Religion / Re: Where Do Aborted Babies Go To? by mrmayor(m): 7:31pm On May 05, 2012
musKeeto: And so the wait for reasonable answers begins..

Catch 22.

1.Yes they go to heaven: There is no Original Sin, You don't need to accept Jesus as lord and saviour, Heaven rejoices whenever there is an abortion because a Soul is on its way home.

2.No they don't go to heaven: What a merciful God,• All have Sinned because of a Perfect Man Adam, Eve and a Talking serpent,Jeremiah
Psalm 51:5 - "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.". Will suffer in hell for no cause of their own, never heard the word either Oyaks or Daddy GO, never paid tithes and of course God knows all this in advance 1:5 (from conception)Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you;

Where is Frosbel, Davidlan, Joabgaje etc I need answers.

musKeeto:

Where do Aborted babies go?

Big question.. but 'go' and 'aborted' stand out..

Abort is to end... go is to move on...
If a baby is aborted(life cut prematurely), why then would you ask 'go'? This is where the 'religious' aspect comes in....

1st question would be do 'babies' have souls....

At what point do souls, if they exist, inhabit the human body?
Of course, the religion section being what it is(a place of confused confusion), we're likely to ask where do souls come from? If they inhabit a body and that body doesn't make it out alive, do they simply move on to another body, or go back to 'nothingness'...?

I HOPE I'VE BEEN ABLE TO PLAY MY OWN PART IN THIS CONFUSING THREAD..

I think the bolded is the real question.

1. Do babies/foetus have souls?

2. If they do; at what point does the soul enter the body?

3. Are babies/foetus going to hell or heaven since they were conceived in SIN and also inherited Original Sin from Adam, Eve and Serpent/Satan?

There is nothing really confusing if the Believers would clear the issue.
Religion / Re: Where Do Aborted Babies Go To? by mrmayor(m): 10:18am On May 05, 2012
This thread is not about the Religious Morality or Legality of Abortion. The question still remains where do Aborted Foetus (Child) go to, Heaven or Hell?

Throwing statistics about the number of abortions a year in America is not answering the Question! If I may add the world would have been a much better place if God given Babies with God Given Purpose like Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, Abacha, Bin Laden and many other madmen were all ABORTED.

WHERE ARE THE FOETUS (BABIES), HEAVEN OR HELL?

2good:

The point you quoted above is so true and the reason Nigeria and many African countries are so backward and among the poorest countries in the world with poverty increasing at an exponential rate with rising population and crippling economy.
Have you notice that buildings that once stood as factories have now been converted to mega churches, where people go to pray for financial breakthrough while the factories that are suppose to provide these finances they sort after are folding up. The funnies thing is that never in school were we thought that the solution to success is prayer but instead we were taught the basics of economics and the principles required to create wealth and sustain an economy. Somewhere along the line, all these teachings are replaced by religious deceit from people with no single experience of creating wealth other than using people's religious gullibility to milk them dry of their finances and the whole population of a country disregard well tested economic policies in favour of the quick rich teachings of religion which is the reason Nigeria is in its current state.

@davidlan, You maybe right by calling atheist cowards in real life but same can be said of believers who are turning away from the faith of the families they are born into.Back in the day when the 700 Club use to be a staple in my house, I watch many stories of Muslims who committed Apostasy, turning away from the Islamic faith practised by the family they were born into and converting to Christianity but could not express their new faith till in most cases they left the Islamic communities they lived to the Western world where there is Freedom of Religion.

I have a few questions for you,

1. Assuming that you would only marry someone of the same faith & doctrine with you, what you do if during the course of the marriage your wife departs from the faith to lets say Buddhism,Atheism or worst still become a member of Christ Embassy; would you still remain in that marriage?

2. How would you react or treat a family member, you son or daughter who suddenly disowns your Christian faith for Atheism?

3. Are you sure you would be so bold to die for your faith by preaching Jesus in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or Maiduguri?

I asked these questions not to score points but to show that many families have been turned upside down just because one member usually a child decides to change Doctrine and Church.

