Isidingo was also my favourite a million years ago but when it was canned I couldn't be bothered. I lost interest in Generations when they fired the entire cast , haven't watched a single episode since. Never watched Uzalo.

My South African TV staple is now on Moja Love and the BBC channels (Come Done with Me, etc).

But anyway, we've derailed this Maiduguri thread enough for today, I'm moving on. At some point please share your experience of Joburg in one of my latest threads - Johannesburg Tourism. Just check out my profile.

Marshalltown around Ghandhi Square is being transformed though, it's looking very nice these days. But most parts of the CBD suck though, even the ones that were refurbished are deteriorating again. Its the overpopulation that's to blame.

Yeah, the small town environment is cool to a limit for me, that's why I always escape to Joburg to rejuvenate, ironically (most people do the opposite, lol ).

Lol.... I agree, most people prefer the big cities. But i love the smaller cities. Like here in Louis, I have access to outdoor sporting facilities without breaking a sweat. Zero racism, and everyone seems friendly. But yea, sometimes, I crave the big cities too.

Buthi, Joburg is a country on its own.....

Due to activities, i miss watching Uzalo and Generations, but my fav was Isidingo. Damnnnnnnnnnn My blood is Mzansi oooo. Wish they could bring back Isidingo.

No, we have some Nigerians in the smaller cities too. I am a freelancer, researcher, and I own a small recruitment agency.

I am still a fan, sometimes my heart bleeds whenever I am around the CBD, not necessarily because of anti-Nigerian thing, but because the CBD is fast losing its beauty. Marshalltown of 2000 vs today is a concern for me.

I love the smaller cities and towns, they tend to be safer, cleaner and easy access to sporting activities. Everyone is like a family in the smaller towns.

I used to work in the aviation/travel sector back in Nigeria. There is no way you can get that far without someone from the inside helping you. There are several IDs and badges for each part of the Airport.

Just a dude who loves to travel. Enjoying South Africa while am planning my next move. Been a fan of Southie since I was 8, fascinated the idea of living here and enjoying the cultures.

Don't judge a city by one video clip, i can take a video of Hillbrow or somewhere in Alexandra or Tembisa, however, does that mean the whole of Gauteng is like that?.

Maiduguri is a war torn city at the moment. But prior to the war, Maiduguri is better than Elim. I have lived in Maiduguri before. I am presently in Makhado, and I visit Elim.

There is more to Maiduguri than the video you saw.

I am in a better position to dispute your claims. You have no idea what Maiduguri looks like.

Maiduguri houses one of the most expensive houses in the world. It has an Airport, which Elim certainly doesn't have, it has a University, a club house, golf course and great hotels. All these are absent in Elim. Don't let the video fool you buddy.

visiting Elrufai was unnecessary, because the visit came with a backlash. Tell me, did the visit edify the church? Or did the visit to Elrufai glorify Christ? Did you hear him tell Elrufai to protect Christian's in his state? Did you hear him mention the happenings in Kaduna south? I will say it again, the visit was very very unnecessary.

Prophets that we know in the bible look the king in the eye and tell him the truth.

So you expect to see that on video. Wisdom is essential, there is tension already in the country. Pa adeboye is 79, his wisdom in addressing issues is far greater. Stuffs like that are discussed closed doors.

I have other secret blogs for education, news in broken English. But my main focus and content is my art/drawing.

Get an Instagram account if you don't have one. Post pictures of your stuffs nd include your blog site on your profile. Don't forget to write something very creative on every picture you post.

Do not forget to use the hastags correctly and select the ones with high number of followers.

For example #artlife might have 20 million followers. When you post your pictures, use such creative hastags with high followers. It helps. Then add famous people in the Art field to your account.
You are likely to make it better that way.

Most Nigerians are hypocrites, when I was in Nigeria, i would do business with someone for lets say $1,000, then I will get to hear the person is selling same product for $1,600. I did not even make that much profit. Then we turn around and blame Dangote.

90% Nigerian business owners are worse than Dangote.

1) To let clients know that I have a serious business.

2) To showcase what I do, and the services I render.

3) To be reached. By merely typing my company name on Google, it takes you straight to my website.

4) To show you my partners....

5) To link my professional email to my domain. You want to do a business worth $50, 000 with op@gmail.com? Your tender and proposal will be out the window.

6) Website serves as your business Resume.

No reasonable company/client wants to do business with a faceless company.

I never said money makes you sad. But, there most be something that should make you happy when money comes.

At Bill gates level, Mike Adenuga etc, money is not what makes them happy.

How will that happen when the Local Government Chairman have a house in Asokoro or Maitama.

Blaming the governors every time, but leaving out the Local chairman is one of the major problems of development in Nigeria.

Thats the mistake most people make, believing money will solve all thier problems, then money comes, they still cannot find happiness and contentment, they result into temporary route to happiness (drugs, cracks, cocaine, vacations, shopping etc) then they still can't find happiness, rather, they go worse, depression sets in and suicidal throughs take over.

Find your true happiness before money comes, and make sure its your true happiness. Or search for it when you're rich.

Growing up, whenever I have some money, like more than enough, i jux keep the money under my pillow and go play video games, watch football, play football ball, hang out with my friends...... That was good for me, sometimes, I am home alone for weeks, playing games, watching movies, doing my freelancing and planning for the future.

Find your happiness, because money will never find it for you.
