The bars and restaurants aren't the problem, it's the mosques and churches.

They disturb you at 6 in the morning and then they disturb you again in the evening.

You claim that Buhari is fighting corruption but he is double spending on his health, firstly for the facilities in Abuja and secondly for in the forex that he squanders in London.

If he is sick let him be sick on his own time, as a private citizen.

A huge waste of "Stolen" resources!
£2 million? (..ie more than a billion Naira ). Not befitting of a mansion, from the exterior pics. There are many more beautiful houses here in 9ja that cost much less. To think of a myriad of ways that money could've bettered the lot of Nigerians? ..a typical case of "Money miss road"! undecided
Architecture in the UK tends not to be particularly charming or innovative, especially when it comes to homes.

Most of their houses are drab and outwardly retrogressive.

The Nigerian government will ask all d occupants of that place to vacate so they will demolish the building so that they can build a railway..

When will Nigeria ever mature ?
And that is why I keep stating that Nigeria does not need any of these useless traditional rulers.

What have any of them done for Nigeria's development?

All they do is leach from the people without offering anything in return.

Exactly! There's something inherently wrong Nigeria and it's leaders. Is there nobody of vision who can bring up the initiative of decongesting Lagos by carrying out meaningful projects in other states?
Calabar > Lagos.

A lot of meaningful projects have been built in Cross River state.

And it is more secure than Lagos.

With the way people do business online there's no reason why you need to be in Lagos 7 days a week.

You would be shocked at the level of development in the state. I learnt Abdulsalam got the Minna-Abuja road contract and messed it up. Am very surprised when they didn't lobby for the International Airport to be shifted to Minna temporarily.
They're still better than the people who come from Katsina.

Calabar, Enugu and Owerri have finer outlook than Port Harcourt but Uyo does not. Where in Uyo is fine or do you mean roads?
The roads are in important part of the aesthetic besides that consider the area around the government house which is finer than the area around its equivalent in Port Harcourt.

Also compare Uyo stadium to that in Port Harcourt.

Calabar has less money and is much finer than Port Harcourt. As well as safer.

Uyo has only just come into money, again it is much finer than Port Harcourt.

In a way he was right
A colonial policy indeed was in place.
Sanusi made mention of it one time
Sanusi also said that $47 billion was missing from state coffers...

The colonial authorities did not stop them from educating their children that was their own stupid thinking.

Instead of having your child recite a book written by an Arab who was probably a schizophrenic teach them mathematics. Mathematics is universal. It wouldn't impede on their religious mythology in any way and would provide them with the foundation to be engineers. They elected not to.

I understand your point but just because something is given to you does not mean that need to accept it. Especially when it clearly does not work in your favor.

There are more peasants than emirs. The people of the north have shown a peculiar willingness to kill southerners and infidels for the pettiest of reasons (such as comments made about beauty contests or cartoons drawn in Denmark) why then do they refuse to force their useless leaders to feel their wrath? Why can't they use that same violence to bring about real change to their society?

That aboki character is a liar.

It was Buhari who was saying it would be wrong to treat Boko Haram like the terrorists that they are.

It was the local people who emboldened and fortified Boko Haram by supplying them with food, fuel and shelter from the security forces.

Not one lie was told!
He lied that the colonial policy is the reason for a lack of education in the north.

They rejected anything that might lead people to question Islam so there were fewer mission schools established in the north. That wasn't because of the colonial powers, that was the northern elite working against the interests of the society (as per usual).

That they couldn't find a way to ensure that their people were formally educated without of their own accord is a damning indictment of the northern power structure.

95% of the Head of State in 9ja came from the North...

Still they lack in Education, infrastructure etc...

The Northern Leaders are greedy and wicked... Accumulating wealth just to be like gods in the sight of their herdsmen..

They will rather give them cows and guns than to train them in school....

That man said some "NONSENSE "...

How can 9ja be like China or the Soviet Union when some section of the country in this 21st Century still parade the streets (even commercial places) with cows and sheepshuh

In a civilised country, a farmer or cattle rarer whatever they are called must have a RANCH... The animal will never cross their property...