Seun, where is the bloody preview button?

davidlan, kindly answer questions in bold, was asked on page 2. Thanks

procedure: Atheist atheist yet u prayed in a church. Most definitely u are not convince their is no god. That is why u prayed. Conviction is dedication and dedication is absolute not qualified.
For real their is god and jesus is the only way to him stop kicking against the prick u cant change truth but u can change ur belief.
I am not trying to preach but to tell u that their is a one true god who created u.
Find him by prayer.

Not sure what your point is, but I would have caused a big uproar if I refused to pray at my sister's son's wedding, my sister would think I have something against her son, this was a family function where I was acting as the young man's father. What do you suggest I do;that I refuse to attend the wedding because I may be asked do what I have no faith or believe in? Many Atheist,Agnostics, Sceptics and non religious are still in the closet because they are afraid to come out as this would definitely cause problems in very religious families especially those living in Nigeria.

If Ex-Christians find it so difficult to express to their families about their lack of believe, just imagine what Muslims are passing through where the slightest questioning of Quran or his prophet would lead to death.

At the bolded, how would you know?

The wedding incident was something new to me, never being asked to pray in church even when I was a believer, however I can't seem to get away from the prayer and bible reading stuff especially during monthly family meetings. I have to lead the prayers because of my position in the family, I really feel like a hypocrite praying to a Being I don't know.

In 2008 I lost the woman I loved most in my life and I know she loved me even more but she couldn't come to terms with her future husband "Mrmayor" being an unbeliever, she believes her husband must be a prayer warrior and spiritual head of the family, I tried pretending by attending church, night vigils but her brand of Christianity RCCG , with all the seed sowing, tithing and the cult adoration of Daddy GO and local pastors was too much to bear.
Religion / Atheist @ A Church Wedding! by mrmayor(m): 4:19pm On Apr 29, 2012
I was @ my nephew's Church ( White)Wedding last weekend at Umuahia, I was playing my role as the father's representative and head of the family, during the course of the service, parents and both bride and groom were called up to alter for the exchange of vows. I was shocked when I was asked to pray for the couple, though I'm no believer a( Sceptic), "I not fit Fall My Hand In Far Away Umuahia" I had to pray my best "Kabashing" prayer I could come up with. wink

My prayer was better than you could see in churches,it was mixed with curses for all who wishes the couple any evil and the Congregation were echoing with very loud Amen and Amen, Nollywood would be proud, now where is my AMAA award grin

My question to all Atheist, Agnostics, (Sceptics = mrmayor) how do you handle these family situations where prayers are offered and how do you handle when you are called up to Pray, Sing etc, I assuming most Non-Believers in Nigeria are still in the CLOSET when it comes to Religion, my family see me as I'm Anti Church and nothing else.

I await your answers, no Insults.

Endometriosis in the Lungs?

09/30/2003

Question:

I was diagnosed with endometriosis 6 years ago and had my right ovary and tube removed. Now this summer I have had severe pain on my left side which the doctors send me for a chest xray and discover pneumonia. My question is can endometriosis spread to the lungs and would it look like "fluid in the lungs" on xrays and CT scans?
Answer:

Endometriosis of the lungs is very rare, but has been known to occur. The most common finding has been coughing up blood prior to or near menses. The chest x-ray findings are variable, but can be normal. It is usually suspected based on symptoms rather than x-ray findings. If you have symptoms consistent with pneumonia and have x-ray findings consistent with this, then pulmonary endometriosis is very unlikely. One of the unique characteristics is that the x-ray findings will change during the cycle as the endometriosis responds to the changing hormones.

Thanks again Lastpage, first thing I did when reading the other side of the story by Barr Mrs Okafor was to Google Endometriosis even before I finished reading the Rejoinder. Endometriosis does indeed causes Water Retention in the Lungs.

@ ronkebp, when in doubt Google is your Friend wink btw, I'm not holding brief for Mr Husband Kevin, his Lawyer and Family Friend Barr Mrs Nnenna Okafor (Phd) is doing a very good job.

Wow, what a sad story! I thought at first this was one of the numerous fictional " It Happened To Me & What Would You Do" stories on NL till I saw the Facebook page. I, like most readers bought the whole story before we heard the other side. I can only say Rest In Peace to Ogo. Really trying time for her Children, who btw are Innocent Victims in this saga.

