nopuqeater:

@mrmayor; And you didnt quote a single verse from the Bible which your brother used to answer the question.

My apologies, checked my post again, what I meant was " He quoted the bible over and WITHOUT answering the question". He believes I'm Hell already because I'm a skeptic.

He is sure that:

1. All those who are not Born Again ( Church goers, Anglicans, Christ Army Church, Teke Wari aka Prayer House member) are  in hell already.

2. All Non Tithers, No First Fruits offerer's, are robbing God and can make Heaven.

But when I asked him about Jews, who don't and won't accept Jesus as Messiah   ( he starts quoting verse after verse, Abraham this, Paul that. He won't give a Yes or No answer.
Religion / Re: Davidylan: Are Jews Going To Heaven? by mrmayor(m): 8:42pm On Oct 17, 2010
Chuksxp:

Let's see what these verses say:

John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, "

Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Romans 2:28-29
A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code.

Jesus is the only one that can save us. Our moral goodness cannot save us.

Asked my cousin (Pastor, a disciple of Copeland, Oyaks and Hinn) Are Jews going to Heaven? Just like davidlan, he quoted the bible over and over again with answering the question.

I made a mistake getting into Nairaland's Politics section past time my "Tribe is Better than Yours". I'll leave this thread with these words.

I see that Biafrans ( Ex- Lost Tribes of Israel) are looking for territories to add to the Great African Country Biafra that is yet to be, especially an oil rich one like Okoloma, the home of Ibanis. I'll do same if I were you! Happy hunting for route to the sea. You are still Land Padlocked.

komando.:

I went to school with a decendant of Oko Jumbo (the Igbo who fought Jaja in Bonny). Guess what? His name is SOTONYE. So what are you talking about?

While we wait for Biafran Flag to fly over Okoloma the home of Ibani people, a little historical fact.

Origin of Jumbo House. The House was founded by the Son of an Andoni Princess Ogbulika married to a Ibani (Bonny) nobleman, the nobleman name the boy in Ibani ( Sinamina-bofori= No one comes/ is without guilt/sin) the mother named him in (Obolo, Andoni Language. OKpomiaNkata) Sinaminabofori was named Jumbo by the British because he was a huge fat man, ( Jumbo is Swahili for Big Chief, Swahili refer to the Elephant as Big Chief)

When Sinamina-bofori died, his children being small to head the house, handed the house to his Ex-Slave now main trader Uku (Oko Jumbo) OKo Jumbo fought Jaja another Ex-Slave in the Bonny Civil war. After Oko Jumbo 1891, the house thrown into succession battle. No person named Oko Jumbo has ever being headed the house again.

Why do people keep asking "Source Please"; must every news have an online source before it is true? Heard about it @ 8.35pm last night through friends resident in the town area of Port Harcourt. There were sporadic shooting during the night, I have no sympathy for this hardcore militant, even after the so called amnesty his boys still terrorizes residents town and borokiri areas.

Good Riddance to Murderous Militant.

Still waiting on Mr Oyinbo to publish the detail of his theorem in any respected Scientific journal for scrutiny, everyone does so. He can't be serious if he goes about organizing workshop for Mathematical Laymen/Laywomen and expecting to be taken seriously. This is Mathematics, its either your theory can be proven or not, there is no hiding place or sentiments involved.

Tried entering his theory formula on my math software, it came up as error, symbols not recognized!

Amaechi had it coming, he talks, shouts the same way at many town hall meetings, he shouts down at his commissioners, Trad Rulers and if you are unlucky enough  to be of Riverine decent,  nobody dares offer a contrary opinion when Amaechi is talking, he finally met match. He can't get his goons to lock up this one. Waterfront would bring ( Civil War) to Rivers State if not handled properly,

I'm no fan of Local, State or Federal First Ladies, Dr Goodluck should get good handlers for his madam.

The list for states is in the order;

1. Akwa Ibom
2. Rivers
3. Delta
4. Bayelsa

The above states contribute about 80% of Nigeria's total yearly earnings.

I want to see those who are mad because their state contributes less. sad

You have vindicated the position that Igbos mixed with the Ijaws in many kingdoms: for example King Jaja, our own Ow11 on nairaland a.k.a Prince Uwakwe, and perhapse you.

Haha haha , just as I thought you picked up on Opara Ndoli grin grin grin grin

Don't piss yourself, the man known as Jubojubogha in Ibani which means ( Others have Bought [ Omoni= Slave] I have also bought) aka Jaja came much later in history, i'll get to that later. Igbos did mix with City States of Eastern Ijaw Fringe Ibani( Bonny) Wakirike (Okirika) Nkoro, Opubo (Opobo) mainly due to Ex-Slaves absorbed into the war canoe houses.

