No you don’t need to go to Abuja. You can notarize your documents with a notary public or with a law court where you reside. Also note that notarization of documents depends on your school’s requirements for admission application. If it’s not requested then don’t do it.
I applied through uniassist also and my school didn’t require me to upload notarized documents on uniassist. It is however also advisable to authentic or notarise it. Some schools would later request for it during enrolment. |

APOPTOSIS: Good Question from an Intelligent souL. It takes neural pathway to lift those limbs independently and not just surgically apposing and approximating bones, muscles and fascias through fracture fixation and skin suturing. It also takes vascular repair to ensure supply to the neural pathway as in vasanevorum. A whole lot. Let's hope it doesn't turn gangrenous in few days 2kom Seems you're in the know of this. They must have thought of it and neural path relinking is the main idea. There's a technology for amputee arms still in trial, it is a removable arm that connects with electrodes patch and the robotic arm is capable of sending touch feelings to the upper arm. |

Immacharles: I think you should be more concerned about getting to the country first. You never can tell, what works for you might not work for another. You might get more opportunities in a smaller city more than the person staying in a big city. Apply to all schools if possible and then you can choose on the one to go for. He may not even have need for the size of the city. Siegen (near Bonn?), I heard that city can worry about study progress (which is a good thing though). Humboldt is a great place for Science too. |

Krissy01: hi guys I need advice I'm already in a bleeped up situation and I don't know what to do so I need some advice. so I moved to the Netherlands for my bachelor's degree in marketing I've been here for 1yrs and some months now and with the naira rate I've been unable to pay my tuition for some months now plus I couldn't take my exams because I was de-registered. now my school told IND(the immigration ) about my situation and I'm being asked to leave the Netherlands. so all my resources from the beginning is just gone plus I didn't even get the degree I initially came for.im not ready to move back home especially now that things are getting worse. I'm just really sad right now and don't know what to do. I need help 😭 It's sad to hear this. Others have to listen too. Unfortunately, your options are limited, and you cannot exit the country through air travel. Your legal option is to present to leave the country and probably suffer an EU ban for a short period. Your alternative is to mingle with those under protection/asylum or remaining underground as an illegal immigrant pending if the slow reaching, long hand of IND reaches you. You may not be able to legally leave NL for any legal reason. This is the pitfall of some admissions we advise against. You know what you could have done... 1. Work while studying 2. Defer or take semester leave if possible during your study period so you could have worked. The choices aren't pleasant but... |

Here in Deutschland is known how people go about it. Germans are one of the most noisy people in the world they pay attend to every details and know every details. Thats why they explain the implication of doing SL for someone, to integrate is difficult so if you want to jeopardize things they dont care. Stop validating this... Hannania: Valuable things take sweat and hardwork to gain.
Let me give you an example of how you can dig this information personally. Let's say Germany for example:
1. Go to the immigration website for the country, look at different immigration routes for third world nationals, and see if there's an exception for Nigeria (We don cast). If there's none, read the requirements and jot down the ones you think you're eligible for.
2. Go to the consulate website here in Nigeria, then look for the visa checklist for that immigration route you found. If there's anyone you miss, then find a way to fill in the gap.
3. Ask and research what the timeline for that visa is, cost implications and alternative routes to reduce waiting time.
With the 3 steps above for all 27 countries in Europe(as a sample) I assure you you'll be confused on the options because of the overwhelming possibilities.
Other Africans have been utilizing the Ausbildung system in Germany for example. Straight out of highschool to study nursing while getting paid. They graduate, work for a year or two, then move to Canada or Australia.
Ps: they start studying the language in the finals. You can see what information can do I bet a very few will do anything about this information. They rather look for WhatsApp or Telegram group, agent/agency. This is why there are many victims of scams. |

Nmax= The maximum score, GPA, or CGPA that can be obtained in your degree. Nmin= The minimum score, GPA, or CGPA that can be obtained in your degree so that one can be declared passed. Nd= The score, GPA, or CGPA that you have obtained.

I finally got admitted to study Masters in Data and Computer Science in Universität Heidelberg but there's a little hassle for me: I would like to defer my admission to winter semester instead of the summer semester they asked me to resume for in April. Is anyone familiar with that?
This would be the best for me because I have some loose ends to tie up. I already work full-time in Germany (Blue Card) and I am just trying to sort some stuff out here then find a place in Heidelberg to make a smooth transition. I'll advise you enrol for the summer hence you're in Germany. Request for one semester leave. Congrats on Heidelberg. |

blessedbest: Thank you so much for your answers . Please I have some more questions: 1 should I go ahead to apply for a German language school from A1 to C1? I was told it's €500 for each level 2. Please how long does it take to get a German study visa after application? 3. Will my admission still be waiting for me until I conclude the language course and pass the C1 DSH exams, Within the one year time frame? This is a long way to go. How about you try more schools? 1. German language schools have a plan usually, A1.1, A1.2, B1, B2...to C1 each lasting up to 8 weeks. For your study, B2 might be the minimum, you can get it in one year of INTENSIVE study. 2. From embassy in Nigeria, budget >18 months 3. If its conditional admission, yes provided you achieve the German proficiency required. I will strongly advise you try new schools. |

Since my session starts in October 1st, is it possible I get the visa on June/early July to enable me book my flight early enough? Or must the visa be approved close to the travel time? Calm down... Book flight when you get your visa. Flights are still cheap in August-September. You should be enquiring about apartment at your university by now. |

Hannania: When your appointment date arrives, it takes exactly one month from the day the email lands in your inbox to the AD date. After that, the timeline is not fixed for AM(Approval). From late last year, it has been 4 weeks, but I've seen 2 week, and even 3 weeks this year. Remember, it used to be 3 months around October. The coming of you AM depends on your city. If everything goes well, then expect it in July.
My advice is to book your flight when AD arrives. I'll have a contrary opinion on the flight booking. Book your flight when you have your visa. Tickets do not astronomically go so high in/until Sept maybe. |

goodman023: For your last point, do you mean that these advertised openings might’ve been internally occupied sometimes before they even advertised them ? So, it might be useful sometimes to send unsolicited email to these PIs to see whether they can somehow fit you in their project? For the first question, it is likely if they have for example a good MSc graduate who wants to fast track into PhD. Or a MSc graduate whose thesis' outcome was limited by time and there's need for that research extension to see the end. Other times, PhD fundings and opportunities are first internally announced and advertised. It is very useful to send unsolicited emails PhDs are very tailored to: A specified research group Funding for the research Availability of supervisor for that study. If a department received funding for computational toxicology, they will only want to accept applicants interested or eligible for it. |

You technically must have been offered a place by the principal investigator/researcher before applying to a university. Visit universities websites, search for ongoing projects in the different departments and institutes, if any of them arouses your interest, send an unsolicited cover letter, proposal in relation to the field (a cold email). Other ways include following researchers in your field of interest in LinkedIn, X. Visit alumni pages on these platforms, industries in these areas and other sources. Some edu sites like PhD portals work too but chances are that, they're few or already filled spaces before advertising. |

I have initiated a membership process with TK Health Insurance. Just to finalize it when I get to Germany. While it is a good move with TK, if you're statutory insured, your family isn't going to be here (for now if you have), BUT if you are over 30, your funder won't be paying for your health insurance, and you don't have any underlying health challenges, finally not going to working (aside Teaching Assistantship , you might want to pick up a private health insurance.
