In my view,there is no difference between the old testament and the Koran,both endorse an eye for an eye,stoning for adultery,GENOCIDE,yes Drusilla genocide,these wickedly acts are all said to be encourage or directed by God/Jehovah/Allah himself.

In the bible, 1 Samuel,you get

Saul is rebuked by Samuel for "doing evil in the sight of the Lord" by failing to kill all of the Amalekites. 15:18-19

Because Saul didn't kill everyone as God commanded, God changes his mind about him being king. 15:23-26

This passages are often quoted by Nigerian Christians to enforced the importance of obeying the word of God aka word of Pastor without question.

Thanks for your comment,the original poster of this thread betrayed her boyfriend first by discussing their affair with a stranger and she complains when this "friend" repeats what she has told him,she goes bonkers.If anyone on this forum has ever discussed what has happened in their family without the consent of those involved,then that person is guilty of betrayal of trust.
I personally think that she is afraid her "lover" would see what her nairaland friend has written and break up the affair,she probably told lies about her boyfriend in the first place

Arabic language being related to Aramaic had a name for Jesus (Issa or Isa).

As much as I don't like saying am your most critical fan,I must say you hit the nail on the head with your reply,I still remember the conversation between the missionary and an elder in Achebe's Things Fall Apart.When this white man tried to convert this African elder by telling about a God that created everything in the world,the elder replied that they know him and his name is called Chukwu.They both agreed that there was a Supreme God their difference being their intermediary,the African believed you can approach God by going through the smaller gods and spirits of land while the white man believed the Jesus way.

Your story is an endorsement of Child rape in the name of love!Your story is about a man who took an advantage of a minor,15 year old girl to bed,got her pregnant and married her years later.In Europe and America its called STATUTORY RAPE.You basically confirmed the sterotype about under age sex in third world countries like Nigeria.

Your story if published in the UK would attract immediate condemnation by women groups,the police and child protection agencies.I doubt any bookstore that would display your story.You glamorized Sex with Children in the name of LOVE.

A few years back a woman who had sex with a 14 year old boy in the USA, was sent to prison for Statutory Rape,because even when the boy in question said it was consensual,she was still sent to prison because he was under aged.There is a Nigerian serving an 8 year sentence for sleeping with a 15 year old in Ireland.

Whats in a Name?Is Jehovah,Yahweh the same as Allah who knows,but the real question is what about the myriad of names given to the Christian God in Africa?

Is Chukwu,Chineke,Obasi,Oluwa etc used by Africans are these names the same as Jehovah or Yahweh?If it is,I need some proofs.

Destiny basically absolves any individual of responsibilities of their actions,I recently had a similar discussion with some Christians and a Muslim friend.
They all asserted that the outcome of their lives,pain and joys have being ordained by God.When questioned further about this contradiction notion with question of free will and sin,I got no real answer.

Logic is this.

1.If those who died in 9/11 attacks where distined to die that way,it means that those who carried out the attacks are not responsible for their action.
2.There is no need for laws, a justice system or nobody is quilty of sin and there is no need for messiah.because a thief,killer,rapist,teachers,doctors are all programmed or distined to be that.

Distiny and Freewill can not exist in the same space as they contradict each other,a PARADOX

The whole point of on-line discussions is where everyone is allowed to say what the want,regardless of how irrelevant it is.Recently in Ireland there is a new TV show called Extreme Views,where everyone from the IRA,Islamic Fundamentalist,White Power and Aryan Nation have being given the opportunity to speak.You may find their opinions disgusting but you can't deny them or arrest them because a man says he supports the 9/11 attacks.
