Solmax: I wonder how a so called MAN would do such evil to a Woman he claims to love as his girlfriend. She was lucky he missed her major veins. Major Arteries you mean especially the carotid artery that carries oxygenated blood to the brain, cos he sure didn't miss some veins. Artteries carries oxygenated blood away from the heart while the veins carry deoxyginated blood back to the heart; Hence arteries more delicate than veins. Wish her quick recovery. |

ibibiofirstlady: I don't think you have experienced seeing the girl you love just walk away Been there, different scenerio. It's one of the most traumatic and psychologically depressing moment. Hence why i said it's hard enough that she had to leave but cheating to facilitate the leaving is the salt to injury. Look...I've loved and I've lost. Dated a beautiful girl who sees through my BS, we stood by each other for 7yrs of a blissful relationship. I was privileged to make her a woman... If you know what that means; but I had to let her go when when I realized I couldn't give her what she wanted at the moment; tho she told me she would wait for me cos I had only graduated at the time; but depression took her over with mounting pressure from her family and friends to marry cos she wasn't getting any younger. I love her so much but I couldn't bear the thought of bringing a child into this world without a better life than I have. I promised my unborn child they would have it easy when they come so I refuse to rush into that matrimonial life. Today.... She's married and she calls me once in a while, but she's still very bitter that we part and blames me for it but I don't blame her cos I understand. I keep my emotions from her cos I want her heart be with her husband. |

ibibiofirstlady: How many men can handle breakup? I do, I did handle it. Don't know how much more I can take. I don't know why people have to cheat for a breakup. If you're tired of the relationship just simply put it out and go your way. It's hard enough that you have to leave...don't add salt to injury. Meanwhile... Your comment only affirms that men are more committed and love more in relationship...if not, why would it be so hard to handle a breakup. |

Kellibae: my sister i guess dat ur brother lives in yorubaland. dats why the parents allow theor daughter which is still rare.
my brother dated a yoruba gal for over 2years only for her mum to crash it wen they are abt discussing marriage. my brother cried profusely almost lost his mind. neva sleep in d house neva eat. it took grace of God to bring him back to order.
ridiculously about few months later a yoruba guy started following me around with their his sweet lying mouth lol.
but guess wat wanted sex but aint getting it.. but when i knew i had to cut it off. *fixed* Cheating and lying is not peculiar of any tribe nor race...it is an individual thing. I dated an Ibo girl for nearly 2yrs, turns out all she wanted was my money and the good life, I didn't mind that cos I loved her dearly, who else would help me spend my money if not my family and my spouse...Then She did the unforgivable and she woke my Demon. |

dungburu: Most Yoruba mothers frown at their sons hooking up with an igbo lady. Each time I make a call in English to a lady, my mother would say "Ma gbe omo Ibo wa fun mi o, ti o ba fe ki n Se adura fun e" meaning " Don't bring an Igbo girl to my house if u really want my blessing"
I don't blame them anyway, because most Igbo ladies are not submissive enough as far as yoruba culture is concern. Yoruba mothers would expect their daughter inlaw to great them with their two knees on ground which is not obtainable in Igbo culture.
My grand mum do tell me same thing in Ekiti dialect " Mo gbe omo gudu eveni a si be o" meaning " Don't bring good evening wife to me" because it is assumed that good evening is the mode of greeting inlaws among Igbo ladies as they can't speak yoruba. True this; yet hilarious |

missvera: This was able to happen bcs the woman must have some traits of Yoruba culture in her. You said she speaks Yoruba fluently. It's either she was born in the west or started living there at a very tender age. 90 percent of Yorubas don't marry other tribes. Marry whoever you find love in. Let's say no to tribalism, we are Nigerians. I agree with every other thing you said except the emboldened. Yorubas are one of the major tribes that marries out of their tribe, if not top of that list. But like you said, let's kill tribalism and be just one race ==> HUMAN RACE |

@ OP. Those excuses may not be far-fetched;
an average Ibo girl raised in the East irrespective of how exposed she is will most likely be skeptical/ not marry a Yoruba man cos she's afraid she's going into a family where she'd have to depend on her hubby to translate before she could understand a thing been said, this isn't her big worry but the inability to decipher when she's the topic of a discuss/gossip.
Ibo girls are also worried for what her surrounding community might say. an average ibo man is still bitter about the July 6 1967 event so much that they instill it in their offspring that Yorubas are the Devil himself.
If you see any Ibo girl marrying a Yoruba man, know that she's spent a substantial amount of her life down West and same goes for any Ibo man who does. Reason being that, they're better exposed and have a re-orientation of who the Yorubas really are. |

There are better way to pass across your message without resulting to insult. You however, do not even have a message to pass across.
She has earned the right to reject a poor guy. And yes, she won't be the last woman to have standards. If it was a rich dude who made such statement, you lot would come up with a zillion reasons to affirm his claim.

niggereyez: well, judging from the hands and feet, there are obvious birth deformities. .. The face and eyes are looking photo-shopped to me oh... Anyway... I wish both mother and baby well Actually.. The eyes are formed inside out, it's no photos hop, it's real. The rear condition deprives the skin the ability to retain water so the baby is constantly shedding skin, hence the scaly body. Darn! I'm shocked this excerpt from the trailer mortal kombat rebirth is happening here |
