Politics › Kogi Senatorial Candidate Arrested For Attempted Scam On Abia State First Lady. by Mrchippychappy(op): 11:27am On Mar 06, 2013
A former Kogi Central Senatorial candidate, Alhaji Abdulazeez Bello will soon be arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on charges of impersonation and forgery. Bello , 49, was arrested recently by operatives of the State Security Services, SSS, at the Sheraton Hotels & Towers, Lagos , for impersonating the Director of Operations of the EFCC, Mr. Olaolu Adegbite.
Bello was at the hotel premises to further an advance fee fraud agenda targeted at Mrs Mercy Orji, wife of the Abia State governor, Mr. Theodore Orji. He reportedly posed as the EFCC’s Director of Operations with a fake identity card bearing the name of E. Adegbite .
Reports from the SSS indicated that Bello was arrested on January 27, 2013 while negotiating with some aides of his would-be victim. He was later handed over to the EFCC for prosecution.
At the EFCC’s office, the politician-turned conman said that he was working with certain Nelson Ndukwe and Chuks Offor, both aides of Mrs. Orji to perfect his nefarious agenda of swindling her.
He confessed that he impersonated the EFCC’s Director of Operations. “I’m sorry that I impersonated the Operations Director of the EFCC. I did it to be able to arrest Mrs. Orji’s assistants who are said to be working for her to launder money. It was my first time of doing this. EFCC should help me out of this”, he said.
Bello has made useful statements to the EFCC and will be charged to court soon.

In simple terms, who do i like more Ans - 2Face

But song internationally respected most. It is simply Oliver Twist

Don't twist the arguement. African queen makes more sense and it is more interesting but Oliver Twist has more International Recognition.

Crime › Nigerian Sentenced To 4 Years For Attacking 2 Women In London by Mrchippychappy(op): 10:49pm On Feb 25, 2013
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2284264/Michael-Ayoade-Thug-knocked-women-unconscious-punching-random-attacks-jailed.html

A man who sneaked up on two women and punched them unconscious in separate random attacks has been jailed for four years.
Michael Ayoade, 35, of Plaistow, east London, was caught on CCTV staging the motiveless assaults on a 16-year old girl last year and a 21-year-old student in 2011.
Passing sentence at Inner London Crown Court, Judge Roger Chapple said they were 'vicious, unprovoked attacks on young, lone females'.

He said that Ayoade posed a threat of causing serious harm to women.
Having viewed CCTV of both the attacks, the judge said: 'These images are indeed worth many thousands of words. The footage captures graphically the shocking violence of these attacks.
'In both cases there was but one blow. In the case of [the 16-year-old] it can plainly be seen from the CCTV footage that the force behind the blow was massive.
'The ferocity of the blow that you struck to her after running up behind her with full force was truly shocking.
'In both cases the force of the blow was such as to render the victims unconscious albeit mercifully not for long.'
The first attack was at Plaistow Tube station on November 20, 2011, when he hit student Daniella Montieth, who is only 5ft 4in, in the side of the head, leaving her sprawled unconscious in the ticket hall.
Ms Montieth, who was studying political science and international relations, was taken to hospital with a broken tooth.

Shocking CCTV footage of the second attack was released by police in November last year as they appealed for information.
The 16-year-old victim was walking near the Black Lion pub in High Street, Plaistow, at around 12.30pm on November 13 when Ayoade jogged up behind her and punched her in the head.
She immediately fell to the ground and was left lying unconscious on the pavement, suffering three broken teeth and a cut lip.
Ayoade, who is originally from Nigeria, had followed the teenager, who is 5ft 5in, for around 800 metres before he struck.
Prosecutor Joel Smith told the court Ayoade said she 'made (him) feel like a pauper with her facial gestures' and had 'looked at him in a rude way', and that he could not go through the rest of the day having taken 'an insult from a little person like that'.
Ayoade had previously admitted two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and one count of possession of cannabis after a bag of the drug was found at his home.
The scar-faced defendant appeared via video link at the hearing wearing a red sweater and red trousers.

Today he was sentenced to four years for the attack on the teenager, and 19 months for punching the student, to run concurrently.
There was no separate penalty for the cannabis charge.
Judge Chapple said he had given Ayoade the maximum possible term and was 'deeply troubled' by Ayoade’s lack of explanation for his actions.
Speaking outside court, Detective Chief Inspector Dave Rock said the victims could have been hurt much more seriously.
He said: 'I think like most people I was shocked, genuinely shocked, like any member of the public would be.
'I can only say that having seen that footage I’m really glad that by good fortune the two victims survived or came through their injuries relatively well.
'With the 16-year-old girl, having viewed that footage you could reasonably have thought that you were looking at very serious injuries.
'Quite clearly that behaviour without any motive pretty clearly shows that he is a danger to women on the streets and I think the judge’s sentence has reflected that.
'We’re very glad to have got this man off the street.'
Ayoade was caught after police released CCTV footage of the second attack and members of the public came forward with information.

