Romance › Re: When A Girl Is Dating A Guy Who Is Not Ready For Marriage by Montaque(m): 12:04pm On Dec 12, 2015 |
The reasons espoused in this post was wat made I and my then nysc friend to cut ties. we were friends immediately after camp (we never knew each other in camp). we discussed and discovered we are falling for ourselves mutually. I suggested that we give ourselves time to understand the length n breadth of what we felt and then know if we are ad idem (oof the same mind n purpose). After a month of casual friendship and with sincerity, we got to See that what she wants is not what I want. whereas she wants marriage after service, I want to work for at least 3years before marriage. and we could not reconcile this issue, even when we could reconcile all other issues (tribal, denomination, career) we just met in a love garden one day and ended the thing. I don't want to waste her time and she don't want to be an unsecured hunch on my back while I pursue my career. we still remain friends till date, though she has long gotten into her home. and I am better off now, in the mind. |

QuotaSystem: Responsible governance. This change reminds me of when every kind of Nigerian suffering was attributed to an invisible 'cabal' that we soon found out to be the PDP itself (Diezani and co. )
The situation is not pretty at the moment, but with a responsible government, we will soon meet the light at the end of this tunnel. The caBals have given way for you to see there is no Cabals anywhere. let pmb do his work as a petroleum minister. |

Ephemmm: This is one of the reasons i have not taken the opposition party PDP seriously. Most of the economic backslashes we are experiencing now was inherited. The opposition will be quick to point out how bad our economy has degenerated forgetting that some of us are more intelligent and reasonable to know that the economy of a nation does not start crashing in a matter of months. It is a build up of failed policies and programmes cluelessly initiated or poorly implemented. They're always quick to point to the positives of this present administration as a programme conceived and initiated by the GEJ but will distance themselves from the mess they created. What a hypocrisy! this is an over - used excuse. try another one |

Image123: You don't get it. From time to time, the President can appear before anybody as occasion warrants, or send a representative. The context and purpose of this particular case is what is laughable and ludicrous, not the instance of the President's appearance. It's childish and foolish of the Senate to be asking what is been done about fuel scarcity, they already know what is been done. In fact, they are the ones we should be asking. It's protocol and Constitution for them to also approve,it's not a plea or help they are offering, it's balance and 'synergy'. It is not news that government pays subsidy. It's not news that not enough was budgeted for subsidy, hence the need for a supplementary budget. Hope we can get to a time when it is proper to invite your hero to the floor of the senate? |
Politics › Re: Senate Asks Nigerians If They Should Invite Buhari Over The Fuel Scarcity (Pic) by Montaque(m): 8:17pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
Image123: They are asking about plans to address the fuel scarcity, what other plans should there be than to pay up the debts. Shouldn't that be the start? If subsidy is removed tonight, does that end the scarcity? Of course no. The complain of the marketers is that they are owed. The Senate cannot think it fit not to pay their debts, it's irrational to think such. The other plan is very clear and visible on the dailies; there's ongoing renegotiation and reduction of the subsidy claims which is obviously not auguring well with the marketers, hence the sabotage. There's attempts to make refineries come alive both private and government owned. This will reduce import and subsidy. There was televised rebidding just last week or so for oil swap and import arrangements. If you agree the senate has power to approve the payment of the debt, you can't on the same breath deny them the right to ask questions About it. You can't defend the long run implication of this, if the minister of the federation never appear before the senate. The plans you say are on the dailies are not before the senate properly so called. So don't claim that he has ever intimated the senate on this so called plans. The bottom line is that once u agree to take a portfolio, you inherit the privileges n liabilities that comes with it. |
Politics › Re: Senate Asks Nigerians If They Should Invite Buhari Over The Fuel Scarcity (Pic) by Montaque(m): 7:29pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
Image123: It is not an excuse, it is the fact. The Presidency has long approved that over 400billion be paid for the subsidy as that's the purported cause of scarcities by marketers. The Senate is to approve that, they met today, I dunno if they approved it. What we are hearing is opinion poll on whether to summon President. Who is deceiving who? So once the president earmarks the money, the senate should approve it without asking question. What then is their duties? if they thought it fit not to approve until they hear from the minister in charge on the long term plan to curb this menace, is it out of place? Maybe you still don't see that we are still rotating round the circumference of subsidy, what other plan do we have? That's why u appoint a minister, it's not just an office, it's a responsibility. |