The problem of the North is their leaders...
The problem of Nigeria is the North...

Other Regions can't do a thing about it because countries like America, England, France etc are with the Northerners... The people they can control...

Nigeria is a time bomb...
The leaders are a result of the culture, therefore all who keep the culture alive are culpable. Not just the leaders but the everyday people.

Everyone from the parents who send their children to mallams to be abused and forced to beg; to the parents who sell their daughters into sexual slavery known as Islamic child marriage. If they did not have so many children to fend for the people might have more energy and inclination to hold their wicked leaders to account. Unfortunately whenever the issue of child marriage or family planning are raised it is the common people who kick against it.

And lest I remind you it was the common people who sheltered and fed Boko Haram members just as it is the common people who are stealing food from IDP camps.

Unfortunately he still has d lazy, socialist mentality and expects allocation from the central federal government.

What is that crap? Where will d FG draw d funds to share as allocation from? Is it not from d regions? Why should a group of people commandeer resources not theirs and redistribute by whatever sharing formula? The regions should be self reliant and then contribute to the centre an agreed percentage.
This is a very confused man.

Besides that nonsense he also said this:

"There may be aspects of it that are progressive. For instance, the call for restructuring. This is an incidental thing, and we should pursue it, but not as a result of the national conference. The confab should be dismissed because it is irrelevant. It has nothing to do with the aspirations of Nigerians, and it has nothing to do with the destiny of Nigerians."

I'm glad that he recognizes the educational imbalance but beside that he doesn't want anything introduced or acknowledged that would force him or his kin to really examine themselves.

He had a lot of negative things to say about GEJ but refused to mention the fact that it was under his administration that the Federal Government attempted to redress the balance as a result of the fecklessness of the north.

You keep changing the topic, now it's about herdsmen and IDP food. Do you even know who is called an elite? Elite stealing IDP food? For real? If criminal elements put in charge distributing food iIDPs divert and mismanage it that's a different topic. Most of the aid donations are actually handled by international organizations like red cross and WFP. A few trucks may be stolen by store keepers and others in charge of the food. So how can an acclaimed elite who control the country at large steal trucks of food?
From Sokoto to Zamfara to Kaduna to Niger to Benue to FCT to Ekiti and many more there are hundreds of Fulani herdsmen who have been arrested for one crime other, buy I believe you mischievously decided to ignore that.
I never said we support PMB'S administration because he is a northerner, no! it's because of what he is achieving. If people can support and still depend GEJ'S administration they should actually be throwing parties for PMB'S. Unless of course your don't know what a country really need. Embezzling foreign exchange when crude oil was selling above $100 a barrel didn't irk you but the consequence of their lack of prudence which only happen to to manifest now you heap the blame on PMB.
Left for people like you we shall still be importing everything at the detriment of our national development, just because you want to buy rice at N8k per bag.
Lastly go check history, the north never wanted one Nigeria, and made the point on several occasions. But your leaders from the south hungry for power fame and wealth coerced and convinced the north to stay. The initial arrangement where every region governs itself was the only condition north gave in order to be part of one Nigeria.
Up till today, people like Junaid Muhammad have made it clear the north is ready for break up. Personally I believe it's the best option for everyone. But none of you is serious about breakup. They have not even taken the the right direction for break up.
You are a liar and a terrible historian.

You are the only person who thinks that Buhari has achieved anything.

It was certain governors who wanted the excess crude oil funds in their pockets - some of whom are now in GMB's government or at least his greatest supporters.

The North did not want independence but they did not want the south to become independent and for them to remain a colony so we ended up with 'Nigeria'. The British would not allow southern Nigerian to become independent when asked in the 1930s and 1940s. Even today the North is not ready to be independent.

Anything that is progressive, such as a real census, fiscal federalism, an age limit to marriage, family planning is kicked against by northern elements.

I am glad that you can see that the best option is to break up. No one needs an albatross around their neck when trying to run forward.
