RomanceRe: She Can't Forgive Me! by Moonstone(f): 12:08am On May 02, 2009
I don't blame UC for thinking you cheated on her. You slept on the same bed with NG for how many days?
If you and UC have been together this long and are planning to marry, how come you don't live with her and your child?
If she's within visiting range, you guys should definitely be living together.
That aside, I think you made a big mistake by now telling UC about NG staying over but I think it can still be repaired. You should ask NG to talk to UC and if possible, get one of her family members to help you intervene. There's nothing more painful when your fiancee feels she cannot trust you.
After this thing dies down, you will need to regain her trust again and it will take a long time. I wish you the best of luck.

MRbrownJAY:
if you had done research on the subject, you would have known that a bone marrow transplant can be a cure for it. so instead of looking at it negativel , you shouldbe positive and say that its possible to be happy in the future being AS SS or whatever.
believe it or not, i had never heard people Bitching so ,uch about this AS thingy it until i joined NL.
being married and having children is society sign of happiness and success!!!!!(oh lord!!!)
Do you know how much that will cost and do you have any idea how feasible that is in Nigeria?
The AS thing is big problem because sickle cell is still a pretty important concept back home.
So far, no cure has been found for it IN Nigeria.
RomanceRe: Men Who Beat Women Need Psychiatric Test — Fashola by Moonstone(f): 3:05pm On May 01, 2009
JJYOU:
you talk well.  i wrote here in some funny thread of seeing a woman beating the husband in nigeria.  abuse is abuse. never justified. no excuse for it.
LOL! I agree with that part. I don't pity guys who married such girls just the way I don't pity girls who marry guys who beat them before they even get married.
190:
@Moonstone
ure 70% true and almost there
especially in the Women too need to learn how to control their tongues talk
i deserve an applause anyway!
but what abt the female folks that pretend all d way just 2 shw their true colors immediately they get married 2 u
and unleash their gozilla tongue on u, every now and then, surely not all men can tolerate these tongue lashing women
the same way not all women can tolerate cheatin 4rm their men, so u see thats life 4 u, thats how we met it and thats how it wud continue 2 be,different people, different approaches 2 life, different reasoning,
Deserve an applause for what?
Men too unleash on women o! Kai! If it's that one, both sexes are guilty. Some men are Prince Charming and as soon as you enter their house, they become beasts.
Couples fight all the time and it's understood. There are some women that can tolerate the beating.
I have a zero-tolerance policy for physical violence in a relationship but then again, I'm smart enough to know when to cool it with the tongue-lashing. Some women are not that carefree but no woman deserves to be beaten like a child. . . she's your other half for goodness'sake.
A man who beats his wife is very mad because that's the woman he's sharing his life with and that's the mother of her children. That is no way to treat your woman. Men should lead by example.
There's a way you conduct yourself during the abuse that the woman sef will get tired of abusing you.
RomanceRe: AS Genotype: What Would You Do? by Moonstone(f): 10:20am On May 01, 2009
Leave him - there's a 50% chance that your children will be SS. It's not worth it. Just because your bf beat the disease does not mean that your children can.
RomanceRe: Men Who Beat Women Need Psychiatric Test — Fashola by Moonstone(f): 10:17am On May 01, 2009
I can see that NL already has some of the mad men that need the psychiatric test. angry angry angry angry angry I'm not surprised.

All the B.S. I'm seeing here is of no point. If a woman abuses you, she's not going to kill you with her words. Some men have beaten their wives close to the point of death. Some are even worse when they beat their wives in front of their children. I have seen buffoons beat up their wives like little children.

If your wife abuses you, what is she using to abuse you? Do your own back if it hurts you so much. If not, hold your freaking peace and stew in anger.

To beat your wife is barbaric but some women aggravate those men. Women too need to learn how to control their tongues but I have seen men that beat women and curse the women simultaneously.
If your wife has a big mouth, that's your fault because I'm sure she showed traits before the marriage. If you can stand it, then don't complain and if you can't, don't marry such.
I still believe that NO MAN has ANY excuse to beat a woman. It's a cowardly attitude. It goes both ways but it does not warrant any physical violence.

He elbowed someone in the head and they did not see it during the game. So they suspended him this game.

