More and more findings are surfacing about what we call "normal life". A psychologist in Great Britain says too much Christmas music is actually bad for your mental health. Are you one of those people that can’t stand hearing Christmas songs months before the holiday actually arrives? Does hearing festive carols weeks before Thanksgiving only make you upset that you haven’t eaten your turkey yet? Got to tone it down.

According to CBS Baltimore, clinical psychologist Linda Blair claims the constant barrage of Christmas tunes too early in the season forces people to remember all the things they have to do before the holiday. Blair says the songs are a reminder to buy presents, cater parties, organize travel, and all the more stressful chores during Christmas.

“You’re simply spending all of your energy trying not to hear what you’re hearing,” Blair tells Sky News.

The psychologist added that store workers are most at risk for being worn down by the catchy beats. She states that hearing the same songs over and over each day make workers struggle to “tune it out” and they become “unable to focus on anything else.” “Christmas music is likely to irritate people if it’s played too loudly and too early,” Blair explained to reporters.

In the U.S., the mad dash by retailers to get consumers in the holiday spirit continues to eat up more of the calendar. The seller’s push, also known as the Christmas Creep, has made some major stores decide to break out the Christmas playlist in the middle of October. According to a survey of top retailers by the Tampa Bay Times, Best Buy outpaced all other stores by starting their holiday music on Oct. 22.

Danny Turner, a programming executive with Mood Media, told the Times he advises stores avoid playing novelty or repetitive songs that tend to be more annoying than cheerful.

“The one I have in mind is The 12 Days of Christmas… Once I’m at the third day, I’m counting how many days are left. You don’t want any songs that feel like they last for 12 days.”

According to TMZ News, the American superstar is accused of calling her former head of security a white supremacist, a Nazi, a skinhead, a Ku Klux Klan member and sexually harassing him. This is contained in a draft lawsuit.

Lawyers for Michael Anello, who headed up Carey’s security company, have prepared the papers, which also accuse Carey of exposing herself to him. Anello says his company worked for Mariah from June 2015 to May 2017 and were not only cheated on more than $200,000, but were also denied another promised two years of work, which would have added $511,000 to the tab.

It should be noted that the TMZ report states the suit has now been paused as the two sides presumably attempt to come to an accommodation. In the suit, Anello says Mariah humiliated him and his colleagues by referring to them as members of the hate groups, according to TMZ, and claims;

Mariah “wanted to be surrounded with black guys, not white people.”

The draft lawsuit also makes allegations of sexual harassment, claiming Carey performed “sexual acts with the intent that they be viewed by Anello.”

According to TMZ, Anello claims that during a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Mariah asked him to come to her room to move some luggage; when he got there, she was allegedly wearing a see-through negligee that was open.

He says he tried leaving but she insisted he move the luggage. He says he left the room and there was no physical contact. Mariah’s people tell us they were in touch with Anello’s lawyer Monday and were agreeable to pay certain invoices, but we’re told Anello is not satisfied with the amount.

The lawyer for Anello told TMZ the lawsuit is now on hold, while TMZ reported that “Mariah’s people have no information on the sexual-harassment claim.”

First of all, I believe this prediction is familiar to those in the advanced world not Africa. My thoughts though. Anyway, longtime auto executive Bob Lutz says the days of the personal car are numbered.

Bob Lutz is a former Marine who worked for Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, and BMW, usually as the resident "car guy" — a product guru who could guide the bean-counters toward automotive glory and gruffly greenlight amazing machines.

Now semi-retired, Lutz is partnered with designer Henrik Fisker at VLF Automotive, a maker of exotic, burly very expensive supercars. But he continues to freely offer his thoughts on the car business. He's both expressed admiration for Elon Musk — and taken shots at Tesla's business. And he's tried to stay on the cutting edge of transportation.

But his latest salvo is a big one, particularly coming from a car guy's car guy. Writing for Automotive News, he argues that;

"The auto industry is on an accelerating change curve." "For hundreds of years, the horse was the prime mover of humans and for the past 120 years it has been the automobile," he said.

"Now we are approaching the end of the line for the automobile because travel will be in standardized modules. The end state will be the fully autonomous module with no capability for the driver to exercise command."

The man who gave us the Dodge Viper has effectively surrendered. And he thinks a change will come faster than anybody expects, due largely to self-driving cars taking deadly human drivers out of the picture, reducing roadway fatalities to basically zero. In 20 years, we won't even be allowed to drive ourselves any longer, unless we're rich and have access to private race tracks for our vintage Ferraris.

