Good day mamas, please I need ideas and suggestions to try out on my kids. I’ve been trying to wean them since 6months but it has not been easy.. my babies are 12mnths + now.. they don’t like anything puree, pap and even Tom brown .. I have been trying to give them what I eat.. they just take bits of it here and there and that’s it.. the only thing they take well is cereals.. how do I make them eat adult food properly… I want to reduce cereals to mornings and night only.. things are expensive

Yes there is this fairness or glow it gives, there was a time I was living my baby with my mum , I did it for over 1 week and 1 day I realized my baby was looking bright and fair so I asked what they were rubbing on her and I was told it is ude aki, the oil isn't mixed with anything because I prepared it myself before delivery. So yes it makes babies bright especially on the face

The breasts are producing milk but in drops and my baby cries whenever she's tired of sucking and she's not getting enough. I had to express with hands into bottle for her(which is very tiring). I want to stop formula for EBF.. I'm tired sef as I don't know what to do..

Pele mama.. I totally understand the frustration too.. God will strengthen us.. trying expressing with an electric pump.. it’s easier.. you can supplement with formula for now till you can lactate very well then switch to EBF

You can take lactation treats (Rofemiguwa sells this) to boost supply, oats works too, eat solid foods like pounded yam, eba and fufu, drink lots and lots of water, like drink waterrrrr.
Then if you have a breast pump, pump for 20 minutes every 2h, it increases milk supply.

But give your babies formula so they don't get too hungry.

Thanks… I have eaten all these foods mentioned yet I feel I don’t make enough for 2 babies.. they are on formula but I’m trying to give them more breast milk.. pumping every 2 hrs now seem like an Herculean task because I’m still recovering from CS though I tried to breastfeed directly at least 3 times and pump at least 2 times a day

I currently use reliance for antenatal and hopefully delivery as well.. just ask them the hmo package they have available.. check what is covered and pick the one suitable for you.. not like pregnancy package.. there’s nothing like that. They have health plans that are covered in each category.. unless they’ve stopped covering pregnancy in their health plan which I doubt

since you react to chloroquine, you should have informed your doctor so they give you something else.

Are you registered for antenatal yet?? Your doctor is supposed to give you at the appropriate time! Pregnant women are supposed to be given anti malaria at least twice during pregnancy.. it’s part of the routine drugs just like tetanus injection.. And yes swidar is the branded one.. talk to your doctor.. might not be good for you if you react to any of the components.. like me.. I did react on my first dose so I wasn’t given again

Hmm, at 34 weeks+ my tired is already tired, I can't just wait to have LO in my hands. Wow, who else is experiencing this forgetfulness thing? I forget everything! Imagine going back to my book to check the spelling of "English Studies" while writing on the board! I have to sit in the kitchen till I finish cooking, if not burnt undone food is what I'll end up with. It is well oo..

I’m done with shopping o.. hospital bags packed and ready too! I’m having serious pelvic pain like my Vjay is on fire everytime I walk, sit or lie down.. I’m home bound for now.. I’m walking like a penguin.. the constant acid reflux na die.. keeps me awake almost all night.. honestly, can’t wait to see my LOs.. it seem like December is far sef.. Going for Elective CS early December by God’s grace

I am your partner in this too. Still in my first trimester though. I feel good too, just fatigue and the bitter taste in my mouth all day. Sometimes I overeat just to keep tasting something else. My upper palate has peeled from eating candy and gums don't help me.

I tested positive for malaria though and my mum said that's the reason for the bitter taste. Been treating it with herbs for 1 week now as both doctors I visited said I can't take malaria drugs. No improvement still.
I hope our seniors can advise. It's a terrible feeling.

You might have to see another doctor ooo.. there is malaria drugs that can be taken during pregnancy.. malaria is a high risk for pregnancy not to be joke with.. I’ve treated malaria twice and at no point did any doctor tell me I can’t take malaria drugs! Please make sure the herbs you are taken is safe ooo..
