hillshark:At how much per Eur do you want to buy? |
Mimiomotoyosi:Either... But the best is to go for a private health insurance if you are over 30 years old e.g. Mawista or Educare. If less than 30, a public health insurance will work e.g TK, AOK, DAK, BARMER |
Mimiomotoyosi:Similar to letter of motivation for your course BUT in this case, why do you want to study ABC in XYZ University IN DEUTSCHLAND (Germany)? Why not Finland, Turkey, Nigeria? Focus your theme on: Expected quality of education (examples of previous students if applicable) Quality of the particular course in Germany based on the country's reputation in that field (Engineering, Medicine, Architecture, Social works etc) Free tuition fees of course should be mentioned (against the backdrop of expensive tuition in comparable countries) Programme and study structure (if internship is included, mention) International environment and culture (language). Feel free to mention foods, musics, festivals in your university city) Finally, prospects upon graduating in ABC in Germany, employability in and outside Germany with focus on outside Germany and potential opportunities in the fastest growing African economy |
deuoessch:True. Usually conditional admission implies that you will be fully admitted IF AND ONLY IF you have fulfilled the condition. For say, the condition is C1 German, and you're B1, the condition is not yet met but at the interview stage, you have completed B1 and enrolled or eligible for C1, it won't be a problem if your study is to resume in say 3 months time sufficient for the C1 completion under normal circumstances. |
deuanon:When is your study beginning and your progress with the deutsch Kurs? If you're making steady progress, then it's fine. |
The embassy of Germany in different countries has made the clear that you should not send any enquiry to them asking about the status of your application after interview UNTIL it exceeds a specified window which they usually tell you after interview depending on your type of visa. The so called tracking is fostered by official agents like VFS in certain countries excluding Nigeria and this is because they are approved agents but still cannot provide any status. What is visa status after interview? Possibly: 1. Pending 2. Incomplete documents (which an applicant usually know on day of interview or couple of days after the interview by email) 3. Decision (which you usually receive as email about 5 weeks after interview depending on number of applicants, could be shorter or longer). This is also erroneously known as approval email, denied visa applicants also receive this same email. 4. Approved/denied (usually when you are asked for health insurance and possible travel dates). I still argue that it is debatable and unlikely that there is an official way to track your status, everything is a function of time. The response is always, your application is receiving the necessary attention and you will be informed of decision by email and what follows next. Who has successfully tracked his appointment date here? Who has successfully tracked his application status after interview here? Except for general response of "wait, be patient, we are working on it, refrain from enquiry on the status of your application... "? |
Ignore |
SOLARPOWER1:I really don't care about your personality. Yes, you could be helping, which is very encouraging to read but if whatever you want to share is not shareable in the forum publicly and this 'tracking' is not official, then, I feel I have a responsibility to advise persons here to be cautious. |
Oremeter:Upload the 2 LOM to uniassist, they will sort it. Rename the 2 LOM with uni and course name. E.g 1. MscEnv_Unikoln 2. MscEng_UniFri. |
ozonaija:A class mate from Nepal waited for 16 months. It's not just Nigeria |
sparrowg:Go to at least 3 banks and enquire how long it might take them. Sterling usually is fast. Or leave the current process to tarry. But if it becomes urgent say in late January, you can post here and one can recommend. Otherwise, calm down and hope NGN improves against EUR |
sparrowg:That's the best rate I know for now. Do you have an appointment yet? When did you apply for appointment? These influence whether you should be in a hurry or not. you can as well enquire at the bank or change the bank! |
sparrowg:Up to 770 per Eur. You may just have to wait for the bank. |
nightfox01:True, each school's requirement only slightly differs. It's better for you to understand the basic requirements on your own so it can be easier. Grade requirements (you're qualified) Language requirements And the school specific requirements (if any) Method of application (uniassist or school website) Otherwise |
nightfox01:Have you visited the website of at least 5 Universities offering Medicine and Surgery to see the course organisation and admission requirements? |
sparrowg:Black market |
Richie31:What WhatsApp group? If all had put these information on a WhatsApp group, how would you have managed to get here? Open source information is what is thriving here. |
