Yorubas welcomed Igbos with an open hand and returned their abandoned properties after the war. Meanwhile, Igboid groups in present-day Rivers and Bayelsa states refused to return confiscated Igbo properties.

Nigerians from all ethnicities come to Lagos, live, trade, work, build and retire here. However, Igbos ignored the landowners and contributions of everyone and are selfishly but are foolishly claiming they developed Lagos.

The problem some Igbos have is that they have short memories. They've forgotten that as at when the Portuguese landed in Lagos, they had not yet finished trekking from Isreal or wherever they were downloaded from.

Yoruba are very welcoming and accommodating but won't tolerate nonsense. When these Igbos started this noise, we warned the liberal Yorubas but they said we were paranoid. Now, a lot of Yorubas are seeing the hate and bitterness that Igbos wish upon us and are now waking up.

During the last LG elections, all LG seats in Festac, Ojo Alaba, Amuwo and other areas with large Igbo population were collected and are firmly in the hand of Yorubas. In 2019, we're collecting our seats from those Igbos representatives and HOA members.

The environmental sanitation is presently political. When we're through with that, we move to other areas. By the time we ban gala and Fan yogo hawking in Lagos and the economy of a whole Igbo state crumbles cos of that, maybe you'll have sense.

Let Igbos keep calling Lagos No man's land, it serves to wake up the consciousness of liberal Yorubas. Mind you, the quiet Yoruba man is the most dangerous. The revolution would not be televised.

Retd Justice Sylvanus Adiewere Nsofor has resumed in Washington D.C as Nigeria's Ambassador to the United States. A formal reception in his honor was held at the Embassy on Monday with the wife of the vice president, Dolapo Osinbajo and other dignitaries in attendance.

The 83-year-old Nsofor was earlier rejected by the senate in March as a non-career ambassador for looking too fragile and not been able to answer the questions asked of him when he appeared before the senate committee on Foreign affairs.

Nsofor was later confirmed by the senate after he was re-nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Justice Sylvanus Adiewere Nsofor retired as a Justice of Court of Appeal in March 2005 after clocking the mandatory retirement age of 70.

A 28-year-old Egyptian newlywed woman, is seeking a divorce after only two weeks of marriage because her husband does all of the household chores, Egyptian news website Masrawy, reports.

Her husband, 31, also runs a successful clothing store, where he employs several staff members and is therefore able to spend most of his time at home. Samar claims that he spends all of that time cleaning and rearranging furniture and that she can no longer handle living with him.

The woman, known only as Samar M., claims that her husband, Mohammad S., is acting like a housewife, and she has grown bored of him. Not only does he do all of the chores, but he refuses to allow her to help at all. She eventually confronted her husband but said that he responded by saying that if she wanted to live in his house, she had to follow his rules.

“We’ve been married for just two weeks, I’ve known and loved him for over 2 years but I hate living with him and can no longer handle his actions,” Samar told Masrawy.

“My husband is a housewife. He doesn’t let me touch anything in our house and does all the cooking, cleaning and general household chores. He controls everything in our house, and I have no say in anything, not even where he puts the TV set. Even though he owns his own business, he hired people to manage it, in order for him to stay at home, while I sit and watch,” the woman explained her decision to get a divorce.

When Samar told her mother-in-law about her husband’s actions, the woman was surprised, saying that Mohammad had never done chores when he lived at home with his parents.

“He is the ‘woman of the house’ and I’m hating my life with him. We’ve been only married for two weeks, and he is either cooking or doing the laundry because he knows how to sort the washable clothes by color. He then irons the clothes, sweeps, and arranges the food in the fridge,” Samar complained. “I sit down watching him all day while he moves stuff around looking very happy.”

Samar has filed a complaint in Family Court in New Cairo, saying, “My husband did not give me the freedom to handle my home affairs, I feel like a guest in a hotel.” She is seeking ‘khula’, a procedure through which a Muslim woman can divorce her husband by returning the dower (mahr) that she received to marry him.

The case is pending before the court.

Cleaning gone wrong

The Nigeria Police Force has deployed 26,000, 15 gunboats and 303 patrol vehicles for the Anambra State gubernatorial election scheduled for 18 November. This was disclosed in a statement by Mr. Jimoh Moshood, Force Public Relations Officer.

According to the statement, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Department of Operations of the Force has been deployed to the state and will be assisted by an Assistant Inspector-General of Police and three Commissioners of Police to be in charge of each Senatorial District.



“In order to ensure adequate security and safety of lives and properties before, during and after the elections, the Inspector General of Police has graciously approved deployment of additional 26,000 Police personnel, comprising the Police Special Forces, Police Mobile Force, the Counter- Terrorism Unit (CTU), Special Protection Unit (SPU), the Anti Bomb Squad (EOD), the Force Marine Police, Conventional Policemen, the Force Armament Unit, personnel from Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (FCIID), Mounted Troops, the attack and Sniffer Dogs Section, Police Gun Boats, Police Helicopters and Armored Personnel Carriers (APC) to Anambra State and most of these personnel are already on the ground,” the statement said.

It added that the deployed equipment will be deployed to cover entire state, including riverine areas and difficult terrains. In addition, other security and safety agencies, which are members of Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) in the state are also deployed to complement the Police.

“Four policemen are deployed to each polling unit along with personnel of other security and safety agencies. No armed security personnel will be allowed within the polling units. Armed Police detachments on patrol vehicles are going to patrol the streets and other locations throughout the state to prevent crime and intervene to quell any violence that may occur during the election,” the statement further said.

To further ensure peaceful conduct of the election, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Ibrahim K. Idris, and Chairman, Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) will meet stakeholders and political parties, their flag bearers before the date of the election.

