CareerRe: Are Indian Bosses In Nigeria That Bad??? by MrAboki: 8:41am On Nov 07, 2013
Indians and Chinese people all think and believe that they are superior to Africans, in the same way the WHite supremacists see africans as Niggas.\

However, my first job as a graduate in Canada was given to me by an Indian man. He even paid me the standard wage (20 dollars an hour) and said he will pay me cash so that I dont have to pay any government taxes on the money as he knows that I really needed it to settle.

He was indeed a great boss. Made me supervisor over even Indians (prolly cos he saw that I had a degree). At some point, I was like his second in command. However, those other indians that worked for the company and the indians that were our clients were retards.

The last day I worked for him was because of how an Indian client was very condecending to me. My boss saw it and immediately intervened as he saw that I was about to lose it.

But here in Africa, the matter is different. Go to all the businesses owned by;

Indians
Chinese &
Lebanese

and see how they treat and talk to their staff for minimum wage with no benefits..

I Noticed that all the Anambra-State Gubernitorial Candidates in November16 Election are in agreement That Anambra-State Needs An Airport! I Don't Know why people can't see the Wisdom in all This! A Great State like Anambra with Some many Great People, To some people should not dream or even own An Airport, but will continue to Flood Lagos,Abuja & Other States just To Travel out! Mbanu! Chukwu Aju!
Lol!

All of a sudden, we rely on the Politicians to make the best decisions for us?!

They will say anything that they know that you want to hear.

But I'll advice you to keep your topic discussions related to football where you'll be more comfortable and stay off of complex topics like medicine. The compositions of Cannabinoids can make your type go crazy already. My 2 cents
Hahahaa

So you are the worlds foremost researcher and leading authority in matters relating to cannabis so what you say should be taken as law abi?! Lol..
All I asked you to do is the same thing any sane person would ask you to do;

1. Provide us the details of your research.
2. Show us your case studies
3. Show us your findings
4. Since you said you have researched and published your findings, provide us the journal or magazine that published your findings (with your name on it)

How hard can this be?! If you are so proud and confident in your research, you shouldnt be afraid to show it here.

Abi did you think that this was your local beer palour where you can just come and say anything you like and people will swallow it hook|line|& sinker.. huh

Lol @ your football comment.. Nice deflection.. But we are all waiting for this your ground breaking research on Cannabis.

one.east3:
Owerri airport is not an international cargo airport. Forget the about nomenclature, at best it is domestic airport.

For Goodness sake, roads in Anambra are being fixed. Onitsha-Awka-Enugu federal highway like as i said earlier is being reconstructed starting with headbridge. If you have known what Headbridge and Upper Iweka used to look like before and what it looks like now then you will know that transformation is sweeping through the state. I welcome you to revisit Headbridge and Upper Iweka and Nkpor, it will change your whole thinking.

Obi from inception has never focused development in the urban sectors only, he had made sure that all sectors even the rural areas are taken care of. Even those states you mentioned can come any near in terms of overall development when you compared to Anambra. You talked of PH; lemme tell you i visit PH twice every month due to the business expansion we did there. PH is not any fantastic compare to the huge allocation, most part of the city is still quite rural and crappy due to rural settlement that still exist in the heart of the city. I saw bad road littered in all parts of the new GRA.

Trans-amadi road from Garrison is in total in shamble, disrepair and unpassable. Woji is a no go areas. Insecurity is equally high in the city. Whenever it rains Market junction is a no go areas high flood tide that could swallow your car. Obigbo is entirely cut off riddled with worst roads I have seen anywhere in the recent time. There is virtually no single road in Obigbo. Iwofe road almost broke my linkage last month. The only good road quality road I saw in PH is just Aba road and last I checked, it is a federal highway. You dare not cross Mile 1 once it is 6.30pm or else they will cut your hand and take your handbag.

I hate it when some people come here to spew nonsense. Edo state is not any better, apart from the round-about in Benin, the city still looks like shanty laid-back. Edo state is still wallowing in underdevelopment and kidnappers den. Benin to the best of my knowledge is largely rural. The worst kidnapping incidences has been happening that state causing great insecurity. Lemme not talk about Imo state because that one is a non issue and does not worth discussing.