Gerrard59:In my opinion, it would be: 1. Preference for the EU and other European citizens 2. Tuition free-this affects the student:faculty ratio and funding cost where foreigners will be responsible for increased funding. My class has 23 students, only 1 German! 3. Systematic control of immigration and emigration-Germany has an economic model ensuring very few people are poor and few rich people. The accommodation of Ukrainians and people who fled Ukraine has impact as well. 4. Rejection rate is low if you meet requirements. 5. Low timely graduation rates amongst developing countries' citizens. Some us spend 4-6 years in a 2 year course. 6. Na their country, they don't owe us even explanation. |
Divwake:What was or were your question(s) that never got (an) answer(s) aside interview dates which people either do not have the answer or personal to them? You can ask again, I read questions and answers here all the time. |
ozonaija:The situation is bad as you could read from people but what is worse is your calling people out over your own assumptions whereas just above your comment was a comment by these same people. The embassy in Nigeria clearly stated it could take up to 1 year for Cat B appointments and it is evident here that people who applied for interviews Sept-Nov 2021 are gradually getting dates and a few are awaiting decision on their application. |
oxford110:Okay select research if its also explained there. You might get a short course visa which shouldn't allow you work and max of 90 days. I'll advise you leave it open and EXPLAIN simply. |
oxford110:Then, it's for work. It's best to choose appropriate category. Will you be paid? If yes, then its work category, Employment |
oxford110:You can select 'Other' then explain what you want to do and they will assign you a proper category. They may put you in a short course or visiting visa category. But if you read the contract agreements well, it might be there, another way could be asking your host. |
profdam:If you will be needing a residence permit CARD, opening a bank account, you will need to have an accommodation in YOUR NAME. Begin application for an apartment from the Studentewerk of your school (https://studentenwerk.sh/de/wohnheime-kiel) and contact whoever you will be working with for suggestion. 6 months is a very long time. |
John854:That will be a good 4:19 Read the Embassy's interview appointment requirements. |
Amista:How old are you? How often do you need to see a doctor? (Not due to malaria, typhoid or other environmental diseases/infections) Any underlying ailment? If you are less than 30 years, by law, you MUST have a COMPULSORY/STATUTORY Public Health insurance (e.g. TK, DAK, AOK) BUT if over 30 years as at the time of arrival to Germany and you don't have known conditions that require you to frequent the hospital, you can use a Private Health insurance (e.g. Mawista) |
sparrowg:Has the Form A account been debited? You can only begin counting days after the initiating NGN account has been debited. After debiting, 3-5 working days for it to be credited to Fintiba and another 3-5 working days for Fintiba to send you a confirmation. It could be shorter anyway. |
oxford110:Only health insurance is compulsory. |
missidy:1. Most schools do not insist on IELTS from graduates taught in English. If proof is required in some cases, maybe a Language of Instruction letter may suffice, however, some still require English Tests, because, unfortunately, many graduates struggle with spoken English. 2. There are opportunities in International Relations just as in many Liberal and Art courses. |
sparrowg:Sender's name doesn't matter but in case of query on the transfer, the person should be able to submit Statement or proof of funds or relationship, this is very rare. However beneficiary which is the recipient should match the account opening information. E.g Blocked account name: Mr AAA Beneficiary: (has to be) Mr. AAA Sender1: BB C Amount: 5,000 Eur Beneficiary: (has to be) Mr. AAA Sender2: DD B Amount: 6,300 Eur |
justt:You should only worry about yours for now, you can add your family when they arrive Germany. You have an option of public/statutory health insurance as a VOLUNTARILY INSURED person but pays up to 200 EUR (TK, AOK, DAK, BARMER). If you have a fairly good health condition without any preexisting or risk ailment that you may require regular health care, a Private health insurance will be sufficient for a start. Mawista is the most popular among STUDENTS over 30 years. There are different coverage levels, however, as in every Private health insurance policy, when you visit the doctor, you will need to pay with your money, then you send the bill/invoice to your health insurance company for reimbursement. But they will not pay back the full amount; maybe 70-80 percent. The monthly cost for Mawista and offers are on their website. When your wife arrives or you begin a full-time or hazardous job, your kind of insurance may change. |
