BigBashiru:I don't know how many European, Asain nd American ountries you have been to, but from all indications, you're ignorant. |
ictjobber:Black people?? Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Namibia...... Just to name a few. What exactly is your point?? Blame your country and leave others. |
femmoy:Not at the moment..... |
I believe you can date someone in the same company, provided its a large establishment whereby both of you never get to see each other at all, and you have completely different departments. For example, if you're head of fleets, and she is head of marketing. You guys have nothing to do together, especially if the company have about 500 - 1000 staff member. However, all this mushroom company with 10-80 workers.... Don't date in such environment. |
[quote author=shegzhkn post=101107430]oh really but what i do hear is kinda different. You cannot compare the quality of the system there to the ones in Nigeria. Especially professional courses say Engineering or Medical Science that is done completely wrong in Naija, help me understand how they do stuff like that.[/quote) I wouldn't say completely wrong, however, we are not on the same level. its highly practical and more advanced in the west, far advanced. However, isn't it the same graduate from Nigeria winning the best graduating students in the U.S and U.K, etc?? Put your mind to success and work towards it. We have so many Nigerian Doctors doing exploit oversea and they all had their first degree from Nigeria. |
shegzhkn:Yes it does. What they usually do is that they evaluate your results (class of degree/transcript) so that they can convert it to theirs and see where you stand. Having said that, you need to be able to prove yourself, thats the essence of going to school in the first place. Your best bet is to do a certificate/certification courses in your field whenever you're out of naija. That helps greatly. |
generationz:Sorry you couldn't comprehend, or perhaps you were out of words..... Enjoy your day. |
generationz:Do you know the meaning of formal education?? Secondly, Jayz you mentioned attended George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School with rappers The Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes. Is that not a formal education?? From my research, 90% of world billionaires had a formal education before they became billion, Dangote included. By the way, I never said going to school is everything, however, its the ultimate legacy. Musk wouldn't have achieved Tesla without the physics he studied. You made mention of professor's. Do you realise some people just want to be in the education field?? Thats their dream, they are not in it for the money, by the way, most of the worlds grand breaking discovery in science, technology etc are pioneered by professors, some of those grand breaking discoveries are worth billions of dollars. We have thousands of professors and scientists working for NASA, engineering, medicines and other agencies that the world depends on today. What do you think would have happened to the world today without the professors, engineers, those in the medical field, etc Education is the ultimate my friend. |
samwash:You're right boss. |
samwash:Femi Adesina and Ngozi Iweala comes to mind. Look at all the Nigerians in Bidens cabinet, they all have advanced degree. I have met several citizens of English speaking countries on the plane, and they could not fill their immigration forms. One particular gentleman said to me that he has never been to prison all his life. I was so confused, so was he. He was so terrified and almost in tears. I asked him to calm down and tell me what the problem was. He said they are asking for "Cell No" on the form. I had to tell him it means your telephone number sir. He was so relieved. Some can't spell their own name and country, despite the fact that its written on their passport. Thats why big celebrities go broke after some years, their finances were stolen and mismanaged. Mike Tyson lost so much because of this. The disadvantage of not being educated is too much burden to bare. |
senatrpaichulo:You can school in your state of residence, whil you do your business on the side |
Bill Gates enrolled at Harvard College in 1973 to study pre-law but also studied mathematics and took a graduate-level computer science course. He left Havard after two years. He is not an illiterate, he had a formal education. After high school, Vitalik B attended the University of Waterloo. There, he took advanced courses and was a research assistant. The richest man in the world today, Jeff Bezos, does have a degree and from a very prestigious university. He graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Alon Musk graduated with an undergraduate degree in economics and stayed for a second bachelor's degree in physics. After leaving Penn, Musk headed to Stanford University in California to pursue a PhD in energy physics. Mark Zuckerberg Due to his early signs of success, his parents got him a computer programming tutor while he was still in high school, and they enrolled him in a prep school in New Hampshire. After graduating from prep school, Zuckerberg enrolled at Harvard University. He left Havard after is sophomore year to focus on Facebook. Benard Arnault, the third richest man in the world, graduated from the École Polytechnique in Paris with a degree in engineering. Warren Buffett graduated from the University of Nebraska at 19 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Although rejected by Harvard, Buffett went onto Columbia University, where he earned a Master of Science in economics in 1951. All these Billionaires with dropout story had a formal education. Don't be deceived. |