The statement warned that Police personnel deployed for the election must be polite and civil, but firm.

“They are to provide adequate security for the electorate, INEC officials, election materials, election observers and other individuals and bodies that have statutory roles in the conduct of the election, at the polling booths, collation centers, and INEC offices in Anambra State throughout the period of the election,” stated the Police.

The Police also announced that vehicular movement in the state between 12 midnight on 17 November till after the voting period on the day of the election. Government agencies and personnel on essential duties and services, however, will be allowed passage within the period.

“Security identification tag will be provided for all the security and safety agencies, INEC officials, election observers/monitors and others that have statutory duties to carry out in the election. The security personnel deployed will only operate within the area they are posted for the election,” the Police said.

The statement also declared that Commissioners of Police and personnel in the states contiguous to Anambra State have been put on red-alert not to allow an influx of miscreants and thugs into Anambra State. Also, a broad-spectrum security threats assessment is in progress.

“All the identified flashpoints, trouble spots and other perceived violence/vulnerable areas in the state have been profiled and appropriate pragmatic strategies and tactics have been implemented to checkmate and tackle them ahead of the election.Consequent on the renewed threat by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and other affiliate groups to disrupt the election, the Force has deployed Special Police Forces, Police Mobile Force, Specially Trained Counter-Terrorism Unit and other intelligence and tactical Squads to deal decisively with IPOB,” the statement added.



The Police assured voters of adequate security, warning IPOB to stay off polling units. The Force also warned political parties, traditional rulers, community leaders, parents and guardians to advise their followers and wards to be law-abiding or face the full weight of the law.

A 14-year-old Russian model has died after suffering from "utter exhaustion" during a three month modeling assignment in China. Vlada Dzyuba collapsed and slipped into a coma after a grueling 12-hour fashion show in Shanghai.

Sadly, she never regained consciousness and died two days later. She was found to be suffering from chronic meningitis.

The teen was allegedly on a "slave labor" contract and had been too afraid to seek medical treatment when she got too sick. Officially she was only allowed to work three hours a week.

The Siberian Times reports that the girl's temperature soared moments before she was set to go out on the catwalk for the fashion show.


Her devastated mother Oksana said:
"She was calling me, saying 'Mama, I am so tired. I so much want to sleep'. "It must have been the very beginning of the illness. And then her temperature shot up.
"I didn't sleep myself and was calling her constantly, begging her to go to hospital."
She had been trying to get a visa to fly out to be with her young daughter before she heard the news of death.

The head of the Perm modelling agency behind her trip, Elvira Zaitseva, said:
"No-one expected it to lead to such consequences. "We are now reaping what we have sown."
She admitted not checking Vlada's contract and if she had proper medical insurance.

A number of young Russian models are recruited to China, but Vlada's tragic case has raised concerns over working conditions for the models and how they can be exploited.

Moscow is set to demand an explanation over the conditions Vlada was living in during her time working in Asia.

Kremlin human rights ombudsman in Perm, Pavel Mikov, is personally investigating the girl's death.

When the street Orchins won election, APC, PMB, and Nigeria Muslims were busy gallivanting around the world, in UN general assembly meeting, calling supporting, promoting and funding the creation of free state of Palestinian, and western Sahara, without consulting anybody, Even Nigerian ASUU president DR Isa Fagae and others were busy organizing campaign for free western Sahara state, forgotten that they have the worst case in their back yard(Biafra state) ohhh! They thought that after promoting, campaigning and funding the independence Palestinian and Western Sahara, Israel and Morocco will clap for them and prepare indomie and egg for them.
They too are now funding, supporting, sponsoring, campaigning calling for self-determination of both Palestinian Western Sahara and Biafra, they said Biafra case too should be treated equal. The UN, AU, ECOWAS treaties that Nigeria is a signatory to allow self-determination through referendum. When ECOWAS court want to use that to rule in favour of Nnamdi Kalu, Nigeria threatened to evict and stop funding ECOWAS, Morocco decided to leave North America and apply for ECOWAS member so he can accommodate and fund ECOWAS with Israel if Nigeria government do otherwise.
ECOWAS cannot abandoned their treaties because of Nigeria, Nigeria accepted to release Nnamdi Kalu to avoid ECOWAS doing that by ruling in favour of Nnamdi Kalu and IPOB, but vow never to allow referendum. Why do you think Morocco's application to join ECOWAS was accepted by ECOWAS head of state last two week? Why do you think all ECOWAS countries are supporting Biafra except president Baro of the Gambia, why do you think Israeli prime minister visited ECOWAS head of state in their last meeting. Why do you thing Nigeria and the Gambia boycotted the meeting for the first time since the history of ECOWAS. OBJ went there on his own to beg.
Why do you thing OBJ advised fg to beg agitators at Yaradua center. Look ignorance of APC and PMB, their unpreparedness to power, and injustice in Nigeria is what is destroying Nigeria today not Nnamdi Kalu or IPOB. The UN general assembly meeting is on August, what do we expect? A declaration of self-determination and referendum for Palestinian, Western Sahara, Catalonia, and Biafra, or maintaining status quo till next 5 yrs? There is a pressure on Nigeria from Islamic world led by Saudi, Palestinian people, western Sahara people to let Biafra go so they too can have freedom. Even Turkish is mounting pressure.
So you can see there is little of what Nigeria government, police, army can do about this matter now, that why they can no longer keep Nnamdi Kalu on detention, he cannot be rearrested again, IPOB members can no longer be arrested, soldiers are no longer shooting. The only solution now is meeting, meeting,meeting,and meeting, consulting, consulting consulting, begging begging begging and begging, and that is what osinbanjo is doing, but I think he should listen to OBJ and call Nnamdi Kalu and beg him, talk to him.
