asiwaju87:You've totally summed it up! Exactment! |
Dear Op, i was once in your position. Friends, even some married women advised me against getting a car. But i ignored and went ahead to get a small saloon car. I believed the man meant for me can't run away because i have a car. Today, i'm happily married to the man of my dreams who is everything i want in a husband. My car is one of the cars we drive as a family. But here are some things i did: I never flaunted the car in his face while we dated I always let him drive while we were together with my car I never let his friends or anyone know the car is mine except he tells them himself I tried not to make him feel inferior cus i got a car before him So it all boils down to how you act with the car. Be humble and let your humility shine through all your riches. Never act bossy, else it sends the wrong message. |
tyconcepts:Jeez!!! There has to be a reason why this happened to her again. So sad |
Its mostly kids that will offer you advice here going by the comments i've been reading. Your girl has sensed you might want to get intimate with her, hence the reason she doesn't come alone. She doesn't want to be lured into having sex. If you assure her none of this will happen, she might stop coming with friends. There is no harm in discussing a matter together maturely, rather than towing the lane of "break up with her", "don't call her", "chase her friends". |
Iyabetajos:Welcome welcome welcome!!! ![]() As the class captain of #teamjuly i officially welcome you to the team, since you have decided to port from a silent member to an active member. Christmas has long been described as a traditional Christian festival to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Many of the customs used in this celebration, however, make us wonder how they came to be associated with Jesus’ birth in the first place. For one thing, there is the myth of Santa Claus. The modern-day jolly, white-bearded, rosy-cheeked, red-suited Santa is known to have been a successful Christmas advertisement created for a North American beverage company in 1931. During the 1950’s, some Brazilians tried to replace Santa Claus with a native legendary figure—Grandpa Indian. The result? Santa Claus not only defeated Grandpa Indian but even “defeated the child Jesus and became the official representative of the feast of December 25,” says Professor Carlos E. Fantinati. But are myths such as Santa Claus the only problem with Christmas? For the answer, let us go back to early Christianity. Santa Claus with a big bag slung over his shoulder “During the first two centuries of Christianity there was strong opposition to recognizing birthdays of martyrs or, for that matter, of Jesus,” states the Encyclopedia Britannica. Why? Christians viewed birthday celebrations as a pagan custom, something to be avoided altogether. In fact, no mention of the date of Jesus’ birth can be found in the Bible. In the fourth century C.E., despite the stand taken by the early Christians against the custom of celebrating birthdays, the Catholic Church instituted Christmas. The church wanted to strengthen its position by removing one of the main obstacles in its way—the popularity of the pagan Roman religions and their winter solstice festivals. Each year, from December 17 through January 1, “most Romans feasted, gamed, reveled, paraded, and joined in other festivities as they paid homage to their deities,” says Christmas in America, by Penne L. Restad. And on December 25, the Romans celebrated the birth of the Invincible Sun. Instituting Christmas on that day, the church cajoled many Romans into celebrating the birth of Jesus instead of the birth of the sun. Romans “were still able to enjoy the trappings of these midwinter festivals,” says Santa Claus, a Biography, by Gerry Bowler. In reality, they “continued to mark the new days with old ways.” Clearly, then, the main problem with Christmas celebrations lies in their unsavory origins. In his book The Battle for Christmas, Stephen Nissenbaum refers to Christmas as “nothing but a pagan festival covered with a Christian veneer.” Christmas, therefore, dishonors God and his Son, Jesus Christ. Is this just a trivial matter? The Bible asks: “What fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14) Like the trunk of a tree that has grown crooked, Christmas is so twisted that it “cannot be made straight.”—Ecclesiastes 1:15.

I used front line spray for my dog when it had ticks, tho they were not much |
- Train your dog not to litter the entire compound with poo - Pack the poo immediately it drops - Train your dog not to bark unnecessarily as it can be annoying to others - Sometimes allow your neighbors to play with your dog but never give them room to feed your dog else they might give your dog rubbish someday - Depending on the breed, keep your dog inside your house, as not every neighbor is dog-tolerant - Out of courtesy, always keep your dog under leash when its outside the house, even though you know it might not attack your neighbors I had my dog when i was staying in a self-contain and i did the above. If its a large dog breed, then it's a different ball game and others might have better advice to give |
Legally, yes he did nothing wrong. But morally, this is questionable. Normally, how long does it take a man to meet a lady and engage her? Months right? So this relationship started immediately after the wife's death? Okay, let's assume he did it for the kids as he claimed. Why is he flaunting it all over social media like its best thing that ever happened to him? Your wife and mother of two kids died just 4 months ago for Christs sake. Have some conscience. Even if you want to do this, keep it private, not paste it all over your social media accounts. Is your wife's best friend the only person that even care for your kids? Someone in your family can care for them for some months, pending when you finally decide on what to do. This is just too insensitive and suspicious, even if he didn't have a hand in the wife's death. Tongues will keep wagging and he'll always be addressed with one eyebrow raised. People make decisions without thinking with their brain. Anyway, its their cup of tea. |
@ajuwarhodes, assuming my sore boobs still continue join this morning sickness, i for protest o. I only experienced cramps in 3rd and 4th week, then sore boobs in 4th to 6th week. So begin dey jubilate say your own don stop. But if you're a worrying mama like me who dreads mc, go for a scan to appease your weak heart. But i'm sure your LO is just there in your belly laughing at you . |
ginababy:Battling with same ish. This is what i do... - Eat smaller portions at a time rather than heavy meals - Don't lie down immediately after eating - Eat lots of fruits, especially oranges everyday. I say eat, because you also have to eat everything inside the orange, besides the seed - Take lots of water. And if you can't bear taking water like me, take it very chilled or blocked. Its manageable that way - Chew food completely before swallowing - I also noticed some foods like rice and noodles make my constipation and discomfort more severe, so i stopped taking them. My constipation and bloating has reduced now. Please don't ever skip your routine drugs, your baby needs them badly. Pele |
pyyxxaro:You harsh o. Kai ![]() |
victorcalm:Please read the narration again sir, don't just skim through. I bet you'll modify your statement. |
If you are not very very close to a married person, don't expect them to always be in constant communication with you. Most times, they have too much on their plate. The women might even be battling with early symptoms of pregnancy, or trying to adjust to married life. Things can never be the same. U can also try and reach out to the married friend, instead of assuming they deliberately cut you off. Those married ones who deliberately cut off all single friends, na dem know wetin dey worry them |
Aim07:Congrats dear. Now book your space for #threadcuties sharp sharp ![]() |
OMG!!! @chinwendym that is one hell of experience to go through. Was literally shaking as i read your BS. The most important thing is that you and your LO are alive. That is God's gift to you that no one, no negligent doctor can take away. I pray no one else on this thread has to go through such trauma. We'll all have positive BS to share henceforth. Wish we can all find a day to visit you. You are a strong woman and mother. May Jehovah continue to protect you as you recover! |