I feel you. The best would be to hope Chandler heals and comes back healthy and if the Hornets can somehow steal another veteran scorer to help the offense. Thing is I don't see many players running to NO and the team doesn't have the $$ to tempt them either.
Yes o! I don't know how valuable Chandler is anymore. I don't see any player running to NO at all and that is going to hurt our chances because we need better people to fortify that team.

wow  shocked I was down there last yr and stayed at a hotel downtown and was shocked at how many businesses and stores were never re-opened and entire blocks and parking lots completely empty - all this downtown?  shocked I guess the blow Katrina dealt the city is still stinging. But don't the bball & football games have excellent attendance? the house was packed when i watched the saints. I don't think they should be axing any of the teams at all, that'd be like a death sentence.
It's still very bad. Katrina really messed up the city and I understand what you mean. The games have wonderful attendance because that is all the people really have to look forward to. At the same time, they don't have enough money to sustain both teams.

JeSoul:
Forgot about him. He used to be so deadly way back when he was with Sacramento. Girl your boys are not the only ones . . . so many teams this yr struggled with consistency.
That's what I thot. Well i guess it trickles down. If your starters don't put up, you can't expect the bench to.
shocked  shocked  shocked wow that bad?  sad  that would be serious.
Yeah - I remember those times cry cry cry We thought it was such a good move.

When a team can beat Lakers at home in regular season and then come to the playoffs and lose by almost 60 points, that for me is the highest of highs and lowest of lows. I know consistency is a major problem but no one predicted that the Den-NOH game would end in 5 games. Everyone was really predicting 7 because of how NOH played last year.
It's just so sad how these people really played.

Yeah - it's that bad. I don't know when they are making that decision but it's getting more likely with each passing week. Sometimes I think it's Hornets they might let go of but then when you look at Saints, our performance has been horrific since 2006/2007. I think I prefer a team that can make it to the playoffs anyday anytime.

bawomolo:
what potential do sean marks, hilton armstrong and james posey have?  Let's be hornet they need a 3rd scorer beyond David West and Chris paul. There is no backup PG to let Chris paul rest.  Chris Paul has to score 20pt and 10ast for them to even have a chance to win.  CP3 made David west and Tyson Chandler into average overpaid players and that's now obvious.  That bench just like that of the spurs without manu is horrible.

the best basketball is played in the Eastern conference  grin

the NBA is smiling at the tv ratings
They have Stojakovic who's really good at 3-pters. Somehow, he never gets the ball. If you look at the blowout game - CP3 scored 4pts and David West was the highest with 14pts. I mean, It's so disheartening.
Sean Marks is very good once in a while. I know he has saved us so many times in terms of defending especially when Chandler was injured. I painfully agree with you. D. West is good but the problem of Hornets lies in consistency. We are NOT consistent. There are games we shine and there are games we look so stupid in. When a team is not consistent, they can't be a good team.

LOL - I almost feel the need to buy an Iguodala jersey and watch that game. It's so appealing to me how Magic will so lose today. Last game Howard got 24pts and 24 rebounds. Who does that? That guy is not human. I suggest they check him. As in 24 rebounds? Ah ahn! 10 offensive and 14 defensive or so. It's so crazy.  cheesy cheesy cheesy
bawomolo:
I heard Stern is trying to get some bailout and katrina relief funds to be diverted to the Hornets  grin

The hornets would soon be in  luxury tax trouble.  CP3 should get out while he can.

I hope you are ready to see D.Rose break out of his slump  shocked
Bawo, you are NOT serious. . . hisssssssssssssssssssssssss!
LMAO! D. Rose has a slump? cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy I thought he was the best person ever in NBA.
JeSoul:
I don't recall who was or wasn't on the bench for NO last yr but what I do recall is that they didn't have offensive problems like they do this year and the addition of Posey was supposed to put them over the top, but that obviously didn't work. Who else did the Hornets lose in the offseason besides Pargo? You are right though that Paul makes West and Chandler look better but to be fair Chandler has been injured all yr, its West's disappearance I'm suprised at.

I still hear that some teams are in dire straits . . . I wonder if the Hornets are among them?  grin
I don't think we lost anyone else. Pargo was the only big move I was aware of. We had little problem offensively but we have always had defensive problems. With Chandler out of the way and Pargo all the way in Europe, I guess I know how many problems we really do have.

I can bet my money on it that Hornets are among them. They are actually contemplating which team they wanna let go of between Saints and Hornets. It will destroy the city if they let either one of them go.  cry cry cry cry
