I wish Jonathan had the balls to declare shoot on sight on those Boko Haram bastards during his tenure, just like Obi did on MASSOB in Anambra. Even Buhari doesn't have the balls.

A man without balls has no business with being a leader. Leadership in its true sense involves being unbiased, polite and ruthless.

Buhari is not unbiased, polite or even ruthless. Buhari is simply docile, passive and wishful. Obi was a man in full control of situations.

TonyeBarcanista be smart.

Love her for who she is undecided
Who the fvck is she? Mary Slessor or Margaret Thatcher?

Why should a sane man love a girl deflowered with just noodles and egg?

No sensible man should be excited spending huge finances on bride price and wedding for a girl deflowered with meat pie and Fanta.
What the fûck

2 million naira a month for someone living in Lekki isn't exactly as large as some of us think it is.
Oga, Lekki is not New York or even Ghana. Lekki is in the same garbage can called Lagos.

The only expensive thing to worry about in Lekki is rent, which he can very clearly afford. Every other thing can be gotten cheaper from mainland every other weekend.

Enough of all these "Lekki is very expensive". So many things are more expensive in Benin and Portharcourt than in Lagos. Those who have travelled well will tell you.

It's all about perception, budgeting and planning.

Throwback:
You are yet to govern after your victory in a rural state, you are already casting aspersions at a Governor of a megalopolis who is delivering?

It would have been better if it was Davido's father that contested on behalf of the family after the late Isiaka Adeleke who was also Governor.

Ade the dancer is that blacksheep of the family who was idling away while his brothers were building on the legacy of their father who was Senator in the 2nd Republic.

Honestly, many of us across the different political parties know that this Dunce is empty upstairs and cannot amount to anything inspiring. He only has his family name to thank and the lack of political interest by the more worthy Deji Adeleke - Davido's father.

I hope the people of Osun can dance very well because they have a long dance ahead of them till 2026.

I do not expect Ade the dancer to outshine his musician son B-Red in their dull capacity to their respective vocations.
You don't know anything about leadership. Dancing is his hobby. We all have our hobbies. Try and be open minded

EducationRe: FG Committee Recommends ₦ 2 Millions Monthly Pay For Professors by ModCaller: 6:49am On Jul 15, 2022
tony0806:
2,000,000 monthly grin

As at 2019, Nigeria had about 11,877 professors (though this include both those on private and public higher institutions).

That means; monthly, the government will pay 2,000,000 x 11,877 = 23,754,000,000. That's over twenty three billion naira monthly.

As at today, Nigeria produces about 1.2m BPD of crude oil (Our main source of income, excluding mineral resources from the north which I don't know why they don't mention it. Only God knows where that money is going to). Using the official exchange rate of about 414 naira, that's a total income of 1,200,000 x 414 = 496,800,000.

THEN; 496,800,000 x 30 days = 14,904,000,000. This is approximately Fifteen billion naira FROM CRUDE OIL MONTHLY (Nigeria's income from crude oil).

Summarily, the nations income (from crude oil) AS AT TODAY CAN'T settle ASUU's demand. This draft proposal is just for academic staff salaries oooo. We've not mentioned other items.

SSANU, Non academic staff, etc have not been mentioned oooo.
Other government establishment have not been mentioned oooo.

Anyway, the government has enough money. Else, where are they getting money to pay NPOWER between 12 to 15 billion monthly? What of the one they said they share to the poorest people in Nigeria monthly, etc.

I'll come back to modify my comment later

Mynd44:
He didn't lie sha.
The country is wrongly structured. You won't even get the chance to talk about any of those things in a badly structured country. It's common sense. Nigeria has some serious structural errors that must be corrected.

Why hasn't the electricity problem been fixed in decades? You think those presidents didn't try? You think Buhari and Osinanjo are just stupid and have not tried to do something about it?

We'll never solve the electricity issue without restructuring. Only governors can solve that problem, not FG. Governors currently don't have the power to do many very important things, even insecurity. This has paralysed this country.

Please, this screen on time is confusing me. The thing is dropping seriously.

As at 1% and my phone was about to off in 30 seconds, my screen on time was showing 7+ hours. That is from 9+ hours to 8+ hours to 7+ hours

US is fueling that Ukraine crisis. US is doing what they do best. US is throwing money at Ukraine literally every month to look like the good Samaritan and keep market sentiment on the side of USD. It's all a long con. We're seeing some outcome of that con. Even encouraging and blackmailing EU countries to make decisions that can literally annihilate them economically. Until these European NATO nations realized that they're just tools in the toolbox of US, US will keep using them to pull long cons. USD was the first long con US pull off successfully on the whole wide world. Now this.

The R10C is a phone I have reviewed and written about. It may have some issues but battery life is absolutely not one of them.
My SoT is decreasing. From 9+ hours I posted earlier. It's now 8+ hours. I thought it should be increasing, not decreasing

I have not charged it since I charged it full yesterday afternoon.

SoT 9 hours at 2%. Very light usage.

I'm waiting for the phone to off so that I can do the calibration recommended.

Attached is the my screen on time for today (8hrs+) The time is at the top. Device: RN9 Pro. Age: 2 years.

My 2 year old phone gives me 9hrs of SoT.

I am a heavy user myself so I no understand how other people use their phones.

Advice:

1. Charge to 100, drain to zero and charge back to 100 with the phone off. This is known as battery calibration.

2. Force restart your device. Hold the power button till the phone vibrates and restart. This should clear persistent apps running in the background.
I'll do this and give feedback. Thanks

how many hours of screen on time do you get from the phone
Not something I can estimate. Because some hours will pass and I will only press the phone for less than 10 minutes per hour. Just to check Nairaland front page.

The longest time the phone has lasted between charge is a day and half of light usage. My GPS is always off except an app I'm using requires it.

The battery drains seriously even when I'm not using it. That is my main concern.

I don't stay up to 5 minutes in any of those apps. I just breeze in and out because I don't have any time consuming task in those apps.

I have restricted all of those downloaded apps from running in background except WhatsApp in a bid to reduce the battery consumption. Yet it continues.

I have checked and checked and checked and checked. I don check tire. Before factory resetting my phone, I restricted all the apps on my phone except WhatsApp. But that did not solve the problem.

I don't have games in this phone. Never watched movie with it. I use it the same way I used my Itel S15. With the same apps. Yet, this battery life I'm getting is very annoying. 5000mah is almost double 3000mah. Yet, my S15 lasts longer

I factory reset my phone about an hour ago so I'm still trying to see changes.

Xiaomi seriously need to do something about this battery life of a thing. I don look for solution tire.

If I restrict an app from running in the background, to my surprise, I still receive notifications from that app and I see them running in the background.

Left my phone at 97% before sleeping. Woke up this morning with 93%.

As I'm typing this, the battery is 68%.

I have not watched movie or played any music today. All I've been doing is chatting and browsing. Most times, I'm not even using the phone.

In fact, once I press the phone small, 1% will leave the battery is few minutes.

The battery capacity is 5000mah. Even my Itel S15 that has 3000mah doesn't drain this fast.

I just bought this phone in the 3rd week of June.

This is very frustrating. The phone is fully updated.
Battery has dropped to 67%. I've not even used the phone for anything.