Diluminati is not an atheist, the fact that she believes in mysticism alone shows she's no atheist. I think she only decided to sit on the fence as far as religion/spirituality is concerned due to certain circumstances she had to go thru in life. If u ask me I'd say she only needs to be loved, taught and guided back to Christ.
I'm very willing to do the loving cos I'm an excellent lover and I think goshen360 shld do the teaching and guiding cos he's an excellent teacher.

You are really a comedian. So you think Christians count the age of the earth based on Adam?Did God create Adam and the world the same time? The book of Genesis talks about how God created the world and man day after day, but I hope u dont take the day stated in Genesis as a 24hr period. Well, unfortunately, I think you do.
A thousand years is like one day to God according to the Bible, so pls jettison the idea that the day in Genesis was talking about a 24hr period.
How do u expect me to know the age of the earth? Was I here when God created it?

I didn't write that, Christians  more knowledgeable than you did. I think you should read your bible more.

@ high light in green

If you were not there, how do you know that Adam and Eve rebelled against God? Original Sin?

I much prefer the White Garment-Aladura-Cherubim & Seraphim-Celestial Church type of Holy Ghost/Spirit  Anointing, they would dance around on one leg while shouting Holy Gabriel, Jah, Rastafaria etc. You usually get a prophesy during their type of Holy spirit manifestation.

Even Gabriel Deya remember him, he's the Kenyan Pastor caught for Child Trafficking in the UK a few years ago, was so filled with the spirit that he didn't need to touch you, all he does is to wave his hand and the whole congregation falls, while those who are barren get a brand new baby all the way from Kenya via British Airways

Joagbaje:

I agree with you .its not right. You don't embarrass people . You simply Teach the bible,Inspire and encourage people if theres a project for the church to do. It's left between them and God. It's God that can make people give,if God has not stirred a man to give, no body should.

wow at bolded, there is hope for me after all. wink

DeepSight, sometimes you amaze me. I'd like to know how much you know about the Benin moat. That in itself is a staggering achievement for a civilization without modern tools, yet I've never heard allusions to "aliens".
Many of your posts reek arrogance and I'm not trying to be mean.
I think you need to learn some humility.
Take my post in good faith, I dont mean any offence.
@Jayriginal,

Sir, you're post is offensive being unfair, Deepsight is a decent guy, you can hardly accuse him of arrogance maybe using too many lawyer terms like "Aforementioned" and stuff like that,he holds his own, willing to listen and accept another's opinion and he is hardly rude.

There's no historical conflict. For example . Mattew and Luke gave the different lineage . Luke gave the blood line through mary Mattew gave through Joseph

@Joabgaje,

I'm not derailing this thread but Jesus is not the Son of Joseph, can't be from Joseph bloodline.
Properties / Re: Nice Duplex In Games Village Abuja  for 70m by mrmayor(m): 11:54am On Feb 25, 2012
Na wa o, persin advertise house albeit wrong section and there an argument about Texas, California, Mosquito nets and beautiful prison. The fact remains the value of Real Estate is determined by DEMAND, if there are people willing to pay £100m for Bedsit then that is the value of that property shekina. I think the UK has the " Stupidest" house prices, before the so called Economic Crisis $435k=£273k will get you 2 Bed Ex-Council flat above a Fish & Chips shop in Harlesden,London.

House prices in Nigeria, especially Abuja,Lagos maybe Port Harcourt has been inflated by Politicians, Oil Marketers and a lot of Nouveau Riche in between.

Born again Christians !!!

The Born Again Christians don't have the balls to do it Physically, they do it in prayers Kasbashing everyday, asking God to Kill all their Enemies  in the Village, Boko Haram, Muslims, Atheist, Fornicators, and their favourite enemy Homosexuals and Witches. My cousin just finished Kabashing, telling me that I should watch and see that God is about to destroy those States in America that allow Gay Marriage but he's the biggest coward in the world, him dey even Fear Boys Bridgade grin

Oyedepo Cursed Boko Haram, that Fire should come from Heaven to burn them all, talk about Brotherly Love.

So while they are not bold enough to start rampaging if the Bible is burnt by Muslim, you got to see them in action when they want to burn a Village Shrine.