It would be hard to take such a grim prophecy seriously if you're a motoring enthusiast. But this is Bob Lutz we're talking about — and he knows whereof he speaks.

The transition will devastate automakers and car dealers, he opines. The winners will be managers of gigantic autonomous podmobile fleets — "Uber, Lyft, FedEx, UPS, the U.S. Postal Service, utility companies, delivery services," Lutz thinks, as well as Amazon.

I'm personally a bit skeptical, mainly because I don't know if the political or financial will is in place to remake our roadway infrastructure for fleets of podmobiles that will travel in trains at over 100 mph. But when Lutz speaks about cars, it's worth it to listen.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on yesterday urged the National Assembly to ensure the Federal Government withdraw from the Organisation of Islamic Conference and other religious bodies.

CAN said this at a gathering of prominent Christian leaders in the country at the Shepherdhill Baptist Church, Obanikoro, Lagos.

Media aide to the CAN president, Adebayo Oladeji, in a statement said the gathering condemned the plan to lead Nigeria into the Islamic Coalition Against Terrorism through an executive fiat. It also urged the National Assembly to prevail on Northern states to issue Certificates of Occupancy to churches in the region.

In his words:

“CAN calls on the National Assembly to compile the list of all organisations that Nigeria belongs to and all the treaties signed with a view to dropping all the religious ones. “That we declare the inability of the state governments to pay workers’ salaries and allowances as and when due as unacceptable and call on the federal and state’s governments to work together to address this.”

It admonished the Federal Government to “stop the untimely death of our people and medical tourism abroad.”

It condemned the failure of the security agencies to stop the murderous Fulani herdsmen from their criminal activities. The gathering also demanded the revival of the Nigerian Inter-religious Council.

Those who attended the meeting includes President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye; the Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo; the General Overseer, The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, Archbishop Mike Okonkwo; and former CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

Following the sack of Slaven Bilic on Monday following strings of poor result with the Premier League club in the relegation zone, West Ham United have confirmed the appointment of former Manchester United Boss David Moyes as their new manager.

West Ham in an official statement said:

"West Ham United can confirm the appointment of David Moyes as the club’s manager. "Moyes will meet his new players for the first time at Rush Green on Tuesday morning, before taking charge of the team for the trip to Watford in the Premier League on Sunday 19 November."

Moyes has been out of work since May when he resigned as Sunderland boss after relegation to the Championship. Hammers joint-chairman David Sullivan said the 54-year-old Scot is "the right man to turn things around".

“I would like to welcome David to West Ham United. This is a unique position for David Gold and myself - it is the first time in almost eight years at West Ham United that we have appointed a new manager during the season.

“We need somebody with experience, knowledge of the Premier League and the players in it, and we believe David is the right man to turn things around and get the best out of the players at the Club. He is highly regarded and respected within the game, and will bring fresh ideas, organisation and enthusiasm.

“He proved with Everton that he has great qualities and we feel that West Ham United is a Club that will give David the platform to display those qualities again.” said Sullivan

Moyes first test will be a visit to Watford in the Premier League on 19 November.

To be candid guys, you need to get real. I don't know about ladies but guys tend to make stupid decisions and still spend unnecessarily when they are broke and this has to stop. You have to find away to distinguish between your needs and your wants.

The worst nightmare for anyone is being broke. No one wants to be in a state where we don't have money to do some things but guess what, sometimes we find ourselves their and its no juju from the village or one uncle pursuing you, it is simply because of bad financial decision

So you need to stop winging and get on with your life and make smarter decisions next time. But before such a time, their is need to cut-down on certain expenses. It doesn't matter if you are broke for a short while or you are broke for a very long period, there are things you need to do to adjust to the financial situations, to prevent you from acquiring lots of debt.

These are the seven things you need to avoid..

1. Pretending to have money you don't

Seeing is believing. People tend to believe what they see. If people see the way you spend money, they think you have money, and they expect you to spend. Though you really don't have to let people know your financial situation but don't pretend you have when you don't. It will ruin your finance totally.

2. Paying for subscription services

If you are broke, you need to cancel some unnecessary subscriptions that are not helping matters. Cancel subscriptions on cable tv, social clubs, gym membership, for the period you are broke. Once you bounce back, then you can re-subscribe. It won't affect your life if you don't have some things but it can affect your finance and financial goals if you subscribe to some things and you have to pay through your nose. Try to adjust.

