Sprishua:It has expired, therefore rendered invalid qualification. That's how I understand it, I guess you too. |
Is the marriage immobile? |
babatulla:Remember s/he will have to wait for about 1.4 years for visa interview IF not on scholarship. Hope you also have access to funds, 11,208 Eur per candidate for a blocked account or a declaration of Commitment certificate to cover living expenses. |
babatulla:Not advisable since deadline is in 5 days. However, some schools will expire in July 31st e.g, FH Trier. |
babatulla:VPD is an entrance qualification assessment of a candidate based on secondary education, vocational training, tertiary education (HND, BSc). To be able to study for a BSc, a candidate needs his/her SSCE evaluated (for grading in the German scale) and at least have a 100L transcript, a HND or a BSc. These are minimum requirements (according to the updated anabin database of recognised qualifications for Nigeria). In your case, only the one who just finished 100L can be admitted into a German University because evaluation of that transcript (hopefully good enough) can qualify him/her for a university study in Germany. The other one has to gain admission and finished 100 L or have an HND before being considered for a university admission in Germany. Just SSCE and OND will only qualify the person for a 1 year Studentenkolleg which requires at least a B1 German language proficiency. A few private institutions offer Studentenkolleg courses taught in English but cost about 9,000 Eur. 1. VPD evaluation takes 4-6 weeks after uploading the required documents and payment to uniassist. 2. If their causes will be taught in English, which is usually few for BSc engineering courses, some schools accept Duolingo, while others do not bother since their secondary education was in English (a simple letter from Covenant University and the secondary school can work for both of them RESPECTIVELY), other schools insist on IELTS or TOEFL. 3. The one just finishing 100L may be admitted if s/he uploaded his/her 100L full transcript to uniassist for VPD evaluation. The one with WAEC have virtually no chance because s/he doesn't meet the University entrance requirements (100L, HND, BSc). 4. I don't know if Covenant University uses a phone, but I'm sure they have a computer room. The one finishing 100L can spend more time understanding daad.de/en and maybe better than you do and if there exist further needs, you can share. |
Swaggu002015:You are young, if you could find this thread on the Internet, you can find these answers independently and have your own 'truth of information' which we can collectively build upon. I am only stimulating your curiosity towards research because that's how your undergraduate studies would begin in Germany. |
... |
Benifu:1. If whatever you said and filled in the application form are correct. 2. If the purpose of visa application is justifiable and valid (assuming study visa, if your admission letter is valid or you have been enrolled, or your study will not be remote). 3. If your proof of sustenance (in Blocked Account or Declaration of Commitment/SL) is valid 4. If the City's foreign office (not the University) thinks you can study, be employable and/or return to your country upon graduation. This is very subjective, unfortunately, it's a reason for any decisions. |
Temiodeyemi:There's absolutely nothing wrong IF the person comes with a CLEAR query. From a BSc programme, at your 3rd year, you already are able to define your interest based and this will further shape your last years before graduation. Other times, job exposures would help, finally, emerging markets and prospects. The transcript or ability to recall grades would also point a candidate towards interests. It will be better for applicants to find within themselves what they could study based on their strengths, interests and motivation. Language restrictions are there and general degree requirements too. A prospective applicant ought to read this up PERSONALLY. While picking interest, align your transcript of records with relevant courses and grades with the prospective course. I once applied to a neurobehavioural course knowing fully well that I don't deserve to be admitted, in my transcript, I had only maybe 2 behavioural courses. Of course I was rejected. But the other admissions aligned with my courses and grades. It's always best for a candidate to dig deep and advice her/himself and come back with focused query. IMO. |
Jaydchukwuemeka:Great! Let's continue to raise the bar. After 4-6 years of tertiary education, we shouldn't be found not knowing what further study otherwise we will not be taken seriously. You were in that field for not less than 4 years, some aspect must have struck your interest either for the 'fun' of it or for the job prospects. Awaken your minds, great minds! |
Immacharles:A handful... Until July 15. Use uniassist to SEARCH and make use of the filter options of uniassist responsible and none uniassist responsible. |
Duby2288:It's a letter... Explain and send to the appropriate address. They don't expect you to be a legal counsel... But write reasonably on that reason for rejection and attach proofs. Either or both by post and email. |
Duby2288:An appeal would be a letter explaining the chain of events. Stating that you met all the requirements, waited and did your studies online so far, you met with the financial proof and forwarded the proof to the embassy as required WITHIN the given time frame... And on the basis upon which you were rejected is not completely the case... Just as you dey argue normally... But in writing. |
Duby2288:When they asked you to send the proof of funds, did you send via email or postal mail? You used both words here, not sure which you did exactly. At this point, we should address this issue of mail and email. Mail is the postal letter usually in envelop sent to a physical address E-Mail is a letter in form of texts including attached documents sent to a virtual computer address with the domain @.... You know this. As long as Germany is concerned, it is for our BEST INTEREST to remind ourselves of this important difference and PAY UTMOST attention to details in Mail and E-Mail. |
WRola:Resend a soft copy of the insurance proof to the email address you can send an email to (autoresponse addresses mostly fail) and remind them who you left the documents with, if you know the name, state the name of the interviewer. In the response, include your name, passport number, date of birth, application number, date (time) of interview. Did you leave your passport with them after the interview? That's rare |
