PoliticsWhich Presidential Candidate Have You Supported Since 1999 by MORNDEW(op): 7:38pm On Mar 20, 2015
Before i start this, i must duff my hat for Abdusallami Abubakar for peacefully transiting Nigeria to Democracy he could have decided to continue and never allowed us to practice it, but he chose not to.

During the 1999 democratic elections, we had two major Presidential Candidates Chief, Olusegun Obasanjo contesting under the PDP and Chief Olu Falae contesting under AD. As a small boy in still in primary school i followed up all the build ups to the election. (no be today i start to dey follow national issues). I usually don’t miss 9’oclock news then, i had planned to be a politician but as i grew up i realised our environment was not good enough for sound, sane and intelligent politics.

In that election, even though i was not eligible to vote, i rooted for Olu Falae

REASONS: first, Obasanjo to me looked like who would loot the Government but Olu Falae looked more like a calm man who would care more for the people. Secondly, i like slim men so my likeness for Falae.

In 2003, no need to support any candidate because i knew Obasanjo will still win and besides , the PDP already had their normal way of life working for them.

In 2007, i had grown more in experience of politics and also know what good governance is. I had also started following international politics and daily i get angry the way our country is being run. By this time many of the 1999 Governors have finished their second term and was eyeing the presidency. Then i was strongly rooting for Donald Duke, the former Cross River State Governor. I folowed him very much . Daily while on my way to school, i would stop and read his daily quotes in one of the dailies. I can never forget this one “Money is a tool not an ornament, the more acquisition of money is a burden not a sign of achievement”.

REASONS: his uncommon transformation of Crossriver State, at a time when his contemporaries only embezzled government money. Tinapa etc.
I wanted him to be President but when i woke up the next day after the PDP presidential Primaries, i heard that Yar’Adua has won the primaries. I also knew Yar’Adua will win, and Maurice Iwu ”wuruwuruly” proved me right.
Yar’Adua though bought my heart with his ”servant leadership” slogan but death never allowed him to finish it up. (this one wey dem dey say GEJ na Democrat, for where? Yar’ Adua na democracy himself).

In 2011, there was no two ways about it my heart and love was for Goodluck Jonathan.

REASONS: I believed he was relatively new to politics and as such has not enmeshed himself in too much corruption, he is younger with new ideas, a graduate, i believed he was just like me an ordinary man getting to such exalted position and lastly but the least, he is from my own region we ve cried to be president this is our chance.

I stood in a scorching sun, i was happy i will be part of history. Eventually he won, but to be truthful, after 8 months i started regretting why i voted him. Till today am not happy with Jonathan’s Presidency. And the reasons can make a full texbook for a course in the University.

Here we are today, faced with another election this time around between two familiar foes, Goodluck Jonathan and Mohammadu Buhari. I ve never supported ethnic politics and am too matured now to do so. A man i hated so much in the past years, i now love. I ve never loved any Nigerian Politician the way i love him today.

REASONS: our biggest problem is corruption and this man seems to have the answers to this problem. (real answers o no be d one wey dem tell us say dem dey use tekinology to fight corruption when china self wey get tekinology pass us still dey use corporal punishment. Smh).
Today our dollar exchange is in a mess, our security situation gives one heart attack, most of what they said about him i ve discovered to be lies,
theres this believe in many that this ”poor man” is the right man for the job as it stands.

If he wins and decides to toll the same part as others, he will also get my cane and bitter pills.

So friends since the inception of Democracy in Nigeria, who have you given your support

Are you not tired of recycling same old leaders?

Then after Buhari, is Gowon next, then Abubakar? Or even try to resurrect Murtala Mohammed to rule again?

FamilyRe: If This Was Your Husband What Would You Do? by MORNDEW(m): 12:40pm On Mar 14, 2015
rokiatu:
Please note this is not about me but someone very close. I need only serious advice please, if you have nothing better to say keep off.

There's someone very very dear to me that this is happening this to right now. And the lady in question is so confuse as to what step to take. This is how the story goes, her mother was having a family dinner and invite both she and her husband but the husband refused to go. Keep in mind that the husband don't love her mother at all. She have tried everything for him to love her mom to no avail. So this time she decided to take a step just to teach him a little lesson. After the family dinner, she decided to pack some of her clothes and take her two little girls and went over to her mom. She explained everything to her mother, and the mother didn't call her son in law either because of anger, so her elder brother decided to call him and talk to him about the whole situation. But he already decided he's never stepping to his mother in law house, never! And the wife may as well stay there because he ain't going for her, and he's not apologizing to the mother either, he don't like her and he's never putting foot to her house.

To cut long story short, the lady is now in a dilemma. To go back or not? He disrespected the family so now the decision is on her shoulders to make. They want nothing to do with it. She loves him, and they have two little kids together. The marriage is barely four years. They were high school sweethearts in Africa, the lady worked her butt off to bring him over, and now that he's settled and got all his papers he's acting like this. Her world is like crushing down.

Which bring me to the question, if you were the lady in question, what would you do?
they use to call ur name on dis forum so much reason for dat i dnt know.
But from this post, its glaring u hv dumb frnds. How can a lady wanna teach her hubby a lesson as what his hubby pricipal who is punishing him cos he came late to school?
To make things worst she does nt know weda to go backor not? Meaning? She does not know road to her hubby place anymore?
U see how ppl reason? Is d mum her hubby?
Better tel her to go back to her hubby unless she is tired of d union.
Hope u ar not arrogant or full of pride like ur frnd?
Smh.