All the states you mentioned are thrice the age of Anambra but still Anambra is stlll trouncing them even as a young state.
We have to start appreciating what we have. Onitsha recently is witnessing urban upgrade and massive clean-up. Awka is not left out as some road expansion has started with demolition at Amawbia bye-pass. Government is a continuum, Obi has done well, the next governor will continue from where he started. Yes, I agree with on some points you have made, Anambra can only get better because the roads are being fixed not only in the urban centers but also rural areas.

Anambra International Cargo/Passenger Airport is non negotiable. Anambra has the biggest human and material capital in the SE and beyond, and presently Oil/Gas economy is emerging, so there is every need for an airport to of an international standing. The joy of it all all is that there is already an FG approval for Anambra to begin work on the project, the site has equally been acquired.
I was going to correct some of the things you wrote here about Port-Harcourt, like the Trans-Amadi road for example which work has commenced on in earnest with a new bridge being built at Slaughter. Woji road had been marked for demolition for over 2 years but the politics of Port-Harcourt, no thanks to Chief Temple Ejekwu and the Rivers State opposition has hampered work on Woji Road. The only area I will concede has been neglected in Port-Harcourt is Obigbo, but like your last paragraph says, The airport project has been approved hence there is no point debating it.

I still strongly feel that it is a misplaced priority.

And this Obis so called rural development has not reached Agukwu Nri which is just 10 - 15 minutes away from Amawbia junction and the Government house. The LInk road sef that goes from Amawbia to Onitsha road was in such a state that I wondered if Obi never passed that road. There is this area that is on the opposite side of Aroma junction that has so many abandoned Government projects that I wondered what exactly Peter Obi had been doing for 8 years.

I will say lets agree to disagree.

Oganiru Anambra State.

Its funny how you guys throw up funny comparisons to drive home your point.

Weed is not poison.

What we are debating is how dangerous is it to you and your health.

The same cannabis has been said to have some health benefits such as suppressing cancer causing cells, reducing blood pressure, turrettes syndrome, e.t.c.

I don't even understand u on the part of the owerri airport; tell me how can international cargo land there when there is little or nothing happening in the area as in economic activites. Is owerri airport an international airport? NO. Does it have necessary international clearance and cargo facilities? NO.

I don't know what u are talking but what I know is that Anambra needs an international cargo airport of which licence has been granted by FG and the site acquired at Otuocha awaiting ground breaking.
Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri is an International Airport #FACT!

Owerri is located in a strategic location such that it is 1 hr away from Onitsha & Nnewi and less that 1 hour away from Ariaria (the two biggest commercial hubs in the East), thus making it very easy for the so-called Igbo Importers to fly their goods into Owerri and then transport it to location on rather good roads.

Anyways..

All I know is that an Airport will not change nothing in Anambra State.. All this clamouring for an airport is simply putting the cart before the horse.

Fix the gaddamn state first and all other things shall be added unto us.

How can a state with all the hyped big business men be looking worse than even Owerri (the Oringo city).. angry

Look, the biggest industry men in Anambra State don't fly in their goods. Chikason, Ogbuawa and co all need seaports, not airports. I may be wrong o!! but I just feel like all this focus on an airport is distracting us from our real situation.

Nna ife Anambra na ewe zi'm kita. We are busy looking at the sky when the ground is not leveled. If you have been to Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port-Harcourt, Benin city and other nice looking cities in Nigeria and cant see why Anambra State needs to be fixed up, then I guess we are seeing things differently.