3. Hanging out with friends

When you are in a broke state, reduce how much you hang out or party with friends. Spending time with friends outside your house or their house automatically means you would spend money, which you can't really afford when you are broke. If you won't be paying for drinks or food or getting free food and drinks, then stay put at your house.

Find an alternative way to have fun with your friends.

4. Paying bills late

Try not to pay your bills late. They have a way of adding up, finding a way to eat up into the little you have. It is cheaper to pay your bills earlier, than having an accumulated sum which can disrupt your finances.

5. Spending savings or emergency fund unnecessarily

If you are broke and you have a savings or an emergency fund you can fall back on. Try making the best out of it till you get out of your broke state. Only spend your emergency savings on emergency situations and savings on important things. Make your savings and emergency savings last for a long period. Remember, spend on what you need, not what you want.

6. Eating out

If you have the habit of eating out and ordering food to be delivered to you, you need to quit it. It would leave you totally broke. Buy food stuff at a market or supermarket, take it home to cook. You get value for your money.

7. Sticking to old spending habits

The reason why you are in your broke state is probably because of your bad spending habits and your bad financial decisions. You’ll need to review and check your financial habits and decisions and find possible ways of improving on them, so you don't find yourself in such financial situation in the future.

Slaven Bilic has been sacked as West Ham manager with former Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes set to replace him on an interim basis. Bilic, 49, departed with the club in the Premier League relegation zone

West Ham in a statement on its official website said:

“West Ham United can confirm that Slaven Bilic has today left his position as a head coach with the Club.

“The chairmen and board of West Ham United would like to place on record their thanks and gratitude to Slaven and his team for their services over the past two and a half years, but believe a change is now necessary in order for the club to move forward positively and in line with their ambition.

“West Ham United can confirm that Bilic’s coaching assistants Nikola Jurcevic, Edin Terzic, Julian Dicks and Miljenko Rak have also left the club with immediate effect.

“The club’s search for a new manager to take West Ham United forward is underway and an announcement regarding Bilic’s successor is expected to be made over the coming days.”

Former Manchester United coach, David Moyes has been poised to take over. West Ham are offering him a deal until the end of the season, at which point Moyes’s future would be reviewed.

Bilic took over as West Ham manager in 2015 and finished seventh in his first campaign, then 11th last season. His team have managed only two wins from their first 11 league games this season and the heavy defeat by Liverpool followed a 3-0 reverse against Brighton in their previous home match.

Breaking News: Pope Francis Requests That Roman Catholic Priests Be Given The Right To Get Married

To some people, this may not have come as a surprise because if you are following the papacy statements and antics, you would have known that it is just a matter of time, the celibacy in Catholic churches will be up for debate. Well, that time is upon us.

The celibacy is one of the most important doctrine in Catholicism and also the most controversial, since it it this particular doctrine that pushes must of the roman catholic priest out from the Catholicism. Pope Francis has however requested that Roman Catholic priests be given the right to get married.

The request applies to priests in Brazil, and is on the agenda for an upcoming synod (church council) in the Amazon region. The controversial move would address the critical shortage of men joining the priesthood – but is likely to drive divisions through the church by enraging conservative factions.

A small number of married Roman Catholic priests already exist, including previously married Anglican vicars who have joined the church. A request to lift the ban on marriage was made by Brazilian bishop Cardinal Claudio Hummes, who reportedly asked the Pope to consider ‘viri probati’, meaning married of great faith, as priests.

Derry priest Father Paddy O’Kane suggested that Pope Francis may move to end celibacy earlier this month, saying there was support amongst the church for the idea. Fr O’Kane cited Brazilian liberation theologian Leonardo Boff, who said: “The Brazilian bishops, especially the pope’s own personal friend Cardinal Claudio Hummes, have expressly requested Pope Francis to enable married priest in Brazil to return to pastoral ministry.

“I have recently heard that the pope wants to fulfil this request – as an experimental, preliminary phase for the moment confined to Brazil.” Earlier this year the Pope told Die Zeit newspaper: ‘We must consider if ‘viri probati’ is a possibility. Then we must determine what tasks they can perform, for example, in remote communities.’

Francis and his predecessor Benedict XVI have both stated that celibacy is not a matter of inflexible church dogma unlike, and could be debated.