Quelme:You're right, same way Isreal of the 90s is not the same as Isreal of 2021. |
LockDown69:You're right, it got a facelift. They installed a bigger grill of a newer version to an older version suv. More like P. I. M. P..... Nice ride all the same. |

Ajibade123:I never said they are not. But sooner or later, Ecommerce will push them down. |
SmartyPants:Lol... Guess you have nothing sensible to say. Enjoy your day. |
Kingcalls:Did you read were i said tech and other businesses? Tech by the way doesn't necessarily mean you need equipments.... For example, why il i want to spend 10 hours in traffic when i can easily order the product from the comfort of my office and home?? Things are changing, you don't have to leave Nigeria, however, equip yourself with modern businesses. And for the record the world is changing trade to become more technologically driven. |
Kingcalls:Securing your future with some square shops. You had better leave Nigeria and see the world of young entrepreneurs in different fields and not just tech. Wake up niqqa. How many people does that shop employ in a year? Am talking about young entrepreneurs employing 30 - 70 people with a minimum pay of $2,000 monthly. Wake up buddy. Very soon, E-commerce will take over those businesses completely. |
SmartyPants:Lol.... You must be kidding right?? There is a difference between college degrees and a masters degree. Just about 30% of Americans have a Bachelors degree, mind you, the average college student is 26.4 years of age. So tell me why they are not surprised?? I don't think you understand the American Education system. |
seanwilliam:That is not my point. My point is, educated entrepreneurs are not limited to a square metre shop. I have a business of my own outside Nigeria, and i am working on a App which I cannot talk about here. Thank you. |
VTJN:Social worker is very very lucrative, especially if you have a certificate in public health or something. Its almost impossible for a social worker to be out of job in the U.S |
Kingcalls:It takes a great mind and exposure to be a tech entrepreneur. Most of this boy boy you see in Alaba never progress globally. Their business starts and ends there. Thats the difference. Every tech entrepreneurs and business owners i have met in my travels have at least a Bachelors degree, also they are able to source for funding of over 1-2 million dollars effortlessly. I can put my business plans into paper and slides and sale it to an investor in Hong Kong, USA, U.K and be eloquent enough for any investor to want to invest, can you say same for someone in Alaba. I am not against people selling in Alaba, however, thier projections are limited by thier environment. |
poiunt:Every course is relevant, that is why the University went through several years of research before setting up a department or a course. The problem is Nigeria. Social Work is a very very lucrative course, however, it doesn't ring a bell in Nigeria. Does that make it irrelevant Absolutely not.Same way most of the engineering courses are useless in Nigeria due to lack of practical experience. Does that make it irrelevant No.... Nigeria is a different kind of society. |
The problem is not with having a degree, the problem is your damn fucking country........... An American once asked how we managed to get a masters at 27, i told him if we had left Nigeria at a young age, we would have had our Ph. D by 27. They understand and value your ability to go through school. |
oluwaahmed:There are different types of Armoured trucks. You Use the tyres based on the use and the terrain. Some tyres are not for off roads. You use those big off road tyres for traction on unpaved surfaces such as loose dirt, mud, sand, or gravel. From the pictures below, the SWAT Armoured truck have a similar tyre to the proforce the op posted, that's because it will be used on tarred/paved surface. While the other picture is another Proforce Armoured truck with bigger off-road tyres. You don't put big tyres on emergency Armoured trucks that will be used on smooth surfaces. That will affect its speed and handling. There are Proforce trucks with bigger and studier tyres too. However, the purpose of an Armoured truck determines the size and type of tyres that will be used.
|
Sammology:Thats a SWAT Armoured Truck down there. What were you guyz expecting A Range Rover Autobiography kinda Shape??Joke is on you Niqqa
|
JaceBlaze:Business. |
JaceBlaze:You're right, however, i don't think foreigners are lazy to book a return flight, they just want to enjoy what Mzanzi has to offer. I am in South Africa though. |
Cakhama:Yea....... Nice piece. Are you in Mzanzi? |
080bjaked:Yea. Just that tourism is dull at the moment. I do a bit of tourism too. But it's as dry as winter for now. |
heendrix:You're absolutely right. |
