Update From . COM Gunmen Reportedly Attacked some early morning passengers in Enugu State on Monday March 28. According to Nigerian Tribune, The Passengers may have been trying to beat the observance of the sit-at-home protest before they ran into the gunmen. It was gathered that the gunmen besieged the New Market area and opened fire on the passengers. An eyewitness told the publication that two people were killed while some have sustained injuries from bullet wounds. "The gunmen struck around Colliery Hospital, adjacent to Iva Valley Road, near Aria (New Market) Enugu, early this morning. and shot dead some passengers going out for morning business and wounded some," a witness claimed. "The police who had arrived after the incident conveyed some of victims with gunshot injuries, including one shot on the stomach with his intestines outside to ESUT Parklane hospital. One other woman has a bullet that pierced through leg.” However, spokesperson of the State Police Command, ASP Daniel Nduke, confirmed that two persons were injured in a shooting incident but there no death was recorded. "There was no such fatal attack. Rather, there was a shooting incident at Odegba, along Iva Valley Road, Enugu in the early hours of this morning, by yet-to-be identified armed men, which led to the injury of two persons," the PPRO stated. "However, the victims are responding to treatment at the hospital where they were promptly taken to by Police Operatives, who swiftly responded to a distress call on the incident. A Widow was pictured sleeping outside after she was allegedly thrown out of her home by her in-laws just one day after her husband's burial. From The Information Gathered By , The burial held on Friday, March 25, and the widow was allegedly thrown out on Saturday, March 26. In a Post shared online As Sighted By , The widow is seen sleeping on the floor, wearing just a wrapper and head warmer. Her slippers is seen beside her. On Facebook, call for justice for the widow who is from Nanka in Anambra state. According to her, the woman built the house with her money, yet that didn't stop her husband's family from allegedly throwing her out and locking the house to prevent her from gaining entrance. The said neice claimed the widow was thrown out without her belongings and she has nothing with her, not even the clothes she's meant to wear for her the burial service on Sunday, March 27.

Update From . COM The operatives of Anambra Police Command have arrested two men suspected to have defiled an 11-month-old baby and three other minors at Umudim Nnewi-North Local Government Area of the state. A press statement released by the police spokesman, DSP Ikenga Tochi on Monday March 21, confirmed the arrest. The statement reads ''The Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng today 21/3/2022 has admonished parents/guardians to be careful of who they leave the custody of their children/wards, following the outcome of the investigation of 4 children rescued by police operatives on a reported case of defilement in Umudimi, Nnewi. The Command Operatives swung into action and arrested the alleged two suspects namely: Peter Ezeala aged 61 from Mbano, Imo State and Mr Elochukwu Igwilo aged 27 from Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra State.'' Investigation reveals that the mother of the victims, a trader, had always left the children under the care of the suspects whenever she was away at work. Unfortunately, the suspects capitalized on this to take undue advantage of the children. Meanwhile, the suspects have been remanded in a Correctional Services Centre as the case was adjourned.