Image123: There's nothing highhanded about the matter. What is the point of summoning him? Is it a test of humility, obedience or righteousness? Is it a show of power, control, ridicule or frustration? Anyone that reads the news knows already where the buck presently lies. The money to be paid is to be approved by the Senate. The NNPC has been openly and daily talking about the scarcity and the volume they dispense. It's not like Diezani time when nobody knew what was going on. hope you will have this excuse to give continually till he relinquishes that position for one of his lieutenants. He is always always right, above board like ceaser'ceaser's wife. anything the senate will do to correct the situation shouldn't involve summoning pmb, that's How u want us to go as a nation. |

kYjelly2: Going towards ajah, I noticed no spill over from stations as they all had just 2-3 cars per queue. This of course hasn't been a typical scenario these past few weeks, hence why I said it's been inconsistent. you will know that most stations are closed intentionally to avoid falling victim to the directive by the minister. The black market is making much gain now. |

kYjelly2: The situation is getting a bit better in Lagos, especially today, but it's been inconsistent.
Some days like yesterday or day before that, saw massive queues, but today has been mostly free at stations selling which I hope will be sustained.
Those living in Lag should take this opportunity to fill their tanks, just in case. where are u reporting from in lagos? I hope u know the traffic jam caused by the queue spilling out from the stations unto the main road? I think u are deliberately downplaying the situation. |

The dangers when u; because of political affiliation, support high - handedness in governance. When pmb was about appointing himself a minister, some people thought that's the beSt to happen in the industry. They never saw the need for accountability. To them, pmb has , like amaechi, never taken bribe and won't start now. efilefun: Only foools will support this dasuki. If a physically fragile Hosni Mubarak could be wheeled and Stretchered to Court at every court hearing, and a physically able bodied Dasuki is walking to court to avoid prosecution by feigning illness, something is fundamentally wrong somewhere with Nigerian Judiciary system.
Dude you here ranting like a starved mosquito while Dasuki's kids are somewhere enjoying their father's loot oponu oshi no matter what you feel against this man concerning his case, it can't take out the fact that he was granted leave to travel for his medical check up. If you see his trial as important, why not accord the same respect to the same court's order that he should be allowed to travel. You can't approbate and reprobate at the same time. As for MuBarack, didn't they tell u that we run different system of government. So if u want to make an example of civilization for our dear Nigeria, u will cite Egypt? |

ezeagu: But there's no oil is the "South east" now.
The wealth is more shared out in those areas resulting in higher human development. There may be 20 billionaires in the north for example but there's 100,000 millionaires in the south. The 'koko' isn't billionaires, because some worser off countries have more billionaires than some trillion dollar economies, it's about HDI and per capita income.

TonyeBarcanista: There is nothing like "competence" in the appointment. Are you saying that NO southerner is competent enough to handle Interior and Defence ministries? Or you think we don't know that the Defence ministry get the highest budgetary allocation? Not even a minister of state of either ministry was created for southerners. This is in addition to the office of National Security Adviser that went to the North. Is Buhari not the one promoting sectionalism? Depending on how u feel about it. The constitutional provisions have been fulfilled. Except if u want further amendment to it to include spread of portfolios according to states. That's the issue with prerogatives. He is entitled to appoint anybody for any portfolio. When we cry about sectional ism, it has a way of making us look more sectional than the person we are blaming. That's why I refrain from it and channel my attack to competence Cos it's a universal language. |
