Computer Market / Computer Village Bad Experience by mrnairaland1(m): 2:55pm On Mar 26, 2016
A guy who bought an “iPhone”
from Computer Village in Ikeja,
Lagos. He was shocked to discover that
he actually bought a Nokia phone
with antenna.
But the question now which only he
can answer is ‘why didn’t the guy
check and access the phone before
payment’?
See photos of the “iPhone” below. I
must confess the packaging is
ingenious.
Always open your head and eyes
when you visit Computer Village,

papparatzzi2013:
Why are we ll making noise at this time.

The Stamp Duty Act was passed in 2004, revised version was passed in 2009/10. Some people took the Act to court, up to Supreme Court and lost in 2012.

What were we all looking at for 12years before the implementation? it is high time we stop our lackadaisical attiude to governance and laws being passe by our lawmakers.

This is a major lesson for us.

Once a law is passed, government is duty bound to uphold it, no matter whose ox is gored.

My prayer point is the Lord that changed the story of moribund NIPOST overnight will change our stories too, From a Zero revenue generation institution, NIPOST suddenly became an institution that will be generating 2.6trillion per annum for govt. That is a miracle!!!
young man, if you read people's messages well, you will understand that their complaints is that they are being over charged. We all know the country is facing trying times as a result of previous government mismanagement or misrule and we need to generate revenue. But doing that we should not be over charged, get that straight.

Dear gurus in the house, you people are doing great job here. I can see I found myself on the part 8 page of the forum but I know it's not late to take a bold step.

I applied to a university in the US last year for computer science with my HND computer engineering (3.02) and I was denied admission after all money spent on application fees, transcript collection and mailing of my documents.
While checking the Internet, I discovered people got masters admissions to US schools with their HND without gre, gmat or toefl. I also got information that some schools accepts uploading of transcripts via the school portal. A friend that traveled recently also told me he got schools with application fee waiver, after he traveled he could not be reached again to help with mine.
I believe all that I have stated above could be achieved with your kind gestures and time. From testimonies on this forum, I can see I don't need an agent to have my study visa and will give my testimony soon.

My great people in the house, I will appreciate it if I get get lists of schools that I can apply to without gre or toefl, would allow transcripts upload and wouldn't cost me much for computer science, information technology or computer related courses and a step by step support from you all on ways my success stories would be welcomed. I want to kick start today as all plans is to get my visa before first half of the year.

Best regards.

Wait o ooo.. pdp admitted they truly looted. This is Satanic!!!

I don't blame olisa metuh, but he just misbarked by admitting they truly looted and shared tax payers money among few Nigerians. That's the job he's been paid to DO though.
He's paid to bark and bark. I wish you well in your future barking.

He knows they have ruined this country and still comes out to justify why they have done that. Is this not demonic?

We keep reading and hearing loots in Billions of dollars and naira on a daily basis by few Nigerians; impoverishing the country. If this Jonathan's administration had not been truncated, this barbaric act would not be exposed and this impunity will continue.

Oh holy thunder! Fire all these looters our from their hideouts and give their supporters brains so that they will be free from slavery.

Op, you are wrong. I'm not sure you know some of these phones can have their IMEI modified by the user. I already modified my phone IMEI to a blackberry IMEI. I believe with the modification I just did, I have turned my phone to original.

With MTK engineering app or some codes I have here, you can change your phone IMEI to whatever IMEI number you want. I modified so that I can enjoy the glo 1k for 3gb subs

I don't blame him much.... His obviously do not buy fuel from any fuel station by himself, cos he have not witnessed a very long cue under a scorching sunshine..... He do not know how many businesses these fuel scandal is causing Liquidation......

He is a dullardinhoo with a very myopic level of extra-sensory perception and mental articulation that is why he behaves the way he do...... Malta my ass, Guinness my Foot undecided [/size]
If the man refuse to travel and delegates people, You will say shebi dem talk am say the man don old. The man, yet dey go up and down to see how Nigeria would be better off among the comity of nations, they are still complaining. Travelling for bilateral meetings is part of his duty and he is doing his job as expected ni. Thank God, the man is not listening to distractions but concentrate on the job we elected him to do. We all know our roof is leaking and it should be looked into asap, which I am very sure he's working on. I am not pleased with the current state of the economy, I am sure he's still cleaning the mess the previous administration left behind. Let's support him
Travel / Re: Major Causes Of Traffic Gridlock In Lagos by mrnairaland1(m): 8:56am On Nov 21, 2015
2odd:
To all Lagos Residents and it suburb , traffic jam (go slow, hold up) is part of everyday life . you have to plan ur day in accordance with it . Many have been wondering what's are the major causes of these GRIDLOCKS and during these festive period it will surely be elevated
Here are my major causes
1. location of businesses : Many major companies are located in Lagos and it environ . thereby there's huge influx of people trying to get to their work places from their abodes early in the morning and and vice versa in the evening .Those that works in the island , or stays in sango can attest to that.
2 . state of the roads: Most of the roads are in bad conditions and not properly manage . a very good example is at ile -epo along oshodi -sango road. that road is beyond spoilt .if rain should fall , you are in for it..
3. Church programs and Political activities : these two are kinda inter related. when churches like RCCG and Winners hold their annual conventions. the gridlock is extremely bad. when our politicians decides to pay Lagos a visit , the citizenry knows they are in for it.
4. lack of proper town planning: this is another issue ,several buildings , Churches , markets are located in awkward places .thereby resulting in traffic Gridlock
5. Attitudes of pedestrians : some of lagosians are hard heads . some will be crossing highways with impunity even if overhead bridges are available , oncoming vehicles will have to slow down thus causing gridlocks. a typical example can be found in Oshodi, where KAI is arresting offenders.but that's not deterring some people.
6.Roadside stores: some people hawks their wares on the highways and you will c drivers and passengers haggling over the prices of goods right in the middles of the road!.
7.Drivers attitudes: most of us have being in traffic jams and we kept wondering what is the cause only for us to c two motorist battling it out right in the middle of the road.sometimes we can c a woman in suit trying earnestly to eat some food. we may even witness two drivers trying to fit into the same space. a very good example occurred at lekki toll gate right in front of oriental hotel where two drivers got stuck will trying to pass through the gate at the same time!
8. location of law enforcement agents: This usually get me angry. you will c law enforcement agent lurking at the end of the road, portholes, curves to catch offenders. the most recent one I witnessed occurred along yaba road where a motorist was told to reverse back on the BRT lane with at least 20 vehicles behind him when they could have Stayed at beginning to avert it all.

Romance / The Wife Gets The Gun Without Single Hesitation by mrnairaland1(m): 8:53am On Nov 21, 2015
Pls let's respond with sincerity
Robbers enter a house, asks for all the money and valuables. After they collect what they can, they give the man of the house a gun with instructions to shoot his wife or else he shot himself. . The man gets the gun, points it at his wife and hesitates...He is thinking of what he has gone through in life with his wife and how she has suffered and sacrificed for him and the kinda love he have for her... . He hands back the gun and says, "I am sorry I can't do this..."The boss of the robbers silently grabs the gun from him and passes it on to the wife with the same instruction. . The wife gets the gun and without any single hesitation points to her husband's head and pulls the trigger...But the gun had no bullets in it... The robbers get their gun and walk out of the house laughing. . QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION 1. If you were the man in that house how would you react towards your wife? 2. If you were the wife, what explanation can you give to your husband! 3. If you were invited to bring peace between this couple, what advice would you give?