Thank You for your observations & your constructive criticism. I still believe that an Airport in Onitsha Area of Anambra-State will be very viable & for overall Economic & Political interest of the State! This can be done with private Money in partnership with Anambra-State Govt & This will not stop any Govt in providing basic Amenities in Awka,Ekwulobia,Nnewi,Otu-ocha,Onitsha,Ihiala,Ogidi,Nkpor,Obosi,Ozubulu,Umunze,Agulu,Atani etc. This will not affect Enugu Airport because Onitsha Airport will be Mainly Cargo & Domestic Airport. It will help to draw The population back to Onitsha,Enugu,Asaba,Nnewi,Okigwe,Awka,Agbor,Abakaliki,Aba etc lost as a result of our Small Economy!
Nwanne

Owerri has an International Cargo airport. Infact, the road from Owerri to Onitsha is so good that I can beat my chest and say the number of potholes on that road is not up to 5 (if any). Go and ask the Owerri FAAN/NCAA/NAMA for their flight manifest to show how many international Cargo planes has landed in that airport since its creation.

I can understand the Domestic Airport part, but an International airport!!! I say not now. Again, I might be wrong.

But for any Governor to impress me, Anambra State as a whole needs a major facelift startinf with Onitsha, Nnewi, Amawbia, Obosi and Awka as the Pilot cities..

Just my opinion..

0monnakoda: The main problem I have is with this general Nigerian idea that he must drop something to "compensate" the finder. A reflection of distorted values."Thank you" should suffice. Must you keep the 20K. Let me tell you the truth ; that is the mindset and attitude of poverty and poor people.Unfortunately most Nigerians are poor and think like poor people. What would a rich mind do.? All people are thinking is out of 800 K he should drop like.........
Personally I would politely return the 20k. Why because I don't need it. Even if I was poor and jobless I would rather ask the person to help me get a job. If the person went out and bought a gift OK but cash No.Never!
Well Said..

Thats how I lost my wallet years back in Ghana with 700 U$D inside a taxi with my sim card inside the wallet.

In fairness to the taxi guy, he picked the wallet, saw the simcard inside and called a number on it. COincidentally, it was one of my friends and after much discussion, I finally went to retrieve my wallet.

The guy hands me my wallet with 500 dollars inside. I accept it, thank him and give him 50 U$D for his troubles. Thats how this guy flipped and started calling me names o! When a small crowd had gathered, I politely asked him about the other 200 U$D that was now missing, he said he didnt take it. HAAA!

Anyways, I adamnatly refused to give him any more money, thanked him again and left.

The Bank would also not be held liable except it was discovered that the error was made by a cashier or a system error, in which case the bank would pay the owner his money and either plead with the OP to return the money or just move on.

@ Mr Aboki. Why not Anambra-State share Govt House with Enugu, IMO,Abia, Delta,Kogi, Ebonyi & Rivers State because they are all very close to each other! A State like Anambra Known for their Local & International businessmen & Women with over 10,000 people making use of Airport services for their journey needs at least ONE AIRPORT! This is for it own economic self sufficient. This also can help to bring back some of the investment & Investors lost to other states like Lagos back to Anambra-State for it's ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENT! Please Think very deep about This!
I am thinking very deep.

There is absolutely no point flooding the whole of the East with international Airports. You all make it sound like International Airport will automatically mean more money for the state.

How about they focus on the Seaport first. A state like Anambra known for International Business men and women yet Awka and Onitsha looks like one big waste bin. There is no need for all this over hyping of Ndi Igbos. The biggest problem of Anambra State is not an Airport. Awka needs massive work, Onitshe needs proper urban town planning, Security in Anambra needs to be improved upon and those guns taken out of the Hands of Anambra State Vigilante, some form of decorum needs to return to Anambra State.

And before you jump down my throat, I am also an Anambra man so I know the state just as well as you do. Any Governor whose campaign promise includes building an Airport is a mediocre person that should be done away with. Let Enugu international Airport grow first. Let the government turn Awka into a proper State capital. Look at Amawbia - Aroma - Unizik - Udoka - everywhere else. Is that what a standard capital city should look like?! Let Anambra State government invest in Electricity like Rivers, Lagos, Akwa Ibom and other states are doing. If Onitsha has steady power supply, the cost of production for many industries would reduce by over 40%. Let the Government of Anambra clean up the f|ucking state for crying out loud. Abi shame no dey catch you when you pass that big dumpsite after Obosi and just at the entry to Onitsha? How about Upper Iweka?! Is that the best that it can be?

I repeat, Anambra State does not need an International Airport at this time, Our problems are still way way far from that.
