state refused to honor the agreed date after meeting with Senator Ndoma Egba and the sum of N60 million Naira exchanged hands. This development is to enable Senator Ndoma Egba pocket the party in Cross River State. Again another date, 28th November 2017 was fixed by the same National Chairman. INEC was fully informed and on that date came to witness the Congress. However, during the said congress, it was observed that the National Chairman called stakeholders to his house for a meeting to come up with a fallacious line clamouring for a consensus candidate. This attempt failed thus he (the National Chairman) promised to fix a new date within 48 hours. It is now over two weeks running yet the Chairman is yet to fix a new date as promised. What is wrong with the leadership sense of the APC chairman? He want to sell CRS APC? Is the state even ripe for APC take over? The answer is NO! Chief Odigie Oyegun is not novice to such controversy as he was accused of collecting the sum N50m bribe from Senator Andy Ubah of Anambra State to aid his emergence as the consensus governorship candidate. The plans that was however scuttled by public outcry. Nigerians must rise up and speak against the confused style adopted by the APC spearheaded by it’s National Chairman. Interested APC members MUST rise up and fight this ugly trend attempting to destroy our nascent democracy. http://www.austinokai.com/2017/12/14/corruption-scandal-rocks-the-apc-national-chairman-office/ |
