Ademurfz:If you're older than 30, visit Mawista health insurance website and follow the instructions. |
adeniranfam:Add both |
Lance008:Possible, but basically, you will go through the same student visa procedure as in Nigeria (potentially very shorter embassy waiting period). It will require blocked account or sponsorship, visa application and a demonstration of why you are leaving Austria for Germany. |
adeniranfam:That's incorrect. Your WAEC stands as University Entry Qualification (irrespective of your BSc), therefore would be required. The DOB issue may not be looked into, but can't your NECO stand in? Otherwise, get a supporting document regarding the age issue on your WAEC. |
goodman023:Yes. By the way, PhDs are largely funded. |
Kennie28:. Yes as the mother. But enquire on the blocked account or sponsorship requirements. Importantly, enquire from your school on the child assistance services rendered (e.g. Kita) depending on the age of the child. Any other adult member of the family will have to go through the family reunion process with current wait period of up to 1.5 years. More correctly, https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/visa-service/buergerservice/FAQ. It says you can bring your family if your study exceeds 1 year. You have to be in Germany, get your permit, before your spouse can for family reunionification. As at when they're likely to be issued appointment date, you're about 1.5 years into your master programme. It now largely depends on your local authority to decide if they would approve your family to join you for the hypothetical programme period. Although you can stay 3-4 years for a MSc. |
goodman023:RECENT first class applicants get earlier, used to be a few weeks (partly depending on the date of start of study. Visit the appointment booking website for official details. But please do not ask me for the link. |
blessedbest:Clearly, your course is partially in German, and you were offered a provisional admission pending when you get required level of German, B1 maybe. |
adeniranfam:Apply with both and a document correcting that 'problem'. But if NECO results satisfy conditions for your BSc degree, then you can go ahead with NECO only. |
sweetval:Short answer, No. Even for family reunion purpose, it is very highly unlikely hence the supposed duration for a Master is 2 years. |
Gerald454:Perhaps you could email if you don't get an appointment by May. visa@duba.auswaertiges-amt.de and explaining your situation that your study is planned to begin in July. BTW, I'm curious to know what study begins in July. Most studies begin in October (Winter) and April (Summer) with a few exceptions in September. Anyway, I'll strongly recommend you do this in May. |
kestolove95:With 2 points? |
Gerald454:Is this a new development? It wasn't a booking system about a year ago. When is your study expected to start? |
Bopz1805:https://service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/326540/en/ |
Gerald454:How did you request for the appointment, when and to which address? |

Continue being a great parent Gaby. Good to read your post. How is 'Antarctica' today? |
Kathy4jesus:No. Did you ever read the conditions for Cat A? 1. First class (within the last 2 years?) 2. Scholarship from public agency in Germany 3. PhD programme. |
seunlayi:Did you put this on Google search? ChatGPT may have a suggestion too. |
Amandade:You can as well visit Mawista's website. |
NNuch:Willkommen! Send an email for a possible referral |
I understand the frustration and feelings of undue delays many of us are facing as regards pursuit of quality and affordable education in Germany. Again, let us be reminded that Germany provides an opportunity and cannot accommodate the number of applications received. While this is a setback, unfortunately, we cannot tell them what and how to do. The law supports our applications and guarantees a right to enjoy this privilege if all conditions are met and convincing, one of the options been taken by Germany is delay tactics, and high-performers' preferences (and scholars), otherwise, we may be left with lottery options. Nigerians are just 1 of many other countries with high applications facing similar challenges. Be clothed in patience and continue to prepare yourself for the future here or there. Best wishes. |
3 years after this, she's still doing a lot and better. Had a privilege of talking to her recently at the World Conference Center, Bonn, she's amazing. |
HamiGe:Almost all schools require an evaluation of your university qualifying certificate. |
baqirshuayb:Unfortunately for you to get funded, you will need to be admitted first. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Erasmus(+), other countries like US, Australia and Canada. Tuition is free in Germany, what you are seeking for is not very common except for DAAD scholarship and a few others. |
It's generally holiday period and August is possibly the last week for holidays as business as usual will commence soon from September. |
Divad98:(2) Is absolutely uncalled for. It will be better if you modify your comment or totally delete it. |
He is more likely to be on some mental distress. 2 years ago, someone I know, we lived in the same complex, all of a sudden refused taking my calls (it can be hard sometimes to knock on someone else's door, with a few exceptions). 31st Dec night that year, he called me, I thought oh, na now this stupid boy dey call me for new year 'beering'. It was a cold night, - 4 degrees Celsius. The call wasn't a good one, I called another fellow in next block to follow me to his apartment. Fast forward... > he was having a mental episode, he had planned to leave Germany for Nigeria, with his passport and ID and a little less than 1k Eur he said he had budgeted for flight ticket at Koln/Bonn Airport tickets desk. Well, next day, in the cold morning with about - 6 degrees, I was with him looking for where he has dumped his supposed travelling backpack containing a PC, Camera and other important credentials, luckily we found it untouched in a private property. This was as a result of his own doing while family prays. True, we suffer a level of loneliness even as students, depression kicks in, the demands and pressures from family and friends, the weather, particularly the gray skies and decreased levels of Vit D exposes people to seasonal affective disorders. But then, stay strong, give yourself the break it needs, talk to people, play games, go to bars and restaurants, play music and above all, find the purpose of life and how to deal with difficult times. JW.ORG has been the most resourceful and honest place to find real help. If this is not the case, it could be for many other reasons people travel. |
profsomebody:The essence of certification and/or authentication of any document is to certify/authenticate that the copy(ies) you are sending is TRULY a copy made from the original, i.e the certifying/authenticating body (court, relevant ministries or embassy) is saying that, "yes, we saw the original(s), we verified it/them and can confidently say the copy(ies) made therefore is from an original and should be treated as (an) original(s) for the time being" since you are not expected to post your original documents to anyone/body (with a very few exceptions) otherwise you are there to present it IN PERSON. Long story uhm? 😁 Embassy and universities will only request for certified/authenticated copies except if you have to be there in person, you can show them, and get it back. |
Mautop:First first thing: Visit the Germany embassy in Nigeria' website and read through the student's National Visa. |
Cadetnwa:Sometimes, Especially for BSc, a subject based test |
Kizzygentle:First school leaving certificate is not important. Laminated documents are accepted but if they're in doubt, they can verify the documents from the issuing authorities at your own expense. |
