If you know milan very well, you would also know that they always sell their best players. Remember they also sold Pirlo, Ibramovic, thiago silva, shevchenko, and even kaka. So don't be surprised

Sports › Re: NFF Rejects Keshi’s 42-man List For Malawi by Mpeace(m): 4:51pm On Aug 21, 2013
Kudos to NFF for regecting the list. To me, keshi should be held responsible for impoverishing the FA such that they had to cut match bonuses. How will a coach who claims he knows what he is doing invite 42players for just one match. So he expects the FA to pay for hotel accommodation, fligh fee, match bonus etc mchee, Mr keshi should have known his first 11, and atleast 7-11 bench by now. Everyday experiment, experiment. Is it only nigeria that experiments. How come countries like spain, england, brazil etc with even a greater reservior of players do not invite more than 18 or 23 to camp.

[quote author=spyder880]Cost of the foundation when we have not completed the foundation? grin

I usually post my costs after each stage on all my threads. Thank you.k. I'm very much interested in the cost. But Do you have an idea or rough estimate of what it would cost to erect a block of 6flats,3bedroom each? I dont want to start until I have all the money. Thanks.

@Op. I thought the topic is 'How much does it cost to build a block of 6flats'. So far nothing has been posted on the cost of any material or part(eg cost of foundation). A change of topic may suffice, since the posts do not in any way relate to cost.

Investment › Re: Mutual Funds In Nigeria: Please Share Your Experience by Mpeace(m): 10:26am On Aug 03, 2013
They are all official scams. No one cares if they payback to investors, any return on their investments. My experience is with zenith ethical fund and first heritage fund, owned by zenth bank and first bank respectively. That of zenith bank was even better because when I liquidated the investment after 4years without interest or dividend, I got back a sum close to what I invested. That of first heritage was a total waste of money. Infact after 5year, no interest, no dividend, my capital depreciated by over 20% while the fund managers keep getting richer and driving the latest corollas. My brother, just invest your money in treasury bills or fixed deposit untill you find some other way.
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Mpeace(m): 8:52am On Jul 31, 2013
If a bank offers you 13% interest on fixed deposit, its still not up to the rate on TB since your interest on the fixed doposit is still subject to witholding tax(VAT) of 10% of interest. That leave you with a real interest of less than 11.6%.

collinsobinna: Really enjoying passive income from t bills and FD,really helps one grow with compound interest.

@oga elai and feel among:my banks FD rate is now 13percent possibly due to the CRR implementation,so I m hoping and asking, can T bills possibly hit 20percent.
Cos liquidity seems to be the governments problem at the moment?need Your opinions sirs.

Hope to retire soon from active work.just trading my cash. wink
Bros are you sure? Cos no bank goes beyond CBN's MPR rate fixed at 12% as announced by Sanusi himself some wks bck, lest they run a loss. Personally if a bank offers me 13% on fd presently, I'll take my money and run. Someone is trying to cover a bad loan and balance the books.

Elai147: Discount houses are regulated by the CBN and SEC so I don't think they can disappear with your money. I heard they are owned by financial institutions and insurance companies (don't know how true). However, I buy my T-bills via reliable banks because I no fit shout! Buying through stockbrokers, if possible, is not an option for me.
I recently invested in shares through a stockbroking firm in Abuja. On the 6th of june, I placed an order for some of my shares to be sold. They were sold that very day but the firm keep telling me one story or the other each time I request for my money, the latest is that they don't even reply my requests. They just use one's money to run thier business. Prior to this investment, I had a portfolio account with a state government owned stockbroking firm, I had to leave them because it took an average of 2months to recover any sum in my account(proceeds of share sales)

I don't trust stockbrokers and discount houses. Its easy for them to collect your money, but very very hard for them to pay back to you.

This thread is really commendable. Pls I will like to know the best and most efficient bank in Treasury bill investment. That is, a bank that pays interest as at when due and will terminate the investment when you request. I once tried first bank, and it took them 2wks to make a successful bid, it also took about some days to terminate. Infact they once paid an incomplete interest(19k instead of 21k) I had to complain before they paid the difference. So which bank is the best?

My course in the university did not involve maths. Rather than cry, I'll just put my hope in God cos He has and will always do it for us. Wishing all that sat for the test, the very best and success.

Phones › Scam Alert: Mtn Defrauding It's Customers. by Mpeace(op): 12:47am On May 02, 2013
MTN Nigeria has deviced another means of defrauding its customers. This time around, its through their newly introduced 25MB for N150, and 50MB for N200 mobile internet plan; and their Time based bundle plans on MTN modem. I subscribed for the N150/25MB mobile plan for an assignment and got a text confirming same after deduction of N150, but they kept on charging 5k per kb from my main naira account. I then called customer service center, the first person droped the call after my complaint, I called again and one Abubakar picked. After listening tto my complain, he asked me to switch off my phone for 4min to access my 25MB. I did so but after spending 1MB of the 25MB, they cleared my accounts(both data and money). I decided to use my Mtn modem, and after loading and subscribing for the time based bundle, they deducted the cost and sent a confirmatory sms but once more I couldn't browse. I then went to Mtn's office at Hillstation Hotel Junction, Jos, Plateau, to lay my complain. There, all they said was ''sorry those mobile plans don't work and as for the time based plans, we have been telling people to stop subscribing to them, they hardly work''. Well at the end of the day, I lost my hard earned money to mtn and I know many more people have or will lose their's. So beware. I also hope mtn desist from charging people until they are ready to provide the particular service subscribed for.

Great move. This singular act will surely go a long way in restoring investor confidence in the safety of their investments. I commend SEC for this great act. Its the only way our country and economy can grow.
