Immacharles: MRAAA2 please can I private chat you, I have a question Sure you can, but if you think it might be of help to others, I strongly recommend you ask here. But note that I have never used any African country, though I was living in the UAE before I did everything to study in Germany and I travelled from UAE. The experience is always the same and embassies can be flexible in residence requirements, e.g. UAE requires 6 months too but some friends did theirs in 3 months and their ID was never even checked any point, including mine. But for developing countries, the marking is closer. If they don't, host countries won't even get a chance for interview and it raises questions if an embassy receive X2 folds of applications from non citizens of the country within a short period. |

For those of you wanting to go for different countries for permit, I admonish you to do the right thing and obey laws instead of taking shortcuts. And read about the different countries where the Germany embassy is located. E.g., Ghana serves up to 3 different countries (Liberia inclusive I suppose). Instead of going to Liberia, maybe you might consider nearby Ghana. Getting any West African residence permit should not be of great issue. You need to go there with your passport, after arrival, go to nearby Immigration Office and make enquiries on how to register your presence in the country since you plan to stay long, and ask for the procedure for applying for residence permit. It is straightforward but get an address in your name possibly, a something to show that you will not be a menace to your host country. |

Hannania: Yeah. There's a popular notion of German schools are free. So it's best everyone gets a reality check on what private schools ask for.
For example, in schools with my course of choice in private, the lowest I've seen is €8k. However, nearly all Public Universities offer free courses for nearly all courses. It's not so false of a notion. |

Temiodeyemi: Has anyone applied with NECO results via Uni assist and got admission especially for BSc. I plan to apply with NECO as I have a complete result but all C’s and I also have a WAEC with a mix, E,D,C,B. I’m not sure if WAEC Carries more weight Have you checked the requirements at the preferred university and not just uni-assist? You should find out. I have read many times that, for you to apply for a BSc you should have at least a 100 L transcript or this Abitur thing. |

There are websites, daad.de/en and uniassist WITH A SEARCH FILTER OPTION! Some courses could be cheap, others can be way too expensive. You can say 8k for course XYZ, I say 3k for course ABC and the applicant is looking for course MNO. |

MrColdsweat: Thanks for the response. What schools have the quickest application process? I can say Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University, Landau (formerly University of Koblenz-Landau). I got admitted 2 weeks after applying, before application deadline and did not bother applying to others because it was my preferred. Some factors might have affected mine, I guess. I was already in the country, a fair German scale GPA. |

But you guys should still try to find out simple things by yourselves. It helps you to be more familiar, involved and informative. There are more to find if you explore. |

After my fiancé gotten the list of papers we both need for marriage in Germany from marriage registry office Berlin. i have arranged mine and sent it to her, after she received it, she translated it and take it to marriage registry office berlin, it’s almost 3 weeks since she submitted the papers, we didn’t hear anything from them. Are they already started the process? or there’s any other thing we will do to start the process our marriage application? Or what next after submitting the documents?. Thank you for all the answers. Your fiancé should know how it works in Germany, everything takes time and follow paper handling. Does s/he live in Berlin? If yes, she can call the Rathaus or Bürger Amt she submitted at. |

Eudes: From my research so far, all the schools I saw require IELT and GRE for Masters in Science and Engineering courses.
Please can someone get admission for Masters program into any of these fields in Germany without IELT and GRE?
If yes, please can you list some of the schools 🙏 Yes but do your research. Its pretty easy yet difficult. Use uniassist Use daad.de If nothing works, Google the public Universities list in Germany. Carefully, visit one after the other's website and look up their requirements. Painstaking? Yes, do it. |

9cguy: I highly doubt any credibility to Germany Visa fast track. Although if you plan well, you may not have to wait so long to have appointment date. Like if you are just starting your A1, and for Nursing I believe you’ll need to learn up to B2, so during the course of you learning the language (which will take you say 1year minimum) if you have applied for the the application, it will be counting down and coincide with the time your appointment will reach 1year. I agree with you. At least a B2 is REQUIRED for any vocational training or for jobs that requires a German proficiency. Go for the language school, with ONLY intent of language learning, or settle for Goethe Institut nearest to you. |

Abdulhameed123: Ok, Thank you for the prompt response. But is it possible for the son to do a family reunion with the father who is already in Germany, while the wife goes on a study visa? Thanks The child is 5 years old... Technically, only the mother owns the child right now. I doubt if Germany will issue a family reunion visa to a 5 year old. If I'm the officer in charge, I will reject the application on first instance. Let the mother file for herself and together with the child. She has to state it IF that option is there. |

Abdulhameed123: No, They are planning to apply for a visa appointment together now. The mother plans to apply for a study visa while the son will apply for a reunion. I just want to know if this will be possible. Possible but might raise concerns about her she will be able to cope. She should somehow infuse it in her embassy motivation letter, how she plans to take care of her son (kindergarten and university's social/child support programme). She will need additional amount for blocked account for the child. |

Politics › Re: We're Here To Campaign, Not To Shut Down Lagos - Peter Obi by MrAAA2: 5:54pm On Feb 14, 2023 |
Why is Nigeria's politics always full of bitterness, insults and rude behaviors?
Many times, I caution people to stop insulting themselves and candidates they support unduly. If I support candidate A, support your own candidate Z, we don't have to continue like this. Election will come and go, will all will remain here irrespective of who wins. If your candidate is more credible, focus on that and not resort to ridiculous comments about the other person.
I left a group of Nigerians in Diaspora since last year because of these behaviours especially in the camp of LP and I told the Admin to add me after elections.
On the topic, that is how election campaigns are supposed to be like especially when the political structure is not solid. It is similar to how the Green Party struggled against the CDU Party in Germany after Merkel's tenure.
It's like in a market, some have shops, others engage in street hawking and serious marketing.
If not for unemployment, why would people go to a venue to jam-pack themselves? |

Undyinglove: I am planning to travel to Germany, is it only through school one could travel to Germany, or it’s the easier way 1. Visit: You can apply for visit if you have sufficient proofs to back up your application 2. Job: If you are offered a job in Germany, you can as well apply. 3. Au Pair: If you have some common care giver abilities or qualification, and someone in Germany is interested in your service, then apply. Other kinds of visas are available on the embassy website. Apart from these, I cannot give further advice. Maybe others can. |

justt: Hello! I was told after applying for residence permit in Germany, I will be issued with the appropriate number of years I intend spending. But now that I only have six months on the visa, is it really safe to book a one-way ticket? Do you know when you are coming back? You have a long stay visa, >6 months. But what is the range for your purpose of travel? 6 months? 1 year ? It will be safe if you are not certain otherwise, purchase a return ticket and insure it with about 15 euros for flexibility of travel date. |

I actually got a letter from my school that serves as a Proof of English Language Proficiency. elayomohammed: Hello everyone, greetings. I live in Karu LGA, Nasarawa State. Recently I booked an appointment for Visa application. Two days later I got this email from the embassy.
”Dear Sir,
Thank you for your email. Please be informed that the German Consulate General in Lagos is responsible for all visa applications for study purposes.
You can find all information on the application process on our website: https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/service/visa/student-research-and-language-course-visa/1015536.
Yours sincerely,”
Meanwhile from the embassy's website, it states clearly that I can apply through the embassy in Abuja.
Tentatively, does this mean that I must have to apply through the consolate in Lagos? If you read the website very carefully, you will notice that Abuja is responsible for ONLY CONSULAR Services, everything except for Visa purposes. Lagos is responsible for visas. |
