Both are really competing seriously in the game of returns per share. From the mid year reports the following EPS were recorded
GTCO = N 9.94
Zenith = N 9.29
So Gtb has overtaken Zenith eps

The Department of State Services, DSS has arrested and detained the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria in charge of Financial System Stability, Aisha Ahmad, over the alleged fraudulent acquisition of shares in Polaris Bank, Titan Bank/Union Bank.

The CBN Deputy Governor is currently being interrogated on how $300 million to complete the acquisition of Union Bank was raised by Titan Bank

What if other companies surprise us when they publish their audited financial report at the end of the year
I doubt if the banks wil surprise us. I am looking more to a positive surprise than anything else. Especially the food and cement companies. Price of cement has risen by about for instance 25% since the last two months.
Na de telecoms companies I dey pity. They that have not increased their tariff despite current realies and are so exposed to fx loans.

Very good points to ponder. Most of those companies that are exposed to foreign exchange losses may still file negative reports in their Q3, though minimal this time around compared to their Q2. It is the banking sector that will still sustain and build on their half year reports.
Thats the importance of diversification. But on another note, you may find that companies in the same sector have not printed similar results. Dang sugar books fx losses but nascon flourmills and bua didnt. In the downstream sector, Conoil, Mrs oil etc recorded impressive result while the likes of Totalenergies, Eternal oil etc booked fx losses. Its only the banking sector that have printed consistent fx gains within this period thus the need to have a mix of all to avoid general loss.

If you have the money, buy as much of Oando as you can.
But you have to be patient until at least next year. The gain will be massive when they declare their results for FY2023
Oando has had some governance challenges in the last 10 years or so in the board room (management/shareholders), SEC troubles, forex losses and interest on loans etc. that affected their performance in the past.
They seemed to have turned the corner with the declaration of profits in FY2021 and acquisition of ENI/NAOC which could be a gamechanger. Also, a look at the share prices of its peers on the NSE....that should tell you that OANDO can potentially sell between N500-100 in the next few months, especially when the buyout offer is rejected at the AGM ordered by the court.
If oando sell for 500, seplat will go for 25,000

Surprised you easily fall for this cheap propaganda from NNPCL.
No be today dem dey say opposite of what they do nah.

ENI already signed agreement with OANDO on this deal.
* How is it possible for NNPC not to be aware or involved in this process from the onset?
* While signing the agreement, is it possible for a representative of NNPC and relevant govt body not to be present?

** Pengassan was reported to be aggrieved because they were not carried along......If the deal wasn't done yet, why will Pengassan be threatening strike?

* As for Ministerial approval, how are we sure the relevant minister wasn't aware and gave his consent? And how will the approval be difficult if the President wades into the matter?

** Please note that I'm just looking at the obvious here and not supporting or opposing OANDO.

In fact, even if I wasn't interested in OANDO before, I'll buy tashere units today with amount I can afford to lose based on this. tongue

Anyways, any lawyers in the house? Should Oando shareholders be worried? I am up 50%+ on my small purchase, my target was 100%, should I be worried?
The CocoPhilips deal took almost two years before they got the requisit ministerial approval.
Seplat have been working for the ministerial approval of their purchase of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited from Exxon Mobil Cirporation since February 2022(1year and seven months now)

Just rush tomorrow morning save your capital if you bought above N5.

Nascon is getting 2.4billion units
Dangrice is getting 2.7billion units

Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 4:44pm On Aug 30, 2023
So in essence the new dang food is just an expansion of dangsugar and a subsequent change of name to dangfoods.
While dangsugar holders will retain theirnumber of shares held, new 2.4billiin shares og dangsugar will be created and alloted to nascon shareholders [in the proportion of 11:12] while 2.7billion new dangsugar shares of dangsugar will be created and issued to dang rice holders [in the proportion of 11:1]

Meaning the new dangsugar will have about 17billion OS. And subsequently renamed dangfood.
I think the market price of dangsugar will be retained with market forces on daily trades to determine the future price of the new dangfoods.
Thats my take

But this dang rice must be highly profitable attract such number of units of dangfoods

If you know how much that youtube channel has made since the video was posted, and if you truely understand the world of content creation then you will know that you are still a novice.

That video must have generated over 30m for the channel owner by now and your concern is the 7k glass and purported blood you never saw where it came from.
Meanwhile someone here just cinfirmed it to be a content creation.
