I've said before that my defence is not for CEC . I speak truth in any applicanle situation

Pastor Joagbaje, I bet Boko Haram must be doing a lot right, they have lots of enemies shocked shocked

@Firegirl, if a drunk can get 54B naira contract just by sowing 100k-1m seed of Faith (Money) how much would Dangote make if he sows a seed of 5B Naira?

@ poster

Where were the Gods of the pagans? Did they travel? Or were they asleep? How could you rely on a lump of sand or log of wood to be your god? Are you guys so dumb. The Christians did not commit any atrocities on pagans rather what they did was to correct the mis-normal these bunch of disillusioned introduced to the world. How can you allow people that practise human sacrifice to live?

How can you believe in a tree or cement? If your mind is not twisted, you wouldn't be saying these rubbish.

Anyway, your post needs to be verified; whats your source please?

@ Frosbel,

Who exactly is a Believer? Catholics, Shango Worshippers, Muslims, Atheist?

Are Christ Embassy members believers? Can CE and RCCG members marry since they don't believe same things?
Religion / Re: Is It Right for a Christian to Expose False Prophets and False Teaching ? by mrmayor(m): 7:22pm On Oct 25, 2011
Who Exactly is False or Fake? How do we truly know who is a False/ True Prophet? I think its time Christians come up with so kind of Nafdac No for Pastors, Prophets, Bishops, Evangelist etc. Everyone claims the other is False!

@ Frosbel, pastor Jo asked a question, how do we know you're not a False Christian Apologist as you like to describe yourself?
Religion / Re: Has Atheism Ever Gotten U Into Trouble? by mrmayor(m): 9:09pm On Oct 21, 2011
Almost everyone around me knows or believes that I am a Freethinker not an Athiest, they think I'm disillusioned with churches not God or Christianity itself. Some actually admire me that I don like Oyaks,Daddy GO etc, they don't bother me as I spend my sundays watching the Soap opera called Synagogue. I tell them T.B Joshua is my pastor and I'm left alone, though I had lots of explaining to do after Nigeria v Guinea. grin grin

If you are Nigerian, you Must believe in Something, doesn't matter what you believe be it, Jah, God, Allah, Ogboni,Okija Juju, Egbesu, Pastor Chris, TB Joshua etc you just have to believe.

I remember nearly getting into a fight when I said Ogboni & Mamiwata stories were made up to control Africans, the hostility I got was scary but they all enjoy it when I argue with Jehovah Witnesses

Pastor Jo,  grin grin grin grin grin grin

If the biblical writers knew about Platinum, Ipad,BlackBerry, flat screen tv, private jet, I'm sure Revelation would very different.

I've always wanted to know what Heaven is supposed to look like and what people who go to heaven will be doing all day, I'm told there are no beer, tombo, suya, burger, ice cream in heaven and no EPL, that must surely make it a boring place, don't forget no Ikebe, no yanshing sad tongue.

Always nice to see the Three Musketeers ( Nuclearboy, Deepsight, Image123,) in one thread. wink cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

PASCAL'S WAGER. Nothing to Loose If You Believe In God.

Pascal's Wager, also known as Pascal's Gambit, is a suggestion posed by the French philosopher, mathematician, and physicist Blaise Pascal that even if the existence of God could not be determined through reason, a rational person should wager as though God exists, because living life accordingly has everything to gain, and nothing to lose. Pascal formulated his suggestion uniquely on the God of Jesus Christ as implied by the greater context of his Pensées, a posthumously published collection of notes made by Pascal in his last years as he worked on a treatise on Christian apologetics. The Wager was set out in note 233 of this work.

Following his argument establishing the Wager, Pascal addressed the possibility that some people may not be willing to sincerely believe in God even after acknowledging the enormous benefit of betting in favor of God's existence. In this case, he advises them to live as though they had faith, which may subvert their irrational passions and lead them to genuine belief.

Following the publication of Pascal's Wager, some have argued that the Wager may also apply to conceptions of God within different religious traditions or belief systems, and as such has been used in traditions other than Christianity, such as Islam. Historically, Pascal's Wager was groundbreaking because it charted new territory in probability theory, marked the first formal use of decision theory, and anticipated future philosophies such as existentialism, pragmatism, and voluntarism.[1]

@pdude,frosbel,

Abegi stop derailing this thread, this is not Evolution vs God thread, toba is not even here!

I was born and raised in Rivers state, if you are from the creeks you couldn't get away from Juju/Mamiwata stories even if you tried. So many stories on juju than I care to remember, from Evil Creeks aka evil forest to blonde haired mermaid bathing at wee hours of the morning. I've given up asking for proofs.

So many young men died during the militancy period because they had juju tied around the waist, ankles etc believing they were invincible but it didn't stop Nigerian army from sacking communities or Oil companies drilling oil in sacred land, creeks /evil forest.