nightfox01:All medical-allied courses are NC, either national or local. It's not really a matter of class but actual GPA when converted using the Bavaria GPA calculation. As for schools, where you found the requirement also can have a list of schools. You have good chances but remember there is a (un)written rule, Germans > EU nationals > other Euro nations > friends of the EU> country/region needs assessment. Give it a try... |
princejck:Of course we all do ask questions and I do ask a lot too. That is the essence of this thread and Internet. Information you find by yourself are more dear to you, you could understand fundamentals better. In more complicated issues or for clarity case, others can help. I admonish people to seek for preliminary information independently, from there, they can be part of their own journey. Generally, if you wish to travel to any country on any visa, especially on study visa, please always visit the country's embassy website for clear info and other online sources. Then, you can ask specific questions. We have had people coming here and ask 'what is the best university for master degree in Germany?'. We can do better and let's up our games and show that we have genuine inquisitive spirits. For the question @Camelcase POF is real like Madrid. It can be only be demonstrated in 2 ways: 1. Blocked account in a bank account in Germany up to 11,500 (including the bank German bank charges). This locked money will be available to you at a rate of about 940 Eur per month for 1 year AFTER you ARRIVE Germany. 2. A Declaration of Commitment certificate (colloquially called Sponsorship Letter/SL) where a person living in Germany can apy to his/her local government/city that s/he knows you and is capable and willing to fund your cost of sustenance in Germany for at least 1 year. This person is usually a relative or close person, not receiving any social benefits from the German government, have enough money (about 950 Eur per month) to spare after all his/her expenses are paid. When this person applies for this certificate in Germany, there will be verifications of this person's capabilities, if positive, s/he will receive a certificate declaring that s/he will be supporting your stay during your stay in Germany for at least 1 year. That is the letter s/he will mail to you in Nigeria or wherever to submit along side other documents at the interview stage. |
CamelCase:Did you type this question on Google or ChatGPT before even coming here? I see no curiosity in the minds of some members here and it is sad, especially for persons who wants to study abroad. Then we thing of negative profile when being queried by Consular authorities. Threads like this are sometimes policed by Consular officers. I understand the challenges, but as young persons and students/graduates, we should be markers of curiosity and self fact finders. |
princejck:So there is a general rule for lowered performance of students/graduates pre and post COVID-19? People should be encouraged to learn how to answer personal questions. There's no a single rule for all. |
Imustreturn:If you could use a Google search, that would render this info. Public universities are tuition-free but you pay semester contribution fee between 150-500 Eur per semester. Play around with Google, daad.de/en and uni-assist.de. |
Beress:Really didn't know. From the south and lived up north. |
Beress:Abuja could be great. A friend did his at Abuja. |
Beress:Two types... Shared apartment, WG where you may share a kitchen and bathroom with 1-4 persons. There are also self con, good place. Insurance is about 220 |
Beress:Bielefeld is a small city, you should get a self con for less, but apply to Studentenwohnheim (dorm) already to save immediate housing stress. 1. You may no longer be able to have traditional 3 times a day. It can get less or more after you spend a few months not knowing what you are doing in some cases (it's normal BTW). 2. You can have the cheap private health insurance like Mawista but if you know you have preexisting health challenges or your working hours exceed 120 h per month, take public. Better you start with simple Mawista though. |
tym92:Are you Cat A? If yes, go ahead with the final preparations towards your interview. If CAT B, take a deep breathe and chill for the next 1.4 years. Certifications are done by MOFA and Embassy and you may need an appointment for it in Nigeria. Alternatively, attested documents from the court works great too. Less stressful. |
Beress:This is conveniently about 2500-2700 Eur per month. Rent: 350-450 Insurance: 40-220 (Depending on your age and current health condition) Feeding: 100-150 (Depending on WHAT and how much you eat of course) Transportation (local): possibly covered in your semester contribution fee Semester fee: 150-500 (Depending on your school) Winter clothing: depending on your taste and time of purchase (now, winter clothes are pretty cheap). Bicycle: later on... 😂 You'll be alright depending on your alrightness level wherever you are now. |
Beress:I do not know the salary grade you talked about but for a PhD position, you can survive. Although you will not be able to solve your village people problems. |
Blestos:Maybe you consider sports management (e.g. German Sport University Köln), say you are looking for physical education, it might be a lot. Alternatively, look at other areas of specialisation in P.E e.g Kinesiology |
sammirano:Usually this wasn't common but with global slow and low visa approval rates, I think Universities are doing this to make arrangements for who will be available in persons and possibly plans for hybrid classes. I can imagine the organisational stress because if a course is NC restricted, a candidate that will be able to join when the semester begins is preferred. My class has 24 students, 3-4 Europeans and most others are from countries with visa problems. It is important for such department to know who and who will be available to start at the beginning of the semester. If this is your case that no visa yet, they will advise you and maybe offer a waiting list for you. |
Blestos:Not necessarily the class but the point in German scale. Most MSc courses are set at 2.5 German equivalent GPA minimum points though there could be boosts from work experience, professional certifications. Try some private universities or NC Frei courses |
brown1234:As family reunion perhaps. On the day of the mother's interview, both applications will be submitted for appropriate consideration. But the mother will need a very convincing motivation letter and CV. |