nwabobo: Isn't it an irony that since this minister started this war against the Yorubas, the aviation sector has started performing......Now, do your maths.
My brother i thought i was the only one who noticed it , Back in the days when we had Aviation Ministers from the SW we had about 7 air disasters EVERY YEAR but since they hand the aviation ministry over to an intellectual (Mrs Stella) she has transformed the sector to become one of the best alongside the Telecoms sector (and we all know who transformed that sector as well , Mr Ndukwe) . Take a look at the rot in Nigeria's power sector as well as the Police , Now look back at the people that have been at the helms of power in those sectors you would find out that the SWners and Northerners destroyed those sectors beyond redemption even when Mr Nnaji was few steps away from doing the impossible (transforming the power sector) the gang of leeches plotted to humiliate him but he had the last laugh as he retired and walked away graciously with his head held high . The truth most be said. Bro Nwabobo i applaud you for your short yet insightful post

Why am i not surprised about this ? Its nothing new , its something that has been trending in that part of Nigeria for years now and the practice of Inc.est and pe.dophilia seems to be on the rise , Apparently there seems to be a huge disconnect in the moral and family values in that part of Nigeria . Take a look at this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1057232/case-study-p.aedophilia-incestuous-acts and you would know how serious the issue s3xual abuse is in the SW part of Nigeria

Recently crime sections of National Tabloids have been riddled with stories of molestation and paedophilia . Is this a clear indication of lack of moral values , family values or can this disgusting trend be traced to religious / tribal / cultural backgrounds of those involved in this heinous activity or has this been a hidden practice that is finally being exposed by our media houses and tabloids ? Below are certain instances of paedophilia and incestous stories gotten from stories published recently by Daily Tabloids .

A 54-year old generator repairer has been sent to jail for allegedly sleeping with his 16-year old daughter and impregnating her in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The man, Mr. Tajudeen Sanni, who hails from Oyo State was charged to the Family Court, Kakawa, Lagos, for impregnating his daughter and subsequently sent to Ikoyi Prison as he could not perfect his bail condition on time.
The 16-year old girl (name withheld) is now in custody of the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation for adequate care.

The victim had accused her father of sleeping with her several times, resulting in her being pregnant.

If Mr Tiamiyu Ibrahim, a 45-year-old mechanic, had been part of the Nigerian contigent to the just concluded London 2012 Olympics, he, probably, would have won a medal for Nigeria. The only snag is that his field of specialisation, 'bedminton' was not part of the sporting activities listed for the tournament. IDOWU ADELUSI, in this piece, reports the story of a man who put his mother-in-law in a family way.

MRS Aminat Ibrahim's story appears fictitious, but it is not. The claim of the 40-year-old trader that her husband is the father of a four-month-old baby girl born by her mother leaves one wondering whether Aminat knows the weight of her claim or not.

Mrs Ibrahim said she was ashamed and rattled by the development, adding that her unrepentant mother had threatened to curse her for exposing her misdeed.
Narrating how love affair developed between her mother and the husband, Mrs Ibrahim said her mother, who lived in a village at Apomu Area of Osun State, had been visiting them regularly at Oje Area of Ibadan where they (couple) lived.

Today, Anthony Adeyemi is a shadow of himself. He lives in depression and pain as a result of partial paralysis that he suffers. But as if that was not enough a burden for him, he has compounded his trouble by allegedly involving himself in immorality. Rather than living his life as a respectable father, he chose a path of dishonour by defiling his stepdaughter.

On Sunday, October 17, while Christian worshippers were on their way to church, Adeyemi was busy scheming for the forbidden fruit that landed him in police custody. The 55-year-old man was caught making love with an 11-year-old girl in his shop.

http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2013/02/21/police-arrest-border-robbers/

Two robbery suspects, Saheed Adekunle, 30, from Ibadan, Oyo state and Ogunmuyiwa Adeola, from Abeokuta, Ogun state southwest Nigeria, who allegedly snatched exotic vehicles in Lagos from their owners and ferry them to Cotonou, Republic of Benin, have been arrested.
They were nabbed by operatives at the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island, with four locally made pistols, at Ajilete area of Ogun State.
They allegedly concealed the guns inside a bag at the time they were arrested inside a chartered taxi by the operatives on a stop and search mission.
The suspects were on their way to Lagos State after they reportedly disposed off the vehicle they allegedly snatched at Ojuelegba area of Surulere, Lagos.
They have been arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, on a two-count charge of felony to wit, unlawful possession of firearms and robbery.

The suspected border robbers
During interrogation, they allegedly confessed that they usually snatched exotic cars for their boss, who they identified simply as Alhaji A.A., who sells them in Cotonou. They revealed that he resides at Ojuelegba.
In his alleged confessional statement to the police, Adekunle said: “Alhaji A.A. gave us the guns we use to rob and snatch vehicles in Lagos State and drive them to Idiroko border from where Alhaji A.A. would ferry them to Cotonou to sell.
“But our regret is that we have used all the money we realised from the business to sleep with prostitutes at the railway line, Mushin, and drink beer.
“We always sleep at an Indian hemp joint at Akala,Mushin to evade police arrest. We pray to God to forgive us our sins.”
The weapons recovered from the suspects include one double barrel, locally made pistol, one single barrel Ghana made pistol and 21 rounds of live cartridges.
After investigation by Inspector Oluwemimo Banjoko and his team, the suspects were charged to court.
The prosecutor, Supol C.N. Odii said, the offences are punishable under sections 6 (b) and 3 of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provision) Act R11, laws of the federation of Nigeria, 2004.
The plea of the accused was not taken because the court lacks jurisdiction to try the matter.
The presiding magistrate, Mrs. F.O. Botoku ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody pending the advice from the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP, on the matter.
She adjourned the matter till 20 March, 2013 for mention.
