They are their own problem. When the military commanders of 3 major ethnic groups mutinied to kill their Generals cos they were corrupt, The Yoruba and Hausa pulled through but the Igbos let their own brother slip away hence coup d'etat. This is one of the reasons they have been kept at bay. So when they talk about trust... I just smile |

BabaRamota1980: Powerbike (also called Ninjabikes) are for showing off...you cruise and show off your swag. They are not racebikes, they do not have the weight ratio needed for tearing through the air at fast speed due to their drag coefficient, as such the risk increases exponentially with additional squeeze of the throttle and combustion and their crash is always fatal.
If you plan on racing your bike, first thing first, take it to an experienced bike shop to give it additional weight and bring balance and torque at speeds over 100km/h.
Remember, its safer to cruise your bike than it is to race it. balderdash!!! You obviously know nothing about powerbikes, undoubtedly nothing about anything that runs on wheels. You don't even know the definition of cruising...an i4 car can conveniently cruis at 80 km, while a v6 car at 110km/h and a v8 at 130km/, now.. Tell me a Kawasaki ninja h2r can't cruise at 200km/h
The kawasaki Ninja h2 and h2r is a street legal bike clocking 400km/h in 26 sec, it is lightweight with reinforced super aerodynamic carbon fiber body parts.
The only thing is know when and where to put it down.

nurey: Thanks for this but I don't intend reaching there at all.
I hope to follow the papalanto-ilaro road and I will connect it through sagamu interchange where nestle new plant is located. I saw it on Google maps a public transport has taken me through that road in 2009 to link the old road when the IBM Lagos express was blocked then.
But I have only transverse it once, it's a straight highway as shown by Google map but I don't know how far about it That sagamu road is the shortest route but that road is terribly bad you'd bite your finger enroute it, if you like make your vehicle be F150 Raptor with military grade dampers, you'd regret it. Just follow Abeokuta -itori-Ewekoro to Papalanto. Imaging doing gear1-2 from Nestle to Papalanto. Road so bad dangote truckers are crying. So bad... Dangote is begging to fix it. |
Car Talk › Re: Anybody Here That Transverse To The Dangote Ibese Plant? I Need Help by modsRbastard: 5:32pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
nurey: thanks for this, my point 0 is ikoyi, i prefer to follow the papalanto route but intend to connect it through the sagamu interchange rather than follow the old lagos abeokuta express, because the lagos-Ibadan express is always free and good roads. what do you think about this route sir? OK...Sagamu to Ibara head towards GT bank, take a left right beside GT bank, head straight towards OPIC building, do 120° around OPIC and head towards the overhead bridge, take the overhead bridge and head straight down to the big roundabout, take a left and exit at your right towards the traffic light, keep right as you'd have to exit at the light to your right to take the Ogun bridge. Going straight down, take the roundabout to your left and face the old lagos road straight through Aro psych hospital. Your next stop is itori, lookout for FRSC office on your right and a big Julius Berger sign on the other side of the road, that's a sign you're near itori. Take The small bridge ahead carefully... It's bad than you'd anticipate. Cruise down to the next U-turn and you're in itori. Before that Uturn is a complex off the lagos old road to your right, the road beside it was fixed by dangote... At this point... You'd see lots of dangote trucks, take the road straight down to the T junction then a left... Follow the empty dangote trucks or ask. I hope this helps and Godspeed. |
Car Talk › Re: Anybody Here That Transverse To The Dangote Ibese Plant? I Need Help by modsRbastard: 3:57pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
The papalanto route: it's a straight drive from sango like you're heading to Abeokuta but a big crossroad (+) just before Lafarge cement factory, then you take a left turn heading towards Lanto.. Traffic isn't heavy on this road, except for sango and depends on workers hour.
Ita-Oshin route: entering from from Shagamu through ibara, exit Abeokuta through brewery. Head straight through Lagos Abeokuta expressway, the last roundabout before Aro psych hospital is a single carriage road to your right. I can't vet this road... Don't even try it.
Can I ask where your point 0 is? |

Timelezz: Typically correct. "How are you" is a condescending form of greeting or reference.
The greeting of course is borrowed form England and its usage knows no class or strata but the application in Nigeria is different. That's what most of our "Akata" brothers who like to appear more western than westerners don't get. My brother!, it weakens me when I see people like the OP. ziga: It is not by force to speak English.
The people that created the language are not offended by the phrase "how are you"
If it offends non-English speaking people, avoid communicating in that "disrespectful language"
And let us stick to our highly respectful Epele saaah.
On a side note, it is funny how Nigerians talk about respect, especially because President Buhari is around 70 and people who are not even half his age are so disrespectful when they talk about him. Or even our past Presidents.
Hypocrisy in our culture Bro... I wonder why all this... I don't know who, wants to drive what's left of our culture into extinction. I'm telling you...if you tell a typical elite yoruba man "how are you?", expect no lesser repose than "yi o bà yá ę" (your mom must be silly), sé o nbón si ni abi oun gó si?(are you getting wiser or more retardedd?) and sé wón kó ę ni, abi o duró gba ékó (weren't you trained/cultured or you didn't wait to be trained/cultured). OP just don't try that thing with any Yoruba elder, it's Well indulged across the Niger. |

boborosky: As far as I know, there is absolutely nothing wrong with saying that. However, somethings must be added. One of the things is, your attitude. You must be very polite and let the essence of saying that be truly clear. Secondly, I add, Ma or Sir. I do so in a respectable manner that clearly shows that I care about you and therefore want to know how you are doing. e.g Good Morning Ma, (response - good morning), How are you (doing) Ma? (fine my son). Another example is come on (C'mon). This phrase has been bastardized far too much. Na come on you still see... It is only in Nigeria that "my friend!" is neither used in a pleasant nor friendly way. I.e Me: my friend! Let this be the first and the last time you ever step Foot in my compound. |