Ibime was correct, Okirika is made up of two people Konuju and Tubonuju who after long years of fighting made peace and refer to themselves as Wakirike ( We Are One) no need to fight.

When I'm ready, I'll post the real history of Port Harcourt.

I really don't have time for history lesson neither do I have the time to engage in Tribal Battles, I'll give some history outlines, advice do some research.

1. 14th century Ibani people (Bonny to British) (Ubani to Ibos/Igbos) of of the Isedani linage left the homeland (Tubaratoro present day Kolokuma LGA in Bayelsa State)after a civil war.

2. They were led by 3 brothers (1) Alagbariya (2) Asikunuma aka Asimini (3) Opuamakuba
. ( Read,Trading States of Oil Rivers by James Currie)

3. They travelled through salt water mangroves,Ogoni land, Ndoki-Azumini, they picked up Ibo/ Igbo people on the way, in Ibani History  name like Opara Ndoli is known  ( Read, Chronicle Of Grand Bonny)

4. Alagbariya was the Hunter and High Priest of Ikuba ( National God of Ibani People) Iguna was its Sacred Animal ( Read Things Fall Apart)

5. Alagbariya in his travels found a place that had the same Ecology as his original Homeland in Central Ijaw. ( Chronicles of Grand Bonny)

6. He named the place OKOLOMA ( Land of Curlew) it had same brackish salt water mangrove ecology as his homeland. All Ijaw refer to Bonny as Okoloma or Ibani

7. He reported to Opuamakuba, the first settled at Orupiri, at that time Tombia people were living at present day Finima (LNG Site) and Abalama people were at Abalamabie.

8. They arrive in the new home and found very little fresh water and Alagbariya as Priest of Ikuba sacrificed his daughter Osunju to the Gods for Fresh Water.

9. History records Opara Ndoli as leader/ Ruler of Ibani people at Orupiri, he didn't make the journey to Okoloma ( Bonny)

10. Opuamakuba was the first ruler in new home Okoloma, when he became old he handed over to Hunter/ Priest Alagbariya.

11. It was during Alagbariya's rule that the Portuguese first arrive. ( Read, Intelligence  Report On Bonny by H. Webber, Lower Niger and its Tribes P.A Talbot)

I'll stop here tonight.

1. Anything that begins to exist must have a trigger - a cause.

2. The universe began to exist.

3. The universe had a cause.

If the cause brought matter into existence, then logically it could not itself be matter: hence it is rational to posit that the cause is immaterial.

If indeed the Universe had a cause, then the creator ( Cause) must have a cause or trigger.

How, When and Where did (Cause/Trigger) Creator/God/Allah/ Yahweh etc come into existence?

Whatever office you occupy in the Government should not deprive you of your religious beliefs, it should guide you in carrying out your job conscienciously.  It does not mean that you cannot pray before doing your job or that you cannot use your biblical influence in making important decisions.  I know that people keep their faith in the back burner during the week and only dust it when it is time for church service.  There is nothing stopping prayers in the educational, industrial, health or Government institutions as the secular humanists will not like to see.  When our politicians depend on God and His Word to guide the nation the population would rejoice.

I just love this, Things I know People of faith would like to do while in office according to their beliefs.

Stone all Prostitutes, fornicators  to death. Bible & Koran.
Kill All Unbelievers                                        Bible & Koran.
Kill All Enemies of Allah/Yahweh                   Bible & Koran.

While you are on it Ola, Is it only Christians that can do according to their faith or can all and sundry do same?, no cartoons please!!!!

Deep Sight:

^^^ Exactly what I am on about here. Since this is a scientific fact that neither Matter nor Energy can be destroyed, must we not conclude that the energy which is the life force of a living creature does not perish at death, but merely changes form.

Is this not a good argument for the existence of that same energy in a different form - an intangible form - which may be analogous to what is meant by the term - "the spirit of a creature. . ."

For after all what is meant by the word "spirit" if not an intangible force. . .

Sir,

Measurable Energy of Matter can be Calculated, it doesn't matter its form, I have a sneaking feeling that you would say that all that dead manure, animals and of course humans exist in another form of energy called Spirits/ Souls.

