She can be paid 100k today and be broke in next 3 days calling me and disturbing me for recharge card and all sort of things she can actually do herself. I normally give this to her but it’s now becoming worse and unbearable no matter the amount she gets, she’ll spend it for you in less than one week with no reasonable thing to show for and you’ll be amazed.
To cut it all short, I’m still unemployed but I normally do some little jobs that brings me cash just change compared to what my girl makes in a month. Let me add that she’s a very supportive girl, helped me during my school when I had issues.

It is possible to sue them but note that the system in Nigeria don't work. But prepare your mind to quit because they will fire you for fighting. Besides, the money those lawyer will charge you for bribe you may not afford it. Even if you win, the people that will enjoy it are those that were employed after you have left the organisation. Sometime ago, the President signed into law the new minimum wage of #30,000 but some employers especially private school owners still pay their staff as low as #10,000 monthly. Even here in calabar some weeks ago, the street sweepers were protesting for not being paid their '#7,500' salary for 6 months. My question is, Does the #30,000 minimum wage apply only to government workers or are private employees suppose to adhere to this law also? And in a case where you work in big Private school that makes up to 70 million in a term, can You sue your employer for paying less than the minimum wage without loosing your job or being fired?
The truth is that you had all it takes but u didn't plan well. Lesson drawn from your story is poor planning that affected you. When you get a good job think of investment e.g business something to fall back on if things goes south. 9ja jobs no get one single security.
Denvacandy: We got married in 2018 and things where going smooth, i was working with a company in port harcourt and i can bodly say i was very okay, taking flight is not an issue.
When she wanted to give birth to our first child, it was through CS and i paid every damn bills amounting to 500k or so.

Bonaventura: I have noticed a very annoying patterns with Nigerian organisations about interviews and employment. A job will be widely advertised, you will apply for the job, get invited for the interview. After the interview the recruiter maybe because you didn't perform well most often will not get back to you. You will have to wait endlessly.
I have a friend who is in Scotland. He moved from Nigeria in January this year. He told me that all the job interviews he attended, they all got back to him even when they did not give him an offer. They even went ahead to explain his performance at the interview and how he can improve better.
I understand its almost impossible to reach out to everyone that applied for a job, this is even stated by most recruiters during advertisement, my issues is that the few that you invited for interview deserve to know how they fared.
I know one can argue that not being reached means you weren't hired but its emotionally killing having to wait for a long time.

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN has described as mind boggling, millions of naira that leaves the state weekly on beef consumption, in form of capital flight.
This is even as the Governor declared his administration’s readiness to construct the Ilutoro rural road as part of the 1000km road to be done in the state under the Rural Access Mobility Project (RAMP).
Governor Akeredolu maintained that money that would have remained in the state to lubricate the economy of the state is lost to other states that supply cows and other meat source.
The Governor spoke at the commissioning of an Ultra Modern Piggery Project at Ilutoro in Akure North Local Area of the state on Monday.
The piggery project is expected to employ 4000 youths and women in value chain process.
The event was attended by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa; the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Gbenga Ale, other members of the State Executive Council and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Chief Olusola Oke, SAN.
Governor Akeredolu noted that his administration decided to encourage the production of a homegrown alternative in piggery and pig processing, so as to address the ugly trend of the capital flight leaving the state weekly on beef consumption.
The Governor stressed that the project will also create veritable means of employment and empowerment for the teeming youths, adding that dietary intake of lovers of pork would be enhanced.
While assuring that the project will open up the rural areas for development, Arakunrin Akeredolu said the project was put in place to accentuate the different economic benefits in pig production and processing.
“Pig as we all know is very prolific, as such, rate of return on investment is high. This will undoubtedly translate to increased wealth for our farmers.” He said.
He said his administration is irrevocably committed to have the sunshine state REDEEMED from poverty, hunger , insecurity and youth unemployment.
“At this juncture, we need to point out the value addition initiatives of our administration which has culminated in the establishment of a number of agro-allied industries. Worthy of mention is the Sunshine Chocolate Factory at Alade-Idanre for value addition to cocoa.
“Our chocolate from Idanre is at verge of hitting national and international markets. Not only that, Ethanol Processing Company at Okeluse is at the verge of completion, Ondo State, being the largest producer of cassava in the country is poised to supply the needed raw material. Furthermore, the Egg Powder Processing Factory at Emure-Ile in Owo Local Government and many others are all part of the initiatives of our administration to give value addition to curb produce in Ondo State.” He said.
The Governor also appreciated Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN), Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), African Development (AfDB) for their cooperation and reposing confidence in his administration.

I still say that NYSC is a waste of time and most time some people lost their lives in the process. And immediately one year service is gone government is completely done with you. That is when you understand that there is suffer in this country.
In my opinion NYSC should be converted to one year skill acquisition programme for graduates. That way you can have time to learn something that can help you secure better jobs. You can't make everyone teachers some are born teachers with so much passion for it while some are not. Government should scrap it, if they can't modify it. Things are evolving this is 21st century.
I don't know how I can marry poverty with wickedness in this country. Poor people has their own palaver and they love saying I don't know how it happened.