PoliticsAn Illegal Protest by MORNDEW(op): 4:01pm On Mar 13, 2015
The media has been awashed with protest from MASSOB members in Onitsha agitating for the removal of Jega. It was learnt that the MASSOB leadership directed all its members to carry out such protest in every part of the country and in diaspora.

When i first read of it, i laughed it off as one of the comedies that has greeted us since the 2015 electioneeriang campaign. But from all indications, those who are carrying out the dance of shame are serious about it.

For the benefit those who don’t know or confused about the acronym MASSOB, the full meaning is, Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra.
Is it not an act of stupidity to be protesting for something you don’t believe in? Or has MASSOB abandoned their agitation of sovereignty and has become an arm of a political party?

Is not waste of time to start carrying placards calling for the removal of a man in another country when you have no stake? As MASSOB have made themselves to be?

Does it not amount to serious misplaced priority and waste of energy for them to be protesting about election leaving out their main aim?

Nigerians must know that the MASSOB protes amount to serious ilegality. As they ve never believed in Nigeria and does not have any stake in its fortcoming elections.

Some of them even spoke to journalists about how they are closer to actualising their own Nation. Imagine? Warning people to come back home. To which home?

What an illegality. What MASSOB is doing amounts to serious treasonable offences that must be checked. Our security agent should swing into action.

Need i tell the MASSOB leadership that their directive yielded no result as no State in the south- south joined in this meaningless dance of shame. Let alone the south-west

Princewill Chimereze.

–some of our fathers and grandfathers never owned a tv, does that mean you shouldn’t get one?–

Yesterday i traveled from portHarcourt to Owerri. As the journey continued, we got to the later part of the PortHarcourt-Owerri expressway i felt uneasy, the dust and haze coming inside the vehicle could cause asthma. The road was bad due to the uncompleted construction of the road ( to me its abandonment cos its more than two years since the construction have started)
i endured all that coupled with the traffic and regular checkpoints where the only checking, is to collect money from the drivers.

I got home around 7pm. As i dropped my bag i decided to rush down and get some fuel because there was no light. I was not expecting to see light because before i left i had not witnessed a flash of it for a week. (But i was promised stable light in 2012 and October 2013) I got to the filling station, the queue gave discouraged me bt i have to use light atleast to charge my phones and relax. I joined the queue and when it got to my turn the attendant told me its #100 per litre. But your metre says 87 per litre. Oga no be me do am o he said in vernacular. In my usual manner i made some noise telling him things are not suppose to be done this way. I bought it that way and left.

On my way home, i started musing. How can we buy fuel in this exorbitant price when God has blessed my country with oil, or is this a way that God indirectly cursed us as a nation? I got home, brought out my generator,(i pass my neighbour) poured the fuel, started it and it did not respond. I tried it several times but still the same thing.
I decided to change the plug but the problem persisted. I went out to call one of my friend who is skilled in repairing generators. When i got to his house i had to plead with him to help me and finally he agreed but that i hv to bring it to his place.

I took it to his place ( by this time i was sweating profusely) he checked it, fixed some problems in it and it began working. I handed him him #500 and left with my generator.

I got home, started the generator, took my bath, turned on my tv and decided to watch a local station, ( i rarely watch local stations). Two minutes into my watching, an advertisement started airing of how the government have done this and that i almost broke my tv in anger. I just quickly put it off and lay back on my bed.

As i lay on my bed, i started pondering about everything. From my hectic journey to my provision of my own social amenities. I asked what will it take us to change this status quo? Why do we like to suffer and smile and even blindly hail those who impoverish, suffer, maltreat us etc? What will it cost us to say no this nonsense must stop? For how long will we continue this continue? Making a nation work is not a rocket science.

That a previous Government did not do it does not mean a government should continue that way.

We have the power as a people if we vote someone and he/she decides to be incompetent and turn deaf ear to our plight, we wait in the next elections to boot him/her out. Nigerians stop hailing mediocrity and incompetence we deserve better.

Aye dee didn't insult Buhari. All he was trying to say was that Buhari doesn't have economic sense of multiplication. How can 150 cows for almost 30 years still be 150 cows - to him such a person can not improve the economy.
Also the f9 in maths he was referring to simply means a leader is expected to attain a certain level academical intelligence (which mathematics is important).cos if elected he would represent us at world summit and if he's lacking in that aspect he would just be a push over.

The last part where aye dee interrupted the the APC guy was a strategy...He knew that was the last 5mins the guy had to pass across a message so he didn't let it happen...so if you watch from the begin you will note Aye dee never interrupted the apc guy rather it was the apc guy interrupting aye dee.so it was a calculated move.

another lie was that Boko haram is in control of an area in Nig the size of Belgium! !! shocked
so which certificte does Oshiomhole have? He claimed he had no certificate so where does the f9 he is quoting come from? An are more intelligent than him? Help urself there is still time.

You guys are finding it hard to acknowledge the ongoing annihilation of Boko haram, you won't even give our gallant army credit for the sacrifice they are making.

Just to let you know again, the size of area under Boko haram control is not the size of Belgium, it is the size of bama and Gwoza.
like i said am not interested in ur baseless arguments. If it is on record that a particular record exists in the last one year and this year such record was modified in one way or the other. Doe that change the former record? Boko haram controlled Nigeria's land half the size of Belgium. Its a fact.

I guess those two towns = size of Belgium like the lying APC guy said on TV.
am not interested in the arguments many of u so covet here. But its fact. Maybe due to the ongoing onslaught we ve recovered some land. But before now, Boko boys captured land the size of Belgium.
