HealthRe: Coronavirus: What Is The Fate Of Nigerians Abroad? by monfizzy(m): 6:39pm On Mar 13, 2020
I’ve though of moving to Abuja for a while until all is clear but then I thought what if I already have the virus but symptoms yet to appear and appears while in Naija. What’ll be my fate in our mushroom hospitals? So I’d rather stay in the UK until all is clear.

Good for you, London seemed like a different world to me first time I got there. Even though I was from another European country but the difference in class, tech, organisation and decorum, and finally people that you didn't have to ask if they understood English, was clear. Lovely place it seems, though quite expensive for broke students like us. Settling there after studies will be a dream come true.
Depending on what you’re studying it might be possible to migrate to Britain after you graduated. From next year, the UK will begin a Canada/Australia style merit based system for people with some certain skills to move here. So just maybe you might qualify giving that you’re educated abroad.

Yours is interesting.
What happened to your wife?

Seems Nigerian women abroad give many issues.
She wasn’t Nigerian but European of Caucasian origin. Life happened.
TravelRe: How Did You Feel The First Day You Travelled Abroad? by monfizzy(m):
Moving to the UK didn’t really know what to expect, I just had dreams and desire to change my life fortune. So when I landed at Heathrow I got my first scare when immigration told me to step aside after asking me why am I in the UK and who am I coming to see. Told them I’m not coming to see anyone but moving permanently to live with my wife (now ex) and they requested for her number and I gave. Then asked me where she is I told them she’s waiting for me at the arrival lounge. They delayed me for about 30mins but throughout the entire time I acted unworried coz I knew cameras were on me to observe my countenance.

Was just playing music with my Beats headsets and nodding my head to the rhythms, but I was worried inside me. I travelled with a residence permit and had all the confidence in-between the worries. So they later let me go and on getting at the arrival lounge saw madam and my brothers waiting for me, immediately I stepped out at Heathrow cold almost blew me off coz it was December period.

I was excited but the airport experience almost destabilised me. Sha thank God, my fortune has indeed changed forever. Now a naturalised citizen with a decent job and with an even promising future. No regrets whatsoever. The environment was a sight to behold. Nigeria would have killed my dreams.

Audio, on the one hand she doesn't have a license to drive in the UK, On the other hand, UK driving is right hand drive
Tourists can drive with their foreign licence for a year and she can temporarily drive a left-handed car in the UK as well.

The rich and affluent mostly from the Middle East often ship their cars here prior to visiting but they’re very expensive cars worth hundreds of thousands to million pounds automobiles not Benz like hers.

Aside missing roasted corn and coconut, eating food like abacha, ofe akwu, okpa etc and maybe socialising I miss nothing. We don’t get to have time to socialise as much as most in Naija owing to our work life. My siblings are all also in the UK/US and parents late so no family to miss back home. Well except missing my umu nwa local man kwesili iji akwori ndu

Australia doesn’t operate birthright citizenship except if a parent of the child is an Australian citizen or hold a permanent residence. And it’ll only be a matter of time for Canada to also stop it after US coz they’ll be overwhelmed by people coming there to give birth soon.

You know, you don't know all black people on earth so stop generalizing. You are black aren't you? Okay. So since you are innately insecure and always crave for public validation to compensate for YOUR insecurity and you go on seeking attention to obscure your own shortcomings does not mean every black person is like you.

You Nigerians stay on Nairaland with your miserable selves constantly bad mouthing the black race as if doing so constantly will one day turn you into a white person.

Read my lips. No white person will respect a self hater like you. You won't earn any brownie points being a self hater. You have low self esteem and hate that you are black so stop projecting your self hate on black people worldwide. This is a new year. Change!
Listen mate, you aren’t patriotic nor an ardent supporter of the black race more than I am and what I said here I can’t say around my Caucasian mates. I’m an unapologetic black fella who defend my race especially around people from other races, however this platform is a black dominated one hence I feel free to say stuff as it is here. It’s like scolding a relative at home while supporting them in public for same offence. Trump call it “locker room talk”.

That being said, an average Black person crave for too much gratification and hardly ever indulge in an act of benevolence without their cameras. They tend to derive more satisfaction from “thanks” and “God bless you” they receive not only from the recipient of their kindness but from the general public more than their charitable gesture itself. Take away the cameras most of those who parade themselves within the black community as philanthropist on social media won’t bother.

If you live in the West you’ll be conversant with the countless number of charity organisation where Caucasians make monthly donation by setting up direct debit without parading it. I work in the health sector in the UK (NHS) where numerous Caucasian usually come to donate blood at no charge just to help those in need of transfusion, the black community donors are very minimal. Also, most Brits and I heard even Americans signed up that should they die the hospital can harvest their useful organs to help the sick and needy yet never talk about it. Instances are abound. I’ve been living in Europe for many years and well-traveled and I can tell you that blacks tend to be more loud about any act of kindness they do than Caucasians.

Black people all over the world just have a tendency and culture of showing off. I really wonder why this is so.
I think Blacks are innately insecure and always crave for public validation to compensate for their insecurity. The act of showing off and unnecessary attention seeking is a way of obscuring one’s shortcomings.
TravelRe: My Experience At A Restaurant In Canada by monfizzy(m): 6:50pm On Jan 01, 2020
That’s the difference between blacks and Caucasians, while the former crave for gratitude and you telling them thanks and sometimes even worship them in return for a favour, the latter just do good for humanity and doesn’t bother about receiving thanks.

I’ve had several cases in the UK where an unknown stranger did me huge favour seeking for their identity to be anonymous or just do a kind gesture while hurriedly moving away without waiting for thanks. If a black person had done this, they’ll capture it on camera, post on IG etc for cheap claps.

Congratulations and good for you dear.

But british citizens dey run go other countries now...e dey red for them now oo.. E no be as before.. Na why Scotland dey struggle to leave UK and re-enter EU..
British citizens will now need visa to enter EU countries.
Ill informed comment. British citizens aren’t running to anywhere and their economy is still the 5th largest in the world and as always been in over a decade. British citizens won’t need any visas to travel to the EU regardless of the outcome of Brexit negotiation. Poor economy like Brazil nationals can travel to Europe visa free how much more the 5th largest economy in the world and only second to Germany in Europe. Jobs and unemployment here is at an all time low so be guided and stop making unguarded comments.

Go do a scan of the baby to determine their genotype and if SS terminate it and if not then keep it. I’m a healthcare practitioner and have met a couple who both are AS and have 2kids both AS. They were very much in love and didn’t allow genotype separate them. They had to terminate their second pregnancy when diagnosed to be SS. Don’t know if such genotype test of the foetus can be carried out in a Naija. I live in the UK
