kolaish:These results cannot bring generational lows. I think they are mixed. some of them have come out good while others came unexpectedly bad. NASCON is one example(we are yet to see dang sugar). Generational lows will come if the tribunals removes tinubu(which is most unlikely). |
pluto09:Hmmm eps from 35naira last year to (negative) -63. No be small loss. Ebe like say Nestlé drink otapiapia. But them go survive |
Companies are just releasing anyhow results. See even mtn sef, decline in pat and eps. Although unrealised fx loss of 131billion as against only 13billion of last year, did the damage. An wa oh. |
Shalom428:The thing tire me. But I saw some accounting abrakatabra in the result sha |
yMcy56:Your own better you see explanation for the loss. I no fit find explanation for seplat poor performance. Revenue was positive, same with gross profit but it appear like they have stared that thing transcorp use to do. Non controlling interest and equity holders of the parent company don dey share the profit. |
locodemy:But there is an improvement from last year. Lol |
Willie2015:E be like you don see seplat result |
MrDiligence:Political cabinate list. Lets see how the portfolios are assigned. |
OBAGADAFFI:Wow. Just saw it now. Not too much improvement, just slight. Seplat is what I am really waiting on. I expect them to declare a good result although it appears like the best results should come from the banks. |
The way they rush totalenergies today, e be ike say them don see something. |
yMcy56:Afriprud did not do well. Last year was far better |
megawealth01:I pray its not legit cos its filled with polititians. Lets just wait for the senate to make it open |
lexy2lexy:Chai, This person want put sand sand for inside garri. Abeg allow them to manipulate. This corruption shall benefit me and my family. On a very serious note, the rules dont favour big companies. To think that I can change the shareprice of a company like Daarcoms and send it to full bid with just 1million naira but i will need atleast 150million naira to move seplat in the same market, is not fair. What moves A should also move B. That is equallity and justice. But until those are achieved, manipulations or what ever it is called is allowed, once done within the rules. Mind you there was no manipulation today. Someone sold 100k units and another bought. That is something the market makers can easily do and legally too. |
yMcy56:Chai. See seplat wey no dey move before. Abeg yMcy56, do it for us tomorrow again. Meanwhile Access, Zenith, Gtb, fidelity and Uba usually audit their results every 2nd quarter, so we don't expect there result this month end. It is expected that they will not experience much increase in price. But seplat, mtn, dangsugar, nascon, totalenergies results should start coming from tomorrow. Seplat, totalenergies and mtn should give us good interim dividends this week. |
I pray what I just saw as the ministerial list is not true. If not we are in for another set of buhari like cabinate |
megawealth01:Seplat is one of those companies that must benefit from the fx unification stuff. If they calculate their quarterly interim dividend using the current rates, they should have one of the best dividend yield on nse. Mind you, they earn in USD$ |
megawealth01:We expect seplat result this friday with another quarterly interim dividend. Btw seplat need to so small bonus giveaway. |
yMcy56:Who no know yMcy56, no get person. Since over two weeks wey seplat dey look for volume to do 10% we no see. Na him yMcy56 do in less than 5mins wey we beg her. You try as you add mtn join. You too much. Just do it again!!! |
yMcy56:Chai. I no go call you anything. Just put hand for pocket move seplat for me. Although the major issue with the stock is lack of sellers. Buyers dey. |
This fx crisis is just too real. I read somewhere this morning that the completion date for dangote refinery is to be shifted to 2025. Hmmm wahala dey oh Where do we source the fx to defend the naira. |
thebargainhunte:E no show for seplat price. Its always on full bid but never has enough units to appreciate in price. Oando is going out of reach of the ordinary man now that they have reduced the company's debt and its about to start gaining from its crude. Transcorp has not started exploiting its oil block. Conoil and Totalenergies crude oil segments are not listed on nse. Its hard to see how we can benefit from this increase in oil price. |
thebargainhunte:The guy na very big boi forget say he too like penny stocks. I remember when he dey do give away for this forum |
Agbalowomeri:I swear. Huge cost at that. And in the long run, its no longer cheap. |
seyisanya:Its very unfortunate that whenever something big is about to happen on the market, they begin to have these issues. You can imagine how much their clients have lost to these issues. You see bad news that will cause general bear, you cannot login the next day to place a sell order until every other person from other brokers have sold and price has bottomed. You see good new that should bring bulls, you cannot login the next day to buy at good price until others have bought and there is huge number of bids at the highest price. Its very very unfortunate. |
9free:Lol. I pray all the ridiculous eps translate to huge dividends |
aj8:U are lucky. Morgan capital is down |
They will not connect now until fbnh shares finish for market |
BabsO2:Y do you guys always underestimate my darling Access bank? Lol |
They had to release this result early to end the closed period on time before Oba takes up all the shares. If not, when last did fbnh release results this early. |
Kingchuks:Jesus, see result. Eps from 1.55 to 5.19. You no go see this one buy tomorrow If they replicate this accross the othe remaining quarter, fbnh might just climb to 100/share. |
Hmmm. |
The three tiers of government are set to share N1.959 trillion in July 2023 — probably a record, TheCable can report. This is nearly triple the N786.161 billion shared in June and more than triple the N655.93 billion in May. Allocations are usually shared from the preceding month’s revenue — meaning June will be shared in July. The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) will meet in Abuja on Wednesday to allocate the revenue to the tiers of government — federal, state and local — based on the sharing metrics. Statutory collections make up N1.7 trillion of the federally collected revenues, followed by N293 billion from VAT and N12 billion from electronic money transfer charges. TheCable is yet to establish if there had been any higher monthly revenue in the history of Nigeria. A snap analysis by TheCableIndex data team suggests that the fall in the official exchange of the naira might have contributed to the seemingly unprecedented rise in revenue. FAAC adopted N436.38/$ as exchange rate for the calculation of the forex component of federally-collected revenues for June 2023 but this has now gone up to at least N750/$. TheCable could not confirm the actual exchange rate used for July. FAAC is made up of the minister of finance as chairman, all state commissioners of finance, state accountants-general, the accountant-general of the federation and the permanent secretary of the federal ministry of finance. |
