It is official, WWE heavy weight champion Terry Bollea popularly called Hulk Hogan’s contract with the World Wrestling Entertainment has been terminated. The sudden termination came on Friday after the wrestler used unacceptable racist rants to describe a black man involved with his daughter, Brooke.

According to a tape that leaked from Gawker, Hulk Hogan alleged used the words below to curse out his daughter’s black boyfriend.

‘I don’t know if Brooke was f**king the black guy’s son… I mean, I don’t have double standards.’I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f**king n****rs. But then when it comes to nice people and s**t, and whatever.’I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f**k some n****r, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n****r worth a hundred million dollars! 50 Cent has been instructed to fork over another $2 million in punitive damages to Rick Ross' baby mama, Lastonia Leviston, for leaking her sex tape online.

A lawyer for Leviston had urged jurors to award her $15 million in punitive damages but was rather awarded $7 mil especially because 50 Cent told the jury this week that he was worth less than $5 million in an effort to get some leniency.

50 Cent's attorney had asked them to order he pay $700,000.The jury announced the judgment in NYC on yesterday. 50 already got hit with a $5 million judgment in the case earlier this month which lead to him filing for personal bankruptcy.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senators have warned the Federal Government against using the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to intimidate them, vowing to resist such attempt.


They asked President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that some people do not use his name to misuse state machinery in fighting their perceived political opponents in the guise of waging anti-corruption war.
A statement on Friday by Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, on behalf of PDP senators, read,

“As much as we are not against the anti-corruption agencies performing their statutory duties, the invitation by EFCC to the wife of the Senate President, Mrs. Toyin Saraki, clearly indicated that the threat by a group within the National Assembly to use all means to fight the National Assembly leadership is now being carried out.

“Nigerians should ask the EFCC what it was waiting for all this while before realising that it would need to invite Mrs. Saraki when she left the Government House with her husband in 2011. And why should the invitation come a few days after a senator threatened that his group would bring the senate president down?

“We also think that the same witch-hunt that the wife of the senate president is suffering now is the same thing happening to his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, who the police have been disturbing. But at the right time, we will jointly make our opinion known on the harassment of our leaders.”

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Friday said the invitation of Mrs. Toyin Saraki, wife of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission was politically motivated.
However, during a media briefing in Ilorin after the state APC’s executive meeting, the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Ishola Balogun-Fulani, described the EFCC’s invitation as a calculated attempt to dent the image of the senate president and his wife.
He cautioned EFCC to avoid being used for political vendetta.
Balogun-Fulani said,

“The EFCC’s invitation of Mrs. Saraki was a shock to the APC in Kwara State because five years after her husband left office as the governor, the anti-graft agency thought it wise to invite his wife for questioning.”

Two Moroccan women who walked through a market wearing dresses are facing charges of “gross indecency”, a rights group and media reported Thursday, sparking an outcry in the kingdom. The women were arrested on June 16 as they strolled through the open-air market in Inezgane, a suburb of the southern city of Agadir, on their way to work, said Fouzia Assouli, head of women’s rights organisation LDDF.

Security forces intervened, wresting the women away from the angry crowd and placing them inside a police car before driving them to a police station where they were charged with gross indecency, it added.

Assouli told newsmen that a trial date has been set for July 6. Rights organisations have denounced the upcoming trial and protests are to be held later this week in Agadir and in Morocco’s commercial capital Casablanca in support of the two women. “They were dressed in a very respectable fashion,” said Bouchra Chetouani, a member of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH).

In the police report, the women were said to have been wearing clothes that were “too tight”. Article 483 of Morocco’s penal code states that anyone found guilty of committing an act of “public obscenity” such as “gross indecency” can be jailed for between a month and two years.

According to vanguard news, supporters of the two women have launched a petition online dubbed “Wearing a dress is not a crime”. It had been signed by more than 8,000 supporters as of Thursday afternoon. “This is an unprecedented case for our region,” said Aziz Sellami, the AMDH representative in Agadir, one of Morocco’s top tourist destination which is famous for its white sandy beaches.

Assouli said the arrests of the women comes amid growing calls for “morality” to be respected in conservative Morocco, which has been frequently criticised by international groups for rights abuses. Earlier this month, pop star Jennifer Lopez sparked anger among conservatives in Morocco — and triggered much debate — for being, according to media, “scantily” dressed during a concert in Rabat that was broadcast on public television.

It’s now about seven weeks since President Muhammadu Buhari became president and a lot has been said about his administration. Some people have criticised him for his slow pace and apparent indecision but he’s obviously impressed with some good actions.

Away from all the criticism, let’s look at something positive about the man. It’s still a long way to go for the president, but here are the seven best highlights of his tenure so far:

1. Firing service chiefs

In the past week, President Buhari unexpectedly fired all his service chiefs including the head of the army and he has gotten a lot of credit for it. People see it as a bold, overdue move in the right direction because the army and the rest of the forces clearly need some fresh ideas.

The sacked chiefs had been there for long and have failed to end the Boko Haram war. Surely they needed to go, and so people are just glad that Buhari seized the moment and showed them the door. It’s one of the best highlights of his tenure so far and it has shown Nigerians that he’s working on the situation.

2. The relief for states

One of the first thing Buhari had to deal with was the fiscal crisis going on at the state level. Many states were broke and couldn’t pay their workers, and there was pressure on the president to intervene.

So the president held meetings with all the governors to work out a solution, and in the end the administration put together a relief plan worth N700 billion for the states so they can pay their debts and pay their workers. It was a considerate move and people hailed the president for weighing in.

3. He turned down new cars

Last week Punch reported that the president turned down new cars worth N400 million to save the government money. The report said they were going to buy five armoured cars for the president but he said he didn’t need them because the existing ones were good enough. It was a top story last week and it really made a good impression on many people.

4. He announces pay cut

It looks like the president is really trying to reinforce his image as a prudent man. Last week he announced that he and his vice Yemi Osinbajo will cut their pay by half in order to reduce government spending.

The president actually can’t cut his own salary because there’s a government parastatal that’s in charge of setting and reviewing salaries for government officials including the president. The Christian and Muslims Peace Advocacy and Enlightenment Initiatives (CAMPAEI), has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to suspend Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.

The group said suspension is the only option to instil discipline in the party warning the APC that the actions of the duo and their supporters could encourage other members of the party to go against it wishes.

The group also said Saraki and Dogara could frustrate Buhari’s fight against corruption. Speaking to the Daily Sun in Abuja, National president of the group, Prophet Iwu Maurice Ogbu, said the way Saraki and Dogara emerged as national assembly leaders is what led to the crisis in the house.

The leader alleged that the manner in which elements in the party reacted to corruption probes by Buhari led to the manner of Saraki and Dogara’s emergence. He said: “The aim of these powerful Nigerians, who encourage and finance rebellion against the party’s democratic positions is to frustrate the fight against corruption.

“Before the party knew what was happening, the process of electing leaders at the National Assembly was hijacked by corrupt and polluted interests that took advantage of the inordinate contest among party members as a loophole for frustrating APC government’s efforts in its quest to fight corruption to a standstill,” Ogbu said.

He also alleged that the national assembly leaders who were former members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were in the APC to cause confusion.

The group then urged the APC to suspend the national assembly leaders which would instill discipline in the party. In a related development, APC house of representative party loyalists have rejected Dogara’s proposal to zone principal offices in the House to reflect the spirit of Federal Character.