Analogous ( Shakes Head) Sir, the whole point of writing is to communicate, you are not doing that, why don't make it Digital Wireless while you are at it, next on the thread you would another battle with Atomic Man if Analogous is First Person past tense or present continues wink

What was your question? I asked a very simple question which you refused to answer only to post more silly Cartoons.

Does a Man have The Fundamental Right, To Worship or Not To Worship a God or Gods?

Does a Man have the Fundamental Right to Consensual Sexual Relationship with Another Man?

Conservation Of Energy: Energy Can Neither Be Created Nor Destroyed, this one of the most important laws of Physics, it governs every aspect of our lives. The Heat used to cook our food, comes from wood, Hydrocarbons, (gas, kerosene, electricity) etc which gets its original energy from the sun, in the form of light and heat.

Energy is continually Recycled. Energy in the form Light and Heat, heats the Earth, Plants use that Energy to Create Food through Photosynthesis, Animals ( Rats) eat this Plants, giving up C02 which the plants breathe to produce yet more food. Animals (Rat) dies, decays gives up gases (Ammonia), this gas rises mix up with atmosphere falls as Rain ( Nitric Oxide) Fertilizes the Earth, which mixes with the Decayed flesh of the Rat to produce manure, if the Manure is covered with Sand, over thousands ( Millions) years it turns in Hydrocarbons (Crude Oil, Gas, Coal) Man digs up Oil, Fuels his car, Electrical Energy etc. Circle Continues.

Through Out the process Energy was Not Destroyed Neither Was It Created, it only changed Form and State.

Religion / Re: Four Noble Truths by mrmayor(m): 10:12am On Jul 13, 2010
Pastor AIO,

Well pastor I gone back to read  your original post and my reply, I don't think that I went off the track with my replies, maybe I didn't explain my 3 additional " Noble Truths". My truths cuts across all religious faiths.

5th Noble REAL Truth.

IGNORANCE: Karl Marx was right when he said " Religion Is Opium Of The Masses". Ignorance is the key ingredient for any Religious system to function, the less you know about the Origins of a Believe System, its founding fathers/mothers etc the better. It allows you to accept them as holy men and woman, without blemish who where on the path to heaven.

6th Noble REAL Truth.

THOU SHALL NOT CHALLENGE HOLY BOOKS. This Truth again cuts across all Religions, as all Holy books i.e Bible, Koran preach that what is written in it is Infallible, how can a believe system function and thrive for a long time when its Core Tenets, Ideologies are open to debate?

7th Noble REAL Truth
THOU SHALL NOT CHALLENGE OR QUESTION RELIGIOUS AUTHORITY: All Faith systems hold this as its one of Core Rules, you can't be a TRUE BELIEVER  if you challenge the teachings, rules and authority.

Pastor AIO,

Correct me where I went wrong, this thread has turned into the Definition and Use of The Word STAGGERING between Nuclearboy and Deep Sight.

If this was supposed to a continuation of another Thread, you could have given the link to that thread and ask ONLY DEEP SIGHT and NUCLEARBOY to reply to make it a private thread.

@ Deep Sight,

Bros, too much grammar, you confuse me all the time. Break it down abeg, so that the less learned among us can understand you.

@ Atomic Man,

nuclearboy:

No DeepSight, what we are unable to face is your embrace of "leading the witness".

A day in the life of DeepSight

DeepSight smiles: "A" is a member of the alphabet, isn't it
witness: YES, it is
DeepSight: I like "A". very lovely design, so algebraic it almost brings on a hard
witness nods smiling (not realising a trap is being set): "I agree. Sort of sexy"
DeepSight: I like "S" too and it is also a member of the alphabet, isn't it?
witness smiling agreeably though wondering what the noise is about: "Ah yes, it is another favorite of mine"
DeepSight: All alphabetic characters come from the arab world. They have that in common, did you know?
witness (ecstatic he at least has not an enemy in the counsel): yes, yes, yes
DeepSight FROWNING: now since you know they have the same source and CANNOT debate that, and both are of lovely design WHICH IS INELUCTABLE plus both are alphabetic characters, a LOGICAL STATEMENT you have allowed credence to, it is THUS LOGICAL AND NATURAL THAT "A" and "S" are the same and nothing but the same and this is INCONTESTABLE
witness (thinking to self and afraid of being bitten in the face) - abeg, wetin this guy smoke wey he near me like this. Says aloud: "Ehm ehm oga lawyer, I fit go piss?"

Worth considering! Kinda strange for you to be the only one who sees yourself as objective, isn't it?

You made my day, I just had very good laff.
