Politics › Re: Attempt By Bandits To Kidnap Turkish Students In Kaduna Foiled By Troops – Army by misterjosh(m): 10:24am On Mar 13, 2021 |
You claim to engage in gun fight with bandits attempting to kidnap students, miraculously none of the students sustained any bullet wounds, no report of casualties or injuries on the side of the army, also no reports of capture of any bandits, dead or alive. Now let's go back to Lekki toll gate saga, this was no gunfight, first you claimed to be at the scene with only rubber bullets, later switched to saying you actually had real bullets but shot in the air. We sad pictures and videos of supposed protesters with varying bullets wounds. Now let's compare both incidents, one the hand there was a claim of gunfight, yet no reports of injuries to any of the parties involved. One the other hand, only one party was armed, yet there were cases of gunshot wounds. I am not coming to any conclusions, just trying to make sense of both incidents. |

Simple solution; let each e-ticket have a barcode that contains registration details of the truck it's issued to. Task force members will be equipped with barcode scanners(this can even be done with mobile phones) to scan tickets at their various checkpoints. If 100 drivers like they should photocopy a single ticket, when the ticket is scanned the real owner of the ticket will be displayed. |

Politics › Re: FG To Sell Oil In Naira To Dangote Refinery by misterjosh(m): 1:12pm On Feb 28, 2021 |
QuotaSystem: Dangote's refinery will definitely be a game changer for the Nigerian economy.
What a genius strategy. Imagine a scenario where other African countries would be looking for Nigerian Naira in order to purchase Nigerian Petroleum Products. It would increase the organic demand for our currency thereby boosting its value significantly.
This does not make sense. There is no way Dangote's petrol would be more expensive because not only has the issue of landing cost been eliminated since we're no longer importing, but the market has also been deregulated (which is why we suffer price hikes whenever price of crude or USD rises).
You're right about elimination of subsidy which will save us significant amounts of money, but even greater benefits would come from saving millions of USD daily that would have been wasted to import refined petrol (a whopping 41% of our forex saved); further boosting our foreign reserves and the value of the Naira. The multiplier benefits from job creation and development of allied industries to support the refinery and petrochemical plant are better imagined.
Finally, the disgraceful economic anomaly wherein the 6th largest oil producer in the world is one of the biggest importers of petrol from less endowed countries, and continuously suffers whenever crude prices rise instead of enjoying the largesse like fellow oil producers, will finally come to an end thanks to Dangote's refinery. I wish him the best and I'm excited for Nigeria. We all thought production of rice locally would bring down the price of rice, but here we are today. I really hope same thing doesn't happen when the refinery starts operation in full. Look at this scenario, if other outside buyers come offering dollars for the same products that we local consumer want to pay naira for, who do you think will get top priority... I hope there will a policy in place that ensures local market is satisfied first, otherwise na one chance we go enter o. |

First concern is land, if you'll grow fodder that the cows will eat then you'll consider getting a larger space. Then comes selecting the right species to breed. You can learn a thing or two or YouTube. Then it'll be nice to have a veterinarian not too far than you can consult. All these are being said with the assumption that you have necessary funding available. |
